[ The Chase - Part Four Part One ]
He ran, ducked, dodged, dove, dipped, and dodged his way. Weaving through the forest as the Jabberwock once again picked up its steam and came tearing after him. There was stuff flying everywhere, making it hard to maneuver at times.
He got hit once. She wasn't sure what had happened. Noah was there, with her, hauling her to her feet as they kept running, and then that thing was looming over him. She blinked, heard a scream, and when her eyes-- "s**t!" What had happened? Had she heard a chime? Had he just... "Come on, don't stop!" Just keep moving. A little more. A little further ahead. She pulled at him as she ran, even as a claw traced a painful line down her shoulder. "Don't stop!" [ The Chase - Part Four Part Two ]
His focus was on running, to finally make it out of this quest in one piece. He tried not to think about the large lumbering creature chasing him like a T-Rex from Jurassic Park nor did he think about the tree branch that struck him (or fingers? He didn't know). Just to keep going, to finish this. He had gusto in his steps and determination running through his pixelated veins.

"Don't -- stop," Dog agreed breathlessly, and spared half a moment mentally to be grateful that he was breathless but not actually out of breath, and that he wasn't getting a stitch in his side, and that the only thing that actually hurt was when the claws raked across his back again. Up ahead the trees seemed to be thinning out. He wasn't sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing. On one hand, it was more room for them to run. On the other, it was more room for the Jabberwock to run. [ THE CHASE PART 5 ] He broke free of the dark forest just in time to hear a roar off in the distance followed by a scream. The Jabberwock had found another prey, but it wasn't him... Not today. With a sigh of relief he flopped down onto the ground by another sign post that would, hopefully, lead him far, far away from here once he'd caught his breath. It was going to take a minute, though, winded from a bit more than just the run. "s**t..." He laughed, shaking his head slowly as he took off his hat, running his fingers over his hair. "... I just escaped a Jabberwock." No one was ever going to believe him. The trees were thinning. It was either a blessing, or... well it wasn't as if they could stop. Peyton kept going, inwardly cringing as Noah's hand tightened around her's, claws slashing down his back. She squeezed back, reassuring. Honest to God it couldn't chase them forever, could it? She thought, maybe, the sounds of rampaging beast were growing more distant. She didn't hear the snap of teeth right over her shoulder anymore, and she chanced a glance back. It was further behind than it was. It was slowing. She didn't have any idea why, but she didn't ******** care, so long as it stopped chasing them. "Almost," she gasped out, eyes on the light through the trees. "Almost!" And then the most amazing thing happened as he traversed out of the deeper parts of the forest. the sounds of roaring and anger from a mighty beast grew less and further away, replaced by (probably in his head) the voice of angels as they sang his victory. Koume made comments.
"Oh thank you Super Sentai gods!" He nearly just wanted to collapse to the ground from relief of making it out, not even giving two thoughts about the shaking beneath his feet. Her eyes curiously watched as there seemed to be a flood of small creatures running from deeper parts of the forest. The ground had begun shaking, yes, but she couldn't see how much of a problem that would really be until she saw it. So large and gigantic and very interesting looking. OuO stared up at the mighty Jabberwock, kind of admiring it until it sort of attacked them.
Oh. Ow. Oh, that's probably why everything was running. The deafening roar of the beast seemed to subside, ebbed by the voices and whispers of the familiar. At first she didn't realize what they were, so caught into the task at hand but soon they rang true and loud. Calling to her, the voices of her friends. Those she held dear, telling her to come to them. It was oh so tempting to turn her head around, to go to see where they were behind her.
Honestly, she really would have but something stopped her from doing so. Told her to keep going. The odd peace with the voices didn't last for long until the Jabberwock thing made its presence known once again, and in grand scale. Thrashing and destroying and snapping at the small ghoul as she ran. Olivia just tried to keep going as best she could.
But it had gotten her, stopped her in her retreat and bit down hard. She figured it was the end of her journey until something beeped from behind her back as always, activating some sort of device she had picked up. That second chance had given her the edge, perhaps confusing the large beast as she managed to somehow survive its attack. But it recollected itself and chased her once more, sending her deeper and deeper into the forest to get away.

[ The Chase - Part Five ]
In such a short amount of time, she had oddly gotten used to the beeping and the sounds of the roars from the Jabberwock and soon one retreated as she managed her way out of the deep part of the forest. Her mouth fell open in curiosity when she couldn't hear it as clearly, even daring to turn around to see the beast form seem to be going the other way. Did it get bored... or...?
Well, again, she wasn't going to get eaten now. For now, at least by that. She could continue playing in this very interesting world. The voices Meat heard were familiar but none that he really wanted to turn and face at this point in time, not while he was being chased. He really didn't want to face his mother or his aunts right now. He was thankful that it was those voices, and not those of his sister that he heard - he'd of probably turned around and tried to fight the thing if he had. Meat took the right fork snagging the health potion and downing it quickly. He was all about keeping his health up after all - there wasn't a point in getting a second chance if you just dropped dead from damage.
