"Yeah, good thing." Jesss flipped through the pieces of literature for a few minutes, forgetting to eat. After years of practically starving herself, she tended to forget when she was actually hungry.

Peter, who decided it was probably best and least annoying of him to be quiet, shuffled around (silently) through his bag, and pulled out some homework. He sank down on his bed, and began to do it.
Ray felt himself a lucky man. This was a first. He always considered himself thankful, of course, but as he gazed at Desiree reverently, he felt like he was better off than...well, everyone.

Jess read through a few pamphlets, wrinkling her nose every now and then. "Ok, I'm so not changing diapers."
Desiree had a small smile on her face as she looked back at Ray, running her fingers lightly through his hair. His gaze made her feel a strange sense of contentment, one that she hadn't realy encountered before. She wanted to say something, but she couldn't really find the words to express her feelings at the moment.

Peter grinned. "We'll have Mum do that," he proffered. "Bet she'll enjoy it."
Ray cracked a smile. "Hi," he murmered, still staring and taking in all of Desiree.

"Well she has the experience." Jess put down the manuals and looked down at her stomach. "I guess I really do need to put on a little weight. Poor thing is barely visible and I'm already halfway along..." She sighed. "Hand me a sandwich?"
"Hi..." Desiree's voice was a light whisper. She felt her cheeks heat a litte bit as she leaned in to give him a light kiss. The way he was looking at her was different than usual, he looked almost like a lovesick puppy just lying there.

Peter smiled at her warmly, and handed her a sandwich as happily as one possibly can hand a sandwich.
"I think I missed the beginning of History of Magic," said Ray, blinking a few times and attempting to return to his normal self. "There's no sense in going late, I suppose."

"Thanks love." Jess picked up her romantic trashy novel again and started eating while she read. "What are you working on?"
"No, not really." Desiree laced her fingers in with his and rested her head against his shoulder. "Professor Binns never takes attendance anyway."

"Just potions. Your area of expertise," he said, nodding at her.
"No, he doesn't." Ray took his free arm and wound it around Desiree. "Doesn't really do anything but lecture."

"You need help?" Jess put down her book and tried to crane her neck over and look at the book. If there was one subject that she didn't need to whore herself out to get high marks in, it was Potions.
Desiree nodded. "You would just confuse him by appearing halfway through class. Might make him think you're interested enough in it to actually show up."

Peter shook his head. "Not right now. You just relax and let the baby eat. If I need help, I'll ask, though."
"Right. Yeah. I don't want to be misleading," explained Ray, a smile spreading across his face.

"Alright." Jess leaned back in the pillows and started reading again as she ate through her sandwich, absentmindedly asking for another not too much later.
"Mhmmm, he might die again if he learned that someone actually cared." Desiree smiled and kissed him for a few moments, not really wanting to go to class ever again. Luckily there were no more classes of the day, as it was getting rather late.

"You're eating," observed Peter, handing Jess another sandwich. "Pomrey'll be pleased. I'm pleased," he added, wondering if it would make the slightest difference.

"Hmmm?" Jess looked down at her half eaten sandwich. "Oh...I suppose I am." She smiled. "Glad to be of service." She held it out to him. "You want some? Not even the two of us could finish all these by ourselves."

Peter took a sandwich. "Sure." He bit into it tentatively and swallowed. "It's good. The house elves do have something going for them."

"Not as good as the ones mine make, but they do a decent job." Of course...Jess's family had almost as many house elves as Hogwarts, and they were always told exactly what to make and how. Jess finished up her second sandwich and rubbed her stomach as she read, smiling a little. "Though you might like to know that she's moving again."
