[ crying Your damage makes my heart bleed from sheer envy...]
The second Skeleton -- even upon seeing his comrade decimated -- charged in, intent upon destruction. His sword was held out from his side as he ran, making it easier to slash. Which he did just as soon as he came in range. His sword was a shiny blur as it raced towards Lahhel's injured leg. The idea was to cut the leg so many times that it would just...fall off. That would be nice. The sword slipped past Lahhel's defenses, cutting him just a little more. The Skeleton grew more excited.

Lahhel starts to feel a little bit disappointed, he expected more from Esildo's monsters, but at least the crowd was going wild, and his friend was going to earn some extra money tonight, so Lahhel was happy to help. He prepared for a final attack, the same stance as before, his most powerful one. He raised his arm high, the twin blades shone bright, right before striking for a final and mighty blow.
Overhead stance, auto-power up(6): +25% damage

The Skeleton crumpled into dust, just as his partner had crumpled from the one hit. The crowd sat in stunned silence for awhile that was broken suddenly by their roar of approval. People stood up and waved their arms frantically for this hometown hero who had come back to take on the challenge of Karse. Esildo shook his head as he pushed the necessary panels to dismiss the field and allow Lahhel to walk out. He gave the young Viera a stern look. "If you'd told me you'd improved that much, I would have given you something more suited to your abilities!" His tone was that of a proud father. He clapped Lahhel heartily on the back. "Let's go get you some rest. Not that you need it!" He laughed. "I've got something special in mind for that little brat from earlier." His look turned dark. Esildo was very good at holding grudges. "b*****d waved his poisoned blade around in my face. And he thinks he can get away with that?!"
As the two walked off, the board again flashed back on the screen. This time with Lahhel's score. The crowd cheered loudly again to see: 50/50.

"I'm sorry Esildo, I guess I didn't noticed it myself." Lahhel answered a bit embarrassed for the situation, but smiled quickly after, when that typical feeling of the stadium ran over him again, it was great to be finally back. He was imagining when Esildo would unleash his old friend to fight, maybe at the next contestant. Poor guy if he did so...
After the match Lahhel came out of the resting area quickly after taking care of his scratched leg and set on a chair of the contestant's area, to enjoy the show.

After the fight was over, Virgil leaned on the railing. So then, this guy wasn't bad at fighting at all, and seemed to be quite talented. Then again, this guy was older than himself and was probably more experienced. Unsheathing his greatsword and leaning it on his shoulder, Virgil looked around the stadium. So then, next up was him, and he wanted to have some fun today. Walking back down the stairs, Virgil walked down some stairs and found the owner. "It's my turn, right? I hope there are no bad feelings between us." Scratching his head and staring blankly into the arena, he smiled. "Though, maybe you'll give me a challenge monster-wise if you do hate me." The poison on his sword was dry now, and Virgil was hoping to use it well.

Esildo smiled confidently at the man. "No hard feelings at all," he lied smoothly. "And I've got just the monster for you to test that big blade out on." He turned, pushing in some numbers, too fast for anyone to see. The door to the dome appeared and opened. Esildo gestured grandly, "After you." His smile was one of pure pleasure. This was going to be fun to watch. He snuck a glance at Lehhal. He wondered how Lehhal would feel about this monster. It was certainly a special one. And he would be facing it as his final battle before contestant vs. contestant battles began.

Virgil shook his head and fidgeted with the hilt of his sword. "Like to see you carry this huge sword around during an entire fight. Betcha' you'd drop it after a few minutes of swinging the thing." Walking into the arena, he looked calmly around his surroundings. Virgil didn't exactly like how the owner was smiling at him. There was too much friction in the beginning with their meeting for him to be friendly. Slashing out in front of him, Virgil held his sword high up in the air. He brought it down and set the blade into the floor, sizzling from the poison. Virgil was going to enjoy this, from the way it felt, fight to the death.

As soon as Virgil stepped inside, the door disappeared, locking him inside. The shimmering of the dome came again, revealing a completely normal grassy field. A huge shimmering on the other half of the field clouded most of the stadium from view. When the monster came into view, it was a gigantic scorpion took up a good bit of the field. It's dull brown shell sucked in the light. It's pincers were easily as big as Virgil's head. The large tail was halfway curled along its back but rose up to full height as the beast spotted the human.

The scorpion beast scuttled forward on its multiple legs, pinchers snapping angrily. This beast had been here for years. He knew the routine. He was kept in a private enclosure until it was time to fight. When he killed whatever was in the ring, he would be fed and returned to his home. Right now, he was not happy at all about being moved. And he wanted to hurry up and kill this tiny creature so he could return. His left pincer darted forward as the creature got closer and snapped onto Virgil. It's grip was strangling and unforgiving.
