 Grant turned at the sound of the oldest Prince's voice. "Ahh yes. Will they return is the question. I feel these men had a specific task due to what they attacked. I think the better question is when. Today? Maybe. in a few days I think that is more viable. They will want us off guard. In my opinion we need to give aid to the survivors and ready our defenses." Grant walked over to the queen and bowed again. "What are your orders your majesty? Or should I be asking your capable son?" Grant said as he tilted his head slightly to face Ric.

 [ armor but silver and without the cap/hat] Niro smiled back at the young lady. "I'm alright. Thanks for offering." Niro looked up in the sky to check the time. Not much time left. Better hurry up. By now the other knights have caught up to him. "We checked out the parameter. There is no signs of our attackers and these are the ones who've survived." Niro nodded his head, "Good. Now how about the men who went into battle?" "Two guards when over there to gather them." "Right, good work. Lets head back to the castle for farther instructions." Niro went over to Kotoro and told him to lay down so that the girl could get back on him. "After you Miss. And I promised that we both won't fall off this time."

 Valrie smiled and nodded her head. "Okay." She relaxed as her fangs retracted. She looked at the knights as they caught up with them. She bowed her head and stayed quiet. She needed to keep herself relaxed, so she began to sing lightly. "Little angel I'm here for thee..." She looked at the knight as he went over to his horse. She soon came over and got on the horse. "May I know your name?" She asked.

She nodded to herself at the Captain's deduction of the situation and looked up when he spoke to her. Her wry smile returned. "By all means, ask Ric." She didn't particularly enjoy issuing military orders anyway, and Ric needed the extra experience.

[ armor but silver and without the cap/hat] He was thankful that she calm down enough to hide her fangs. Niro wasn't sure how the other would react to that. But that obstical was dealt with. He couldn't help admiring her voice as she sung. Though that was interrupted with a question. "You may. My name is Niro, and this big guy," He gave the horse a few pats on the back, "Is Kotoro. He may look intimidating, but he's just an over side pup." He hopped onto the horse like before and grab the reins. "Now will you tell me your name?"

"Yes Your highness. May I also seek your council in another, more private, matter when I am though here?" He asked before his eyes wandered over to Jewlet. Once getting his answer he turned to Ric. "Prince Ric. What shall you have me and my me do?" Grant said with a small bow.

It was not a question that the Prince was particularly comfortable answering, but still, with the enemy temporarily away, Ric felt his mind slightly more at ease then he had earlier, "For the time being on want constant guard at the city limits to warn of any new threat to the castle. Another guard shall be placed on the perimeter of the Kingdom to warn of any incoming reinforcements. As well, I am not certain I am comfortable with this sudden retreat. Have your men do a sweep of the castle. Detain anyone deemed suspicious within the castle or the surrounding city until we have the chance to verify their origins."

"That is a wise idea Prince. Though I can only set up perimeters at the city edge. Any further than that and you have to talk to the generals due to the fact that I am the castle guard." Grant said as respectfully as he could. "As it stands I will set up a team of guards t investigate all the people who came from the village that may be a threat. I will also send horses to the men that I sent to look for survivors and have them post lookouts."

"Good, and one last thing, make sure all news goes through me. I want to be kept up to date on this matter" The Prince spoke in a stern tone, gently brushing his fingertips across the large table before him as he moved.

Valrie smiled brightly and said. "Nice to meet you Niro." She turned to the horse. "Such a lovely horse. Kotoro, that is a nice name." She was in a much better mood then before. She seemed to almost glow because of her mood. "My name is Valrie." She answered his question. She then looked ahead at the castle still wondering if it would be safe for her to go there. Valrie started to sing again just to remove the harsh gloom that flowed through the air. "So hold on strong. We will make it through on thee wings of hope." She clasped her hands together and smiled as she sang.

Aiden and Leon glanced at each other with fear and worry in their eyes. Never before had they seen their Prince act thus, and the man before them lacked all of his usual composure. What Prince would ever be caught on his backside in the middle of a battlefield. Aiden approached the Prince and grasped his shoulders. Picking him up, he forced Dainne to stand again and shook him slightly, attempting to shake him out of his daze. "Sire, it is but a gem. Who are we to assume it comes from Merional? There could be many gems just as this!"
Dainne snapped out of his daze suddenly and glared at Leon. "Think you the Vadlionne family would choose a common gem as a family heirloom passed down generation to generation? No, it was chosen because there is none its like in all the Kingdoms! Its very existence is a closely guarded secret, for fear a greed-driven ruler may wage war on us just to obtain a rarity such as this. How then, I ask you, would this band of brigands not only know of it, but bear its likeness on their damnable battle standard?" His rage was expended as quickly as it had flared, and he seemed to slump within himself, withdrawing back into his thoughts and fears. he turned his back from the standard and look forlornly up at the sky, refusing to look upon the red field any longer.

She nodded sagely. "Yes, I suspect that would be most wise. I have certain matters to discuss with them also." She would not forget the display of insolence that she had witnessed so mush earlier in the day, if need be, she would put each and every member of that ghastly council on the chopping block. They did not put her kingdom's safety at risk just to pick a bone with the Captain of the Guard.

[Hey, I'm sorry to do this in such short notice. But everything here at my house is getting hectic. Plus I have all these concerns breathing down my neck. So....and I hate to do this....but I have to take a small hiatus away from the internet for a while. But the war can go on without me if you want. I give you all the option to close the rp, pause it, or go free-for-all on the story. This hiatus will last for about a week or two just to get things back on track. I won't completely leave until I hear from you guys. If I don't hear form you, I will assume that you want to pause or close the rp. Please post your answers here or pm me. I will stay on until tomorrow. But that's as long as I can.]
