Nuri listened to Pastel, a swivel of an ear, as she questioned him. Drastic. He quirked a smile against his paw. Of course not. Extreme would be letting this go, or killing Nuri outright. He jumped to his feet at Ling's call and looked back at Pastel, eyes full of regret. He suddenly felt an impulse to lick her cheek but pushed it away by turning away. He padded up to the royal pair quietly, head bowed heavily, glancing once to Xia then at Ling.

Ling sighed as his mate licked his cheek, he did not strike her, nor did he move to return it. It was not cold, but hardly affectionate. He looked up at Nuri as he drew nearer him. "Nuri...I have heard from many of the pride's members...I will not say I was wrong to shout at you, I do not believe that, but what you did you did before any of my affections were confessed to Xia. I cannot punish you for taking something that is mine before it even was so..." He sighed. "I have made up my mind on this...I was in the wrong...I seem to be doing that alot as of late."

"That's...not possible..." Nuri protested. "You may not have said anything formally, but since you both were young I remember you being very close." He shook his head and looked at Xia for a few moments as he spoke. "The fact that I knew ahead of time makes it inexcusable. You were lenient... I understand that you want to be because we are close, but you have a pride to think about. Others will see this as a threat to your authority since obviously they know about this. It's going to be viewed as a challenge."

Nola lead them out to the hunting grounds and there they found more zebra. "They are still grazing because they think we will not strike again in the same day. Look for any that you think would be a good kill." She said to the others as she scanned the herd for another beast to kill.
As Ling dismissed her Adelle sat there still looking out after her daughter and her hunting party. She heard the king beckon Nuri so that they could talk. Yes everything was slowly but surely straightening out. The older lioness laid down again and closed her eyes resting them for a bit. she would guard the cave while they gathered more food. To be honest Ling should have taken the first zebra they had brought back for himself and his growing family. The rest of the pride could have whatever the hunting party came back with on the second trip.

The magenta got up licking her sleeping children. They needed milk and she needed food. Nudging them close to the brush so they wouldn't be seen, she trotted away from the hide-out toward the hunting grounds. She hadn't eaten in a while in fear of her cubs being found by other predators, but hopefully Mika'il was still around to protect them. After a while, she came upon a herd of grazing zebra. They seemed unusually calm eating away at the grasses getting fatter by the mouthful. Her left ear twitched in question as she then noticed other lions of the pride. They seemed to have formed a hunting party. Leanna kept her distance from them as she picked out her prey. When they attacked, she would and possibly bring down a big enough animal for her and her mate. Her form sunk into the grasses as she crawled on her belly trying not to make as much noise as possible. Her left ear twitched again as she thought of which one to kill. Soon, her eyes became glued to a stallion. He seemed a little weak, and fatter than the others, possibly slower as well. But, could she bring him down? The stallion was big as well and seemed to have strength where he lacked in speed. A swift kick from him could put her out for days at most. Maybe she should find another option? Leanna's belly grumpled in protest at the thought. No, she would have to stick with that one. That was her best option for now at least.

Meribelle watched the zebra intently. She nudged Nola as sge watched a cupple of little ones playing away from the group. The heard was still close to the two, and Meribelle did not know enough about hunting to know weather this would be a good chance or not, so she looked to Nola, "what about those two foals?" She whipered.

Nola spyed the foals and then shook her head. "They aren't big enough to feed the pride properly. Besides if we let them live they will still breed and make more food for us." She scanned the field again before seeing a large but old zebra male. "There. He is slow enough that we can catch him and big enough to feed us all." She looked at the other two and smiled a little. "Akira you go at it from the left side and herd it towards us. Meribelle, when you see the beast coming at us jump out and scare him. I will go for his throat when that happens." She refocused on their prey. "After I have its throat attack from bothsides. Be careful of his hoofs though and if you can't hold on get out of there. With any luck we will be able to break it's neck or its legs so that we can take it home." She nodded to them both and then headed off the middle leaving Akira to go left and Meribelle to go right.

Akira nodded keeping low as he shifted to the left. once in position He sprang from the bushes and ran straight towards the old Zebra keeping his keen eyes on it the whole time as he herded it towards the two females. He let out a low roar as both a signal for the females to attack and to scare the zebra right into their trap.

{b}{color=pink]As the beast neared her meribelle jumped out at it with a loud roar, fangs bared and claws extended. She watched as the Zebra reared, and she mosted to the right to escape it's hooves, and took a swipe at it's belly.

Nola lept out of the beast and sank her teeth into its neck as Meribelle went for its stomcahe. She growled and clawed at its head.

During the commotion, Leanna sprang from her post and was heading for her target when she saw the other lions. They must had the same idea as she did. She growled and turned at the last second trying to catch some stragglers. The only one she could seem to get close to was a foal. Snarling, she chased it down snapping at it's legs. She sprang from her hind legs and brought the small foal down. The magenta's jaws slammed on the beast's neck as she pinned it down to the ground, her weight crushing it's body. Leanna tried to hurry. She had been away from her cubs for too long and she needed to get back home.

"A challenge that will go unmet. I will not fight you Nuri, not for something that happened before my love and choice for queen had been made. There is no challenge to power, nothing, I will not accept the fact that you think I should punish you for this." He rose on his front legs and stared the other down. He did not like the fact that Nuri seemed to be taking this so harshly.

Mika stayed close to his cubs, keeping a watchful rose eye on his surroundings. The rough tongue bathed his pink daughter, who was laid on her stomach. He chuckled softly as she enjoyed the bath with a loud purr. At the moment he didn't worry about what might happen soon.

Akira sprung immediately onto the opposite side of the zebra also catching its neck in his strong jaws. He bit down hard on the neck next to Nola, he heard a snap as the zebra went limp.he let go of the neck and smiled at the two "that was great!"

With the foal's neck in her jaws, the lioness turned and started to drag it out of the hunting area. She kept well away from the others not feeling like answering any questions. Her left ear twitched as she passed them, not even feeling to acknowledge their presence. Why bother? They knew that she knew that they were there. His feathered tail twitched slightly as she dragged the carcas back to her hiding spot with the cubs. It took a while, but she managed. A sigh of relief erupted from her mouth when she saw Mika with the cubs. Atleast he was there to protect them. She set the zebra foal down infront of him and collapsed. "Oh...I'm sorry, Mika, but it's the only one I could catch." She licked her muzzle and paws clean of the blood and looked at her daughter, who seemed to be enjoying her father's company, and her son, who was sleeping near to the big male's tail using his feathers as a blanket. She smiled and nipped his ear. "I guess you really are a good baby-sitter." She chuckled softly, then got serious. "I..hope you weren't upset when you found out..."
