Moth Dust I must admit that I'm not sure if I should be excited or not. .__.
It's always super exciting when I can find awesome lolita stuff for cheap prices, but I sort of worry that lolita will one day be some mainstream thing that preppy little girls destroy. T-T I agree. I can just see it coming where girls add some frilly trim to a skirt and walk around saying "I iZ a LoLi! LaWlZoRz!"

I must repeat my point...WHO CARES?? its none of anyones business how they wear their clothes. I take "preppy" clothes and make them not preppy, and I take "gothic" clothes and make them not gothic, and when i find them i take loli clothes and make them not loli! They're clothes. Clothes don't make a trend, the people who wear them do. if you're truly lolita you shouldn't care if someone else wears your style of clothes. I, personally, would be flattered. I hate it that this same idea keeps being brought back up.

I mean, I would be excited to see another Lolita walking down the street. Honestly. But my point is that IF the the fashion becomes mainstream, I feel like so many people will adopt it and the whole meaning of the original fashion will go out of whack and it won't be the same.

I don't think that it's even destined to become mainstream. People need to think about this rationally. Think: how many girls over 6 will actually volenteer to wear poofy dresses and frilly underpants? Really? Tho I would not mind at all seeing more lolis, so what I say is bring it on! If Walmart actually does get loli clothes it just makes them more acessible for us.

♥ I really agree with Starfruit_me. I highly doubt the media really promotes childlike innocence. So I am more afraid of Lolita dying out then growing up.

I refuse to support Wal-mart. even if they are cheap, cute clothes. Wal-mart is evil, and we should all do our part. 3nodding

That's rather fascinating. I will probably buy a few pieces and put them together to create a more Victorian look than a loli-look. If Loli does become mainstream...I certainly hope manners, poise, and decorum come with it.

This is just me being curious, but-- why does everyone keep saying Wal-Mart is evil? I can think of corporations that are far moreso than it is. =/

I'm not sure, I love walmart, actually. =/ I found some beautiful, expensive, great quality fabric there once. And~ I just got my new black hoodie there a few hours ago. <3 -Snuggles the black fleecy-ness.- And they sell pocky. xD Only place around here that sells anything cool. xD
I think it's because of that old rumor thing that they plant chips in clothes so they can track who ever is wearing them, or that they poison the fruit so they can brainwash us. OR they were raised by paranoid parents? [No offence~! Just a theory for people in general. D: No hates. ]Bollocks, that is. Bah, If wal-mart comes through with it, all the better for me to go there.

That's really weird. XD I don't shop a lot at Walmart. confused I've never looked at clothes there either... My mom gets frustrated easily because she can never seem to find a person who speaks English to help her. x3 However, I like Target. ^^ I found a blazer there that I wore until it turned grey! xd

My parents both despise walmart, since they supposably have been known to abuse their employees. Something like that. The walmart nearest me is in a really bad part of town, too... >__>; People have been shot over drug deals in the parking lot.
So this isn't good news for me. Now if target were to start selling a lolita brand, that would be love.
