Franki smiled and sat. "Thanks," Franki said. She smiled. She messed with the lollipop stick as she waited for Sirius to sit down.

Sirius sat down with a flourish. When a foxy waitress came to take their order, it used up all of it will not to look at her the wrong way. Franki would be seriously ticked. "Two butterbeers please," he said, his eyes downcast. The waitress gave him a stare, then left. He nervously rubbed his neck. "Nice weather, huh?" Sirius asked, even though there were great, stormy clouds covering the sun.

James grinned at Lily's silly face, the tension flying away in an instant. "Now who's being immature, Evans!" he joked, nudging her arm with his elbow.

"Yeah, it's a cloudy day. The weather's great. How about that Acid Pop? Has it made a hole in your tongue yet?" Franki asked with a smile. She stuck out her tongue to show that it had turned lime green.

Lily nudged back, forgeting her worries. "I dunno, Potter. Maybe Sirius, off with Franki somewhere." She grinned playfully.

Sirius noticed the Werther's was gone. He stuck out his tongue too, normal and hole-free. Sirius was glad he wasn't holey. The waitress returned, bearing butter beer. "Drink up!" he said.

Franki was slightly suspicious of Sirius's unmarked tongue, but drank her butter beer all the same. She smiled and drank deeply. "So, dare I ask, why me? Why did you decide to ask me to the Valentine's dance?"
((George is the holey one, Fred is the dead one... but he's not dead, dammit!!! he and Percy switched places, dammit! sorry, i love Fred))

The grin widened. She poked him, not caring if their past references were mostly yelling.

Franki finished up her butter beer. "Should we get back to the castle?" Franki asked. She had just about everything ready for the dance, she just had to get ready beforehand.

Sirius gulped his butter beer down, wiping away the excess. "Yes, that we should," he said, eyes crinkling. He left a tip on the table, not to big, not to small. Then he paid the tab up front, giving Rosmerta an extra galleon to keep their visit on the down low. They walked out, past honeydukes, and into the cellar.

Franki opened the trapdoor and jumped down, then backed up against the wall to stay out of his way. She smiled to herself as she waited. She was definitely thinking about giving him that kiss even though he had only had one Acid Pop. He was nice and kind and cute and funny. She really liked him.

Franki walked ahead of him by a foot or two. "Come on, Sirius, I know you can walk faster than this," she joked. She stopped walking for a second so he could catch up, then proceeded to take another Acid Pop.

Sirius speeded up, not wanting to lose Franki. Since he had already used up one of his cheats,
he actually ate an Acid Pop. Bad idea. They didn't call it acid for nothing! He ordered himself to keep it in his mouth, if he wanted that kiss.
