Darcy Control-Alt-Delete Wheee! I shall rant now. 3nodding
One of my best friends is banned from everything, including talking to one of my other friends. Why? Because the other friend is a bad influence. Why? Because she wears black clothing, has a boyfriend who looks like a 'biker' and because she 'made' her look at porn on the net. Not literally, but according to her parents, the other friend encoraged her to look at it. Oh, and she also made her want to dye her hair black. Now she is banned from the internet, tv, music, anime and manga (because it turns people into 'witches, satanists, and gay'), and etc. Now tell me, does this make any sense to you?
Okay, I'm done now. n.n
I hate over-protective parrents. scream

I know plenty of people who were sheltered and told they absolutely couldn't drink (as a for-instance) and as soon as they got the opportunity they got smashed as often as possible. My parents have always told me I could try alchohol any time I wanted, and therefore, I've never felt a strong need to get drunk. I never have, in fact. I probably will, someday, but I doubt it'll be something I do every weekend (like some I could name......)

Zetan I wish parents would understand that trying to shelter children only makes them more curious about the things they're being sheltered for, and therefore when they finally do get out into the world, they'll be much more extreme with their experimentation. I know plenty of people who were sheltered and told they absolutely couldn't drink (as a for-instance) and as soon as they got the opportunity they got smashed as often as possible. My parents have always told me I could try alchohol any time I wanted, and therefore, I've never felt a strong need to get drunk. I never have, in fact. I probably will, someday, but I doubt it'll be something I do every weekend (like some I could name......)
My parents told me out-right that they were big drinkers and that alcoholism runs strongly in both sides of my family from the get-go. They stopped drinking when my mom found out that she was pregnant. I tend to be a people pleaser, and I know I will please them if I don't start drinking before I'm 21. Plus, I'd rather spend the money on manga... ninja
