The Snorunt couldn't he'lp himself; he fell on his back, giggling as he rolled around in the snow. Humans were so funny! So afraid of a little ice and snow! Silly, silly humans. Still, at least he could make a fun game of it!. He flipped himself back onto his legs and leapt up onto the rock. He took a deep breathe, and began to bawl loudly. Or so it seemed... it was actually a Fake Tears attack!
Perhpas she couldn't understand what the Carbink was saying, but she could read the room. This Carbink... was not stable. Alice was happy she'd released her Pokemon, because... well, hopefully, he could deal with the situation. "Vorpal? Do you want to handle this?" she asked her oldest Pokemon softly.
Cautiously, the Honedge lowered himself off Alice's arm. He placed himself firmly between his trainer and the bizarre Carbink-- if this odd, leering creature wanted to attack her, he'd have to go through Vorpal. >There's some iron right here, sparkles,< he growled.
[Attack roll = 1! Critical Failure!! -1 to Heatmor's attack rolls!!!]
Otis tensed up his legs as the Heatmor weighed his options. When he realized the attack was coming, he launched himself. He passed under the initial jet of flame, dodging it entirely and likely leaving the Heatmor without his location. The frog leapt again, going for a Pound uppercut!
(You forgot to quote. Lucky I found it. :3c I don't mean that in any sarcastic way either, or that. Text is weird...
Also, please keep those one's a comin'! But, don't pass em to me. I dun want them.)

The Heatmor had stumbled with his first attack, rendering it useless. The fire pokemon sighed. He then began to try and move fast enough to avoid the Froakie's oncoming blow!
As Alexander started running, it would seem he would startle a Ledyba that had been sleeping. With an angry buzz, it took off into the air and flew away. Luckily, he was free to continue onward.
The Corsola had missed the attack! It had been only by an inch but a miss was still a miss. The pokemon went on the defensive, ready to prepare for the oncoming blow~

Kiani ran, but she couldn't keep ahead of the boulder. The best she could do was shelter Lily's body as the boulder knocked her down and went over her. She wasn't protected, but with her arms and body cradling the litleo, at least Lily was ok. However, the boulder knocked the wind out of her and she stayed prone on her stomach for a while, trying to breath again. Finally, she got up and let Lily out of her arms. Stumbling, she continued on her way.
[Defense roll greater than Attack roll! Defense wins!]
Otis, glanced back as he whizzed past the Heatmor. Considering the size of the pokémon's head, Otis probably shouldn't have aimed at it. He would correct it when he got the chance.
Landing, he readied up for the Heatmor's response.
Rhys was starting to slowly edge around the area the two were fighting in, pokéball in hand, recently retrieved from his bag. He hadn't pressed the button yet, and his left hand was ready to snatch Otis' ball in case he had to for some reason.
(No worries!! :3c Oh, when applying the critical failure or success penalty/bonus, is it as the dice are rolled or only when damage is applied? Like, if you were to roll 1 above me, but with the penalty, we tied, would it still count as the the defense winning since the attack roll is no longer greater, or does it still pass through as greater and then the damage is reduced? What's the capture requirement for full health? I take it it's high, obviously.)

Now! Peyton took a step forwards threw the stinking Pokeball at that blasted Corsola. This thing would pay for being such a nuisance to him and it's payment would be becoming his first Pokemon catch! An Area Guardian could hopefully talk some sense into the other Pokemon around here- well probably not but it was worth a try. Tekken watched as the red and white orb flew over his head and race towards the Blue Avenger.

As Tao made his way through the cave, a Cubone would appear to block the path. "Stupid young'ns like you. Barging into the cave. No manners. Causing problems for us folk that live 'ere. You should just go back home, you ain't welcome 'ere.<" He placed his bone on the ground in a gruff manner making it obvious. Tao could either fight or go back the way he had came!
The challenge was declared, but what Hiro was expecting was to have a straight fight as Despair actually started to get piss at being laughed at.
No one ...laughs at her and lives, and she had every plan of making the pokemon as dead as a stump of wood, except, the pokemon in front of her seemed to be having mood swings. One moment it was laughing and the next the Snorunt as crying.
Both pokemon and trainer looked at each other confused ....as Despair would shake her limbs, and decided that this wasn't much of a fight worth having.
(I feel like a bully)
"Use curse."
Hiro of course couldn't understand as she looks at him in shock.
"We are going to break that pokemon's crying streak with good old fashion cursing."
Despair horror grew.
(I am a lady)
"Despair uses curse."
(I don't wanna)
"IF you don't follow commands I am dunking you in the nearest watery place and looking at all this snow ...I am more likely to find it then not."
Though the cursing wasn't directed at the Snorunt, she released a string of curses so rich and disgusting some of the snow next to her actually turned black and brown.
Tao jolted a bit when he herd the gruff noise. His eyes jittered about untill they landed on the cubone. He wasn't sure what it was trying to say. He eyed the pokemon as he tried to find sign of aggression. He realized the pokemon was blocking his path but he still wasn't clear on it's intentions. Well, he certainly wasn't going to head back but they were in no shape to fight. He sat down in somewhat pensive manner and waited to see what the cubone would do next.
