True, but I have people to call, things to do. Plus I didn't feel like sleeping in today. Especially since it's so nice out.

Conversly, today is the first really sunny day in awhile, so far anyway.
Right, and I'm off. Time to get dressed and then call STU. Fun.

You know, you'd think that at a university, the administrative staff would be at their desk at some point during the day to answer calls. I've been calling the financial services desk for the past week, every day (except Canada day of course) trying to reach someone to get some questions answered. But no, not a single time has there been anything but a voicemail message. So, I emailed the people and complained, sort of. I also asked my questions at the same time, so it should be doubly effective. Go me.

I just went to my stables today to help out with the kiddie-camp today. I'd seriously consider calling that a job. It was so hard. When I got home, I was tired and dirty. PHYSICAL LABOUR. Hate it. Kill it.
Seriously though, running around with a pony next to me (I was nice enough not to hold onto the pony, it makes for a better ride than having someone holding the reins and leading your noble steed for you). A lot of running in an unbearable heat and a shitload of humidity. S'painful.

Well, I just got off work, at 8 here. It was a pretty uneventful day, in the long run. I did a little bit of a different job, working at the visitor information center, from 6-8. Not too many people realize that the museum is actually open during that time, so almost no one comes in. Which is just fine with me. I'd rather not have to deal with people without having training for the job I had to do. Not that it's a hard job or anything, unless you get a sweedish person asking you for something you don't know anything about stressed
EDIT: put the 'out' in 'without'

Yeah, it's ok. It can be pretty monotonous, at times, but it's not bad. The hardest part is trying to not destroy the fossils completely, which is easier to do than you might think. Luckily there's a solution known as vinac, which is not unlike liquid plastic that you can use to actually glue the fossils back together, as well as strenghten them once you've cleaned them off. Without a good supply of that, I'd probably have broken 4 different fossils. Tiny ones, but still fossils.

What kinds of fossils does your museum mostly collect?

Well, we're working on putting together a Psuarapod, I believe. I don't know if I mentioned it here before or not, but there's been some new things discovered, that I can't tell you about until they've been published.
