Yakov snuggled in. "Absolutely."

Luka roared at the phone as it screeched in her ear and then went silent. Oh, he would most definitely pay for that. She turned to Brittany and somehow managed to calm down enough to hold a conversation.

"So, Brittany. You've had a change of heart have you."

"Uh, you could say that."

"I know, sweetie, I just did. Now, get to the point."

"Oh, right. Well...um...these people...they well...they started collecting all the wolves in the area. Said they were working on some plan for gaining rights for the supernatural community so we didn't have to hide all the time...and...um...so I went with them. But I don't think that's what they're really doing. I mean, I've seen people go in and come out all different and some people who don't come back again. And, I mean, it was nice of them to bring me back as a vampire and all, but doesn't that seem weird to you."

"Yes, Brittany, we know that weird experiments are going on there. What does this have to do with you?"

"Um...well...since they figured out I know you guys, they kinda want me to spy on you, but I figured I could only pretend and..."

"You want to be a double agent?"

Brittany nodded.

"Okay, honey, don't take offense to this, but where did you get that idea? It's not like you to think...ever."

"I just thought if I could spy for them, it could work backwards...and what's a double agent?"

Luka smiled. "There's the Brittany I know."

"Seriously, what is it?"

"Brittany, just rest now, Ally's got a nice dark room set up for you. I'm gonna catch some sleep and then decide how to deal with a pair of dumbasses."

Yakov couldn't sleep. Every noise he heard made him panic. He was so sure it was her coming for them. He sat up and his flickered around to every possible entrance of the room.

Luka paced her room. Was this for real or did someone plant ideas in Brittany's brain? It isn't like that's hard or anything. Still, even if this was legit, would Brittany be capable of pulling this off without giving herself away. Of course, that also meant she wasn't smart enough to get away with not looking like a plant. But then again, this was Brittany. She probably wouldn't realize someone had planted the idea in her head if they had walked up to her and said, "Hey Brittany, you should pretend to be a double agent." Damn, working with people this stupid was way harder than dealing with abnormally smart people.

Yakov got up and checked outside all of the windows before shutting them and locking them. At least the shattering of the glass would give them some warning. He then gave the hallway a quick sniff before shutting and locking the door. He started pacing the room, trying to find a spot where he could see all the ways in. But that left Jeff, all alone. And he supposed that she didn't have to come through and entrance. She could crash through a wall or the ceiling, or she could get Ally to...damn it. He nearly pulled his hair out in frustration.

Yakov look up at Jeff. "She's going to try to kill you."

"Oh to hell with it." Luka flopped back on her bed and sighed. She decided she couldn't really trust Brittany based solely on an evidence Brittany could present, because well...it was Brittany. But at least she could take her for test drive before throwing her potentially useful a** out.

Yakov slowly inched toward the bed. "I don't want her to kill you."

"I don't want you to kill her either."

Yakov followed without really paying attention to where he was going. "You say to the person who caught all you alpha aggression last time you two fought."
