Seishin-chan Ok... this guy comes up to my register with a cart LOADED with items and says that he's going to be going for his Master's Degree next year and wants to get all this done now. I rang everything up: $1622.25 I swiped his credit card and it came up with a screen saying "Referral: call vendor" which means that I have to call a number and try to figure out why the card is not working. After literally 25 minutes of being on hold and me talking to a bank person and the bank person talking to the customer I was told to go ahead with the trasaction and that everything would be fine. I hund up and tried the card again... the same screen with the referral came up. I tried 5 more times. Nothing worked. I had to call again and they finally came me their approval number ot punch into the computer for it to work. The guy was really really nice and understood everything and didn't get mad. We ended up cracking jokes and stuff. He then remembered that he also had to get a camera. So, 20 minutes later the guy comes back to my register and wee try the card again, this time for $855.35. The card doesnt' work... again! I had to call the number again and this time it took 37 minutes to get it worked out. Apparently there was some "human error" on the other end (according to the person on the phone) and that it would work this time. They were right and it did work. The guy was still really nice about it and kept thanking me for being pacient while I thanked him for not freaking out. The weird thing was that he had used the card about a half hour before coming to Best Buy and had spent $50 and he had had no problem... but the guy used to work in Loss Prevention so he knows what the people on the phone were doing and he said they were doing their jubs well. OK.. End of rant. blaugh Oh! I wanna tell my cash register horror story! Ooh! Ooh MEEEE! This happened a few weeks ago. There was a huge line of customers and so we had all four registers open. My managers, Heidi on Reg. 1 and Matt P. on Reg. 2... Me on Reg 3. and my co-worker Matt G. on Reg. 4. Well this woman goes to pay with a credit card at my register. The screen reads "Accepted. Wait Responce." So we wait... And wait... And wait... And after thirty minutes of waiting, we start having casual conversation. Finally, Matt G. has a customer paying with a credit card... He swipes it... "Accepted. Wait Responce." Then... *click click click* My register is bumped through to finish the transaction. And this continued all day... Each customer paying with the credit card would bump the next. And at the end of the day it became a humerous joke about all four of us 'bumping' each other. Thankfully the problem was resolved.

I had the WEIRDEST dream about Gino last night... 0.o
Gaia had developed a new game where cats were trying to kidnap Gino and take him to Durem and you had to click on the cats to stop them from doing so... But one time I accidentally clicked Gino instead and he appeared in my computer room. But he was Human... 0.o I was so excited and giddy... He had the same hair, yet he looked like our Sweedish foreign exchange student Jon... And he was really tall. The first thing I did was change his hair and then I showed him around town and told him he could never go back to Gaia. He said he didn't want to because the real world was so much fun... And so he stayed here and lived and stuff and he kissed me and... *sigh* What a dream... redface
