Well, multiplayer feels like... multiplayer Castlevania, in bite-sized chunks.
Single-player has a sort of "time attack" feel to it. Technically it's the exact same game (go through the levels, collect items, and finish within thirty minutes) both ways, but playing single-player does kind of feel stilted in that you beat the boss and you're done, compared to earning a new skill or new area.
I guess it's what you make of it. I have no problem running the same area over and over for items, souls, and what have you. Hell, it's what I did in most of those game originally, so it doesn't feel horribly different for me.
Kinda pissed that I can't for the life of me find more than 4 glyphs for Shanoa though. Still, when that really just boils down to "spam seeker Lightning on everything," I can't be too mad.
(Though I think I'm just doing something wrong.)
