After commenting to Junko, the lightning dragon had leapt into the air again, making one final circuit of the battlefield to try and gather up the rest of the Halloween students. Then Aksaja returned to the rock pile and eyed a medium-sized boulder before attempting to pick it up and add to the pile. He was still one of the least injured people here, so it made sense to protect the others.
He put that rock in place with a low grunt, then noticed several students in their natural forms helping out. Oh . . . s**t, why hadn't he thought of that. Shaking his head slightly, Aksaja concentrated for a few minutes, shifting into his full dragon form. Like this, he could definitely move larger rocks. And likely fight better as well, if it came to that.

Sammy stood her ground still, for a moment she wasn't sure what was happening, she glanced back at the others working on the small rubble walls to defend them. She could only shrug to the others wondering what would happen next.
"Nice walls guys." she said with a raspy voice before looking back to Red for her answer.

Cady was MOVING!This was surprising because it wasn't of her own voilition. She left a trail of claw marks in the dirt as Christof dragged her, hardly even getting the chance to apologize to the boil she'd accidentally stoned. When she actually got the chance to turn around at look at the pachwork boil she was kind of mesmerized. It was AMAZING how the teal stood out against the different skintones... Never not leering. It was purely academic, ok? 8|

Gale cast a weary glance towards Davey, his expression flickering slightly. "I was dead, wasn't I?" he asked him quietly, his head turned so that Tika would not see what he was saying. "I know what happened to me; it wasn't pleasant."
But then Tikaanis was stirring, and Gale glanced back down at her, reaching to help her sit up. She looked...well, just as he felt, and Gale nodded.
"Fire," he repeated, his expression turning back into a vague one, unreadable and stoic. "It's all right."
His eyes met hers. "We're even, now."
Pulling the girl to her feet, Gale stood with the pair of them and looked around, searching for the rest of their group. He had not seen what had happened to any of them; Bix, Before, or Ariane, but now he felt dread settle into his stomach like a hard weight.
<< I'm sure they're fine. Don't worry. >>
"I'm not," Gale snapped, a little too sharply. His cheeks reddened, and he abruptly shut his mouth, lips pressed together in a thin line. With a glance at the others, he gave a small sigh and then turned away.
"Come on," he said. "Let's go find the others."

Calder rubbed his bottom, knowing that it was probably bruised countless times over and was already starting to feel sore. That's what hunter weapons and rocks did to a tender area. Frowning, he noticed Christof motion to him and deciding that he was doing little good with one rock at a time, and already feeling tired with just one, he turned and headed over.
Sitting down however, was difficult, and he hissed a bit as he sat down, and then placed his tail in his lap. Yeah. He was going to sit. Sitting was nice. right here next to Barth and his buddy Christof nearby. Jack, he was tired. Couldn't they just call Time-Out for a few ours and take a nap?

Johan watched as his failure at wall-building resulted in an onslaught of pebbles. Well, it was effective? He did his best to ignore the giggles coming from the direction of the ghouls. Frankly, he was too battered and bruised to feel much more than the dull ache of his burns.
When Amrita called him over, he went dutifully, holding up his arms to shield himself from the spray.
"Danke." he replied, watching as Christof grabbed the manticore by her tail and manhandled her behind the wall as well.

Xiu couldn't remember ever seeing the noise boil so fragile, granted that this wasn't the type of situation that they usually found themselves in. At his comment, she glanced at him from the corner of her eye, her brows pulling together in concern. "It...it's looking bad." She admitted, allowing her gaze to sweep the area again. After a moment of pause, she spoke again, hoping that her voice held a slightly more confident note. "But everyone is working hard together. See there?"
She gave her head a little jerk in G's direction, watching as he picked up two boulders that the little baku couldn't even imagine lifting. Mitsu was helping too, though Xiu wasn't sure whether she or Vaith could pitch it with building the barricade. With one badly injured arm each...
Xiu was starting to look a little choked up when they got closer to the group, particularly Remi and Amrita. She looked between one and the other, and then raised her arm (despite the fact she was still hanging onto Vaith with that same arm) to swipe at her eyes. As they stopped in front of them, her grip on Vaith's hand may have tightened for a second before she took a deep breath.
"I'm happy to see you guys are safe." She smiled, looking between Remi and Amrita. "Is there...is there anything I can do? I...I don't think I can lift anything, but..."
But she could try. So long as it wasn't too big, she would be able to carry it with one arm...right? She turned and looked up at Vaith, her ears drooping slightly. "You...you should go rest behind the barricade that's being built. You're hurt." Her eyes flickered towards his burnt arm, and then back to his face. She was definitely being a hypocrite right now, and the pain in her shoulder reminded her of that fact.

Being reminded of the fact that they were a tight knit group gave Tika a lot of peace of mind. She gave Davey a nod of approval before being helped up by Gale. There was no time wasted to dust her self off after such a dust bath. That monsters attack was beyond what it seemed most were prepared for. By the looks of it, hunters and halloweeners alike had all gotten a good licking from the flame attack. She was grateful for her life right now. Where ever that dark place was she never wanted to revisit. A shiver ran down her back. Atti was still being quiet but there was no complaint from Tika over that fact. "No it wasn't pleasant at all. Lets try to have that not happen again." Her tone was matter of fact but she really meant every word. It sounded as if Gale had a similar experience to hers. Similar at least in the fact that 'death' had been anything but pleasant. "Even," Tika gave him a nod in agreement. Not that Tika was about to hold it over Gales head before. Tika knew it felt good to not feel in debt though. Right now her biggest focus was whether or not her team mates were alright. Davey's words really did help ease her mind quite a bit over the matter though. "Lead the way Gale ~" Tika folded her arms behind her head. ALCIE DIED. exiting to domain of couch.
What was Red talking about? What was going on? The water demoness didn't even know what to think.
Alcyone didn't even see it coming until it hit her. It was devastating and even though it burned for only a second, she realized that she was going to die. Fire and water did not mix and then she realized she was gone.

It was done. The large skeletal jaws closed, ending the stream of gentle fire that it had directed at itself. The thick black smoke that had poured from her wounds was gone, replaced by a thick mist that crept slowly into the area. Slowly, she pulled one leg out from under her, watching it intently. One claw was wiggled. Then another. And another. Down one backpaw then down the other before the creature grasped her foot and moved it, positioning the massive paw flat on the ground. She moved her other paw under her and flexed her wings, straining to stand. Nothing. One hand reached out, talons flexing to grasp hold of the canyon wall. Slowly and stiffly Red rose onto her hind legs, wobbling dangerously before she grasped the canyon wall again. Her desperate snatch at the wall caused more chunks of rock to fall and smash below. Thankfully there were no students nearby her now; they were all gone. Or so she thought. King Inversitle
"WE ARRRRRRRRRE HALLOOOOOOOOOOOWEEEN!"If she had a heart it would have frozen, leaping into her throat in fear. Not for her, for them. The attack did not work. She could see them now; both sides had grouped up with their respective factions. Both were tending to the wounded. She couldn't tear her eyes away from them. That was what they had done. Their plan had failed. Failed. She was not alone in her despair; her former weapon seemed just as aghast, just as stunned as she was. King Inversitle "WE ARRRRRRRRE HALLOOOOOOWEEEEEEEEEN! LONG LIVE JACK FOR WE ARE HALLOWEEEEEEEEEEN!" She wanted to cry. She wanted to sob with despair and weep. But she couldn't; she was too far beyond tears. Tears were not meant for the lifeless, not meant for those part weapon. The power still burned within her. The Fear that she had stolen with that last attack. Part of that power was used to heal herself, yes. But was it right? <> <> <> <> <> Silence. There were no more words left to exchange between them. But those would not be her last words. Miliardo Kason "Is this it then!? You have what you wanted now don't you? You wanted him from the start to save us at least, or revenge, it doesn't matter! Take him, do what you want and let us leave ON OUR OWN."
Red's gaze turned towards Sammy as the ghoul began to shout. Then, Red began to laugh."Do you really think," she began as she chuckled. Her voice held the dual-tone edge to it, but it was quieter. Calmer. They had come to terms with themselves. "That this is how it was meant to be? No; you presume too much. You fail to understand: YOU ARE HALLOWEEN. YOU CANNOT DIE.. You are foolish and assume too much. You do not know how to stop, to think. You are... too much as I was. And see where it got me." Red fell silent, raising her disappointed gaze up to focus on the Hunters. Her tone steeled, glyphs growing brighter as she began to focus. "CAELIUS," she boomed, "KNOW THIS: YOU MAY HAVE HAD A VICTORY OVER ME, BUT YOU CANNOT WIN. YOU CANNOT HOPE TO DEFEAT HALLOWEEN.
HALLOWEEN.
CAN.
NOT.
DIE."The mist had grown thicker as Red spoke. One hand was still clenched on the canyon wall for support as her glyphs began to wink out one by one. With only her eyes glowing, Red turned to face her target. The students had no warning, no time to duck or flee as Red breathed fire one last time at them. But the fire did not burn. The fire swept over their defenses, burning brightly and blinding them. When their eyes cleared, they would find themselves surrounded by a thick barrier made of ice, covered in protective spikes. Every Halloween student still on the field was within it; the Hunters could not reach them. Should they look to her, they would find that Red was still standing. All of the color in her immediate vicinity was gone; the area surrounding her was trapped in greyscale. The features were washed out, disoriented. Red had used the last dregs of her Fear and Insanity to protect the students. The fire that burned brightly within her was extinguished, gone. Her entire body was as still as stone, her left hand fusing into the rock she had clung to in order to stand. That was all that remained of the former werewolf. She didn't even say goodbye.

Pain.
There was just agony.
Pain. Agony. Hatred. Betrayal. And most of all, death. Black, ugly, burning, death.
There might have been shouting, screaming, a roar, and then nothing, silence. But in Caelius's mind: everything had already gone silent.
Vile, empty, cold death.
Then the feeling began to burn again, he twitched, felt something move, and felt something heave underneath him. There was a broken body - there was no way it could have been himself - and it was ugly, and it heaved, and didn't move. It was weak, and it was pathetic, and it wheezed and coughed and spilt blood - salty, bitter - everywhere.
And it stood up, and walked one step, a second-
- a third step -
- there was something in front of the heaving body. It hissed, it crackled, and it smoked. It was ugly as well.
'Master-'
And then the body laughed. Blood trickled down its throat, it tensed its broken body, breathed in one more gasp of air, and began to laugh and wheeze horrendously. Something hummed in his hands, it was saying something -
'Master-'
- And in the body's broken hands the something - a weapon - arced, a flash of blue.
And the mess of Fear, of Insanity, of pure agony, hatred, vile repulsion, of something that should not have existed, of something that something so repulsive - the skeleton that was Red - burst into a thousand charred black pieces. Again and again the body - himself -Caelius's arm went up, the weapon arced down, and it tore into Red's still, petrified body. There was no blood other than his own as he bared his face in silent laughter. Ashes flew into the air, tearing around him like a small maelstrom.
Beautiful, unpredictable, wild death.
Only the skull remained, the scythe went up again - but it never came down. The Death Hunter's weapon flickered, and disappeared as he collapsed into the pile of ashes.
It was over.
The Finale HUNTERS RETREAT: - Now that Red is defeated the Fear fluctuation is over. The pendants are beginning to glow now, and call the Hunters back - they have been trying to call since the beginning of the battle. - It is time to go homeRed's Last Will:- Red still wanted to protect the students one last time. After the last of the Hunter energies have been detected to disappear, the barrier around the students will finally lift. Perhaps a few last minute words still need to be said for those who remain. (You can still talk in the barrier as the Hunters leave as well) Quote: SO YOU WANT A TROPHY?Red's skull is solid stone. It's not going to be easy to grab a piece. And given that the skull belonged to a 30-foot tall behemoth, it's impossible to move. The skull is large enough that Red could have easily eaten someone in one bite. That's how big we're talking about here. If you have your heart set on collecting a piece, it looks like you'll need to break a piece off. To do so: Quote: You have your choice of skull, horn, or back plate. The only difference is in the color: Horns: Black Skull: Blackish-Grey (not quite black, but light enough to not really be grey either) Back plate: Whiteish-grey. Not pure white, but certainly lighter than the skull. You must attack it. And hit it three times in a row. If you miss, it means you hit it too hard and turned it into ash. Upon missing, the piece you were trying to get has broken off; you must try again from the start. You have three chances. After that, please cease and let your teacher rest in peace. HUNTERS: It will be assumed that you grabbed a piece if you wish; no need to roll so that the Halloweeners can start once you guys clear out. heart

Night watched as the events unfolded and yet, he couldn't bear to watch Red. Her body, she turned grey, Ice barrier. It was sad, so sad to watch the teacher. And the final blow came when Caelius broke the body of red, he watched her crumble and he gasped out a breath. She had sacrificed herself for them, for her students. Though Nightengale had never had the honor to know Red and her classes, he would forever remember this. His body ragged, burnt and torn up. He did what he could do. "Tybalt!" He shouted out, looking around for his friend, " Simone!" He cried out. A few tears trickled out as he looked for his ghoulfriend. He needed her, the grief of losing someone with such a will... Humans...He spat at the thought of them as he looked at the barrier separating the two. ******** humans. Next time he would meet with them, he would be stronger. He'd show them just what true fear Halloween caused. "Halloween forever." He clenched his fist and continued his search for Simone. "Red is forever."

HP: 30 Julian's eyes moved from Sin to Alcie... The bird demon leapt up and towards the water demoness as she was engulfed in the flames from Red's attack. He reached out to her, he could help, he could put them out.
His hands grasped empty air. Eyes wide, the harbinger sunk to his knees.
"A-Alcie..." They were supposed to protect one another, weren't they? He was supposed to get the ghouls back safe and sound. She'd gotten eaten by a fish. And now... His body crumpled forward, supporting himself on his hands and knees as he railed against it all, repeating No over and over again.
His head shot up as the creature, what his classmates called Red, yelled out. And the fire came again. He needed to get up, needed to help Sin, needed to- But he didn't have time, the light blinded him, was this it? When he could see again, there was a wall of ice... protecting them. It, it really had been Red. And when he saw what had become of her, what that abomination was doing to what was left, he wanted to claw those pretend-reapers' eyes out. It wasn't fair! None of this was fair! What they were doing, what they had done, they needed to pay, they needed to die!
But he could do nothing. He just stayed there, on his hands and knees, feeling utterly helpless.

"You are foolish and assume too much. You do not know how to stop, to think. You are... too much as I was. And see where it got me."
The words struck her harder then any attack had during the chaos of the whole event. They could not die, they could have left and come back again just as easily as they always had. This however was different, Red was dying in a way none of them had before. She didn't vanish in a puff of FEAR, something worse was happening.
The colors shifted, the world turned grey around Red and Sammy started to move forward her mouth moving in a series of no's suddenly the world was ice, barriers surrounded them. Her hands met only ice as she started to hammer against it.
"NO! NO IT'S NOT FAIR! NO!" Her fists continued to bounce harmlessly against the ice. She watched as Caelius attacked the remains, chunks of Red where tossed about like a childs play toy. Scattered and forgotten as he continued to hack away. All the while Sammy pounded against the barrier watching as hunters simply vanished away.
"This isn't... it wasn't supposed to end like this..."

"Red..." Shehk grew still as the madness seemed to leave the once werewolf, as she called out in a final triumphant cry of victory over the hunters. Halloween would not die. Yes, Halloween would not die!
The pricolici drew herself back to the group that had been assembling the protective wall, just in time for the flames to suddenly wash over them again. Oh ********, it was happening again. Shehk threw her arms up over her body to try and shield herself again, but....it didn't burn. No, for once it didn't burn, but it blinded. Her eyes throbbed and.. they hurt from the bright lights. For a few moments, she was blind, reaching out with one hand in a blind stupor only to touch cold. The sensation caused her to withdraw her hand nearly immediately, making a face.
Then she reached out for it again, squinting through the ice-y barrier than had been created for them in a sort of watery eyed blur. "Red? Red! What's going on?" she called out, but..no...the form had stilled... it had stopped moving. Shehk froze, slowly dropping to her knees as she watched the scene that played out between the petrified colossus and the hunter. She was transfixed by it all. It was....
Part of her felt as though she had failed. If only there had been enough time to find a way to save her... it wasn't fair. The training had been meant to keep them safe from the hunters, but it had accomplished so much more;
Shehk had decided in that moment that she needed to kill them all. Them all.
Now there was nothing left of their hero..nothing but stone and ash. It wasn't fair. The feeling of hatred she'd started nursing earlier started to well up again. However, this time it wasn't for her companions. No, she studied that face of silence maniacal laughter. He enjoyed his victory. It wasn't a fair victory. It wasn't a victory. Shehk slammed the side of her fist against the barrier futilely a couple of times, the tears returning to her eyes as it seemed that there was nothing left they could do.
"It's over..." she whispered, barely audible at all, and then a final thought to herself, and perhaps to Red as though she could still hear the Pricolici's thoughts even now.
I will step up to the plate you have left. I will cast a red shadow.
