Kat had trouble focusing her eyes, she had an excrusiating headache where she had been shot. 'I was shot!' She thought to herself and started trying to figure out if she was dead. She could only see blurs but she was sure she had heard Curtis's voice.
"...am I...dead..." She moved her head slightly and tried to focus on the blurs that were near her. Her lack of sight and inability to move were really starting to scare her.

Jeff didn't care what brittany saying. He broke away from Yakov and turned to face Brittany, his voice was a little louder than he had intended.
"I'm GAY, he's GAY! We are GAY together!"

"Katra...Katra..."
Yes, she had asked a question, but Curtis couldn't answer her. All he could say was her name as hot tears were finally released down his face. He reverted to his human form as he knelt beside her and gathered her up in his arms. Curtis noticed the blood on her brow where a bullet hole should have been, but there was nothing other than a red-stained silver bullet on the ground nearby. He held her tight.

Brittany did not take kindly to being yelled at. "WHAT!?" She imediately turned an attack on Yakov. "WHAT IS HE TALKING ABOUT? YOU AND I WERE TOGETHER FOR THREE YEARS! WAS THAT ALL JUST A GIANT LIE?" Suddnely she understood. "Oh My God. I...I was a cover girlfriend. I...that was all I was to you...just a cover...you never really." She started to cry.

"Damnit Brittany. I wasn't gay when I was dating you. And I probably would have stayed straight and with you had you not run of with someone who doesn't even count as a someone because he's not human. As it is, I met Jeff and I love him, so you can just back off." He wrapped his arm around Jeff and started to leave.

"No, damnit Brittany. Will just get a clue and Leave Us Alone?" He held Jeff a little tighter than necessary as they headed back to the car.

Jeff had trouble breathing because Yakov was holding hom so tight. Jeff didn't turn back to Brittany and just kept walking out of the mall and out to his car. Once he was nearing the car he dislodged himself from Yakovs grip.
"Are you doing ok? Sorry about...yelling..."

She felt herself being held by a very warm person, it was Curtis. She couldn't see him but she felt his tears fall onto her own face. She was affraid she dead but, how could she be dead if Curtis had heard her speak.
"I...I was...shot...I'm...dead..." She tried moving but she could only shiver. Her body was so cold.

"No... no you're not..." Curtis found the breath to say as he stroked her hair. "You're not." He repeated this not only to assure, but to assure himself as well.

When it came to getting good grades or making sure that the other students stayed alive, Aurora had to go with the second option. She drifted in and out of sleep, her arms and legs literally chained to corner poles of her bunk bed. Granted, the only one that would really hold was probably her dad's handcuffs... the aluminum chains weren't going to do much if she did transform... but it was the thought that counted really.
Then the most amazing thing happened. For the first time since she moved in Aurora saw her roomie--and she wasn't sleeping. Seeing her awake and in full clothing however clearly explained why the room seemed to smell sour so quickly after all her cleaning...
"Hey," called the bleach blonde goddess with waaay too little clothing for the northern climate. "Kinky! I didn't know you had a boyfriend... or girlfriend." She flashed a blinding smile between rose-red lips and grabbed a soda from the fridge. "When you two break up can I have their number?" She laughed a hollow laugh, and walked back out of the room.
Aurora was suddenly very hopeful that she would never see her roomie again.

Kat didn't beleive him. Her body was colder than it should have been and she then realized she wasn't breathing. She started freaking out, her mobility was starting to return just slightly and she tried moving. Her body shook and her eyes filled with tears.
"But...I'm dead..."

Curtis didn't understand it, either. Katra was cold and, as far as he could tell, there was no breath circulating through her. But... how? Surely the injection couldn't have gone so far as to save her from a bullet through the head. But... perhaps it could.
"Perhaps... you were..." he agreed. "But... you are not now."

With a rattling gasp her lungs filled with air for the first time in the last ten minutes. She started coughing and turned her head away from Curtis, she didn't want to cough on his face. She coughed blood onto the ground. Her body kept shaking and she kept coughing for a long time. She stared at her blood and she started to feel weird. The smell from the blood nearby made her hungry.
She quickly turned her head in the direction of the blood, there was Luka and a bloody body on hte ground, it was Connor.
"...What...did you ...do...?" She asked Curtis and looked up into his face. It was hard to think when her stomach was so hungry.

"I said no to her..." He looked up at Jeff and smiled. "And don't be sorry. That kiss pretty much took care of anything you may have done wrong. You don't suppose we could attempt to solve any and all future problems that way do you?"

He wasn't answering. "Damnit Connor. There's only one way I save you and I really don't think you're going to like it." When he still didn't answer, she let out another damnit and transformed. "I just know at least one of us is going to regret this." She let out a roar as her fangs extended. She'd been told about the rush that floods the body as the essence of change separated from the blood, but she had never experienced it before. She could very easily see how people got addicted to this. She clamped down on Connor's neck, preying that it wasn't too late...that he could still change and heal.

"I... I thought he'd killed you," Curtis answered, helping Katra steady herself. "I was furious. I..." he sighed. "I had to... do something."

There was a steady, loud throbbing coursing through his body. Pain both came and subsided with each pulse as his eyes opened. It was then that he made the connection between this throb and his heartbeat, and it was also then that burning agony tore into his neck. Connor groaned and tried to move, but his body would not respond.

"...Luka...she's..." Kat tried explain to Curtis what she saw her do. She was turning him, did Curtis injure him enough that he was going to die without the healing power of a were. Her hunger pangs were getting stronger.

Luka heard Connor groan and she released him. "Connor?" Again, it was the only thing she could think to say.

Yakov slid into the car and then swung over into Jeff's lap. "You're right. There does seem to be plenty of room." He kissed Jeff. "I just thought maybe we should celebrate our successful escape."

"Luka...?" Curtis turned his head back to the female wolf and the human. She was biting his neck, and since she obviously did not want him dead, she had to be turning him. He snarled quietly, but continued holding Katra.

"Luka..." he gasped out. "What..." The pain grew more intense quite suddenly and he cried out and writhed with the agony.

Jeff smiled and kissed Yakov back. "yes, lets, but...maybe...we could go somewhere more privat instead of the busy mall parking lot..." He raised his eyebrow.
