((LOL it's okay.))

Kakaru raised his eyebrow, after hearing the footsteps stop outside their door. Whether it was a friend of his, or trouble knocking on the door, he was curious. Without hesitation he opened the door, and was pleased to see it was somebody he was actually friendly with. "Hello Atra, it's a pleasure to see you," he said smoothly, as he slid the door wide open for her to come in. "Do have a seat, meet our new Head of Slytherin," he said, glancing back at the teacher.

"It's been dreadfully boring on the train, with nobody to talk to," he said with a small snicker, as he sat back in his seat. "How are you?"

Atra followed Kakaru into the compartment, assessing the new teacher as she did so. Shutting the door, she sat next to her fellow Slytherin and pulled her feet up onto the seat, hugging her legs to her chest.

"She looks rather young to be a teacher, much less the new Head. Either way, why is she with you, you're not usually one to chat up the teachers, and why was the door Imperturbed?" She asked, deciding to ignore the teacher for the time being and talk directly to Kakaru.

Atra blinked, realizing she'd just sounded rather rude, and added, "I'm fine, by the way. I'm guessing you're the same?"

Angel and Sahara allowed a few moments to pass them by, Angel having already read up to chapter seven of her book, Sahara practicing spells with her wand. It was not long before rain began falling.

"I was caught hexing someone," Kakaru said lamely. It didn't really address the second question, but he would explain more when the teacher wasn't present.

"I suppose I could say I'm fine... I had a fun time time saying hello to Angel and Tori, with my wand, that is. Otherwise, dreadfully bored, though I'm glad to see the skies finally darken," Kakaru said, motioning to the window. "The train ride seems to go by so slowly, even if this is our last train ride to Hogwarts."

Machi stood up.
"We'll be arriving shortly."
She removed the hex and walked out the door. Walking down the hall ways she tapped on the compartment doors.
"All students must be in full uniform. All students must be in their school robes, including first years!"
With a flick of her wrist her robes appeared around her body hugging her figure unlike most robes.
"Well then. Time for a boring school year..."

Atra nodded at Kakaru's statement. It still didn't explain why the door was Imperturbed, but she figured he'd tell her when and if he felt like it.

"So, it was you that caused the drama, then? A handful of our house is still in the compartment I was in, quivering out of fear of you," she smiled wickedly. "Its rather funny, actually. I think they're more scared of you than the Gryffindors and Muggleborns."

She paused and thought for a moment.

"It's our last year. Heh, seems like it wasn't too long ago that we were being sorted, eh? This year had better be eventful. If not, we'll just have to find some way to make it so. There's no way in hell we're not going to go out with a bang."

Sighing, Atra got up after the teacher had left.

"If she's right, I'd better go get ready, unless there's a reason for me to stay here."

A loud, sharp voice suddenly spoke outside along the corridor, making both girls jump.

"All students must be in full uniform. All students must be in their school robes, including first years!"

"Whoa!" gasped Angel, squinting at her watch. "It's time?"

"More importantly, who's she?" said Sahara, pointing to the girl who addressed the students on the train. "Can't be a first year, she looks too old to be one."

"New professor, maybe?" suggested Angel. "We're one short again. Anyway, we better dress up," she finished.

Angel pulled her school robes over her scarlet sweater and denim skirt as Sahara pulled hers over her cyan tank top and jeans.

"That was a quick trip, wasn't it?" said Sahara.

"And I haven't even discussed Quidditch tactics with James yet," sighed Angel.

Shrugging, Angel and Sahara picked up their pets and, along with the rest of Hogwarts, began to descend the train.

Kakaru grabbed her wrist to ensure she didn't leave. "She says she's here to recruit, for /him/... which means she really is recruiting, or she's from the Ministry to keep tabs on us so they can throw us into Azkaban the day we leave Hogwarts. I'm not sure which one to believe, but all I can say is that rumors of a Muggle and Mudblood loathing, powerful, man really does exist." His eyes were alight with excitement as he explained everything to Atra.

"Regardless of which position she really does hold, we need to keep a close eye on her. Until she proves which she really is, I'd assume she's from the Ministry... which may be bad news for every person in our House, assuming that they're true Slytherins at heart."

Machi felt the train slow down.
"We're coming up to Hogwarts so ever-"
She looked down at a first year who was apparently gawking at her. She narrowed her eyes.
"Buzz off kid."
She muttered the frightened boy ran off.

Atra's eyes flashed for a second, before returning to normal. Of course, she'd heard about him, the one fancying himself as 'The Dark Lord'. It was all her parents could talk about. Still, she didn't trust the teacher. Everyone was talking about the uprising. All in hushed whispers, of course, but it was still there.

"I...think she's with the Ministry. How on Earth could she get a job at Hogwarts and be on the Dark Side? You know how Dumbledore is, he hates Dark Magic. That aside, he is a powerful wizard, and I doubt this...teacher would be able to trick him. We need to be careful of the magic we use, just in case. I don't really fancy a vacation with the dementors."

She bit her lip, thinking hard.

"I'm guessing you haven't told anyone else about this?"
PostPosted: Thu Aug 30, 2007 2:56 pm

"Of course not. I don't want to tell the wrong person, someone who's capable of slipping up. If one person who knows this lets their guard down, it'd be an awkward situation for all of us. And I do think you have a good point, there's nobody who could get past Dumbledore, him being the strongest wizard in the world, except for perhaps /him/... this... Dark Lord," Kakaru said, slowly releasing his grip on her wrist.

"Though I can't believe he would do this to us, betray us like this," He murmured, shaking his head. "If he won't trust us, then I guess we can't trust anybody anymore. Dumbledore is notorious for putting trust in everybody, no matter what. If he can't trust us, then there's little chance anyone else can. Alas, the life of someone who has been sorted into the house of Slytherin."

"Hey," said Sahara, stopping and pressing an ear to a compartment door, "hey, Ange, check this out!"

Angel walked over to where Sahara stood, slightly annoyed. "Don't call me 'Ange' again," she muttered. "What is it?"

It soon became clear exactly what. Angel heard two voices, that of Asakawa and that of another Slytherin called Atra Arduro. She wouldn't have cared that two Slytherins were holed in together, but something Asakawa said somehow caught her attention.

"... I'm not sure which one to believe, but all I can say is that rumors of a Muggle and Mudblood loathing, powerul man really does exist..."

Something about Asakawa's voice suggested malicious excitement to Angel and Sahara, who looked at each other anxiously.

Angel fought hard to keep herself calm, but to no avail.

"That Asakawa is such a JERK!" she screamed as she punched Asakawa's compartment door, causing half the students there to jump and stare at her. She knew that the man Asakawa was talking about wasn't himself, but his complete Slytherin attitude towards it was more than enough to enrage her.

She couldn't care less. Fuming, she stormed down the corridor, Sahara striding along in her wake.

((Sorry for the disappearing act. School started up again, and I'm taking two AP classes and an Honors course, not to mention my Photo class. Plus, I started up my own RPG and that's been keeping me just as busy as school has. ^^; ))

Morgaine heard the woman calling for the change of clothes, and nodded silently to herself. They must be almost there. She stuck her head back into the compartment to check if Tori was okay, and after affirming that she was, Morgaine hurridly returned to where her trunk was.

She changed quickly, hoping that the twins hadn't gone anywhere. She wanted the whole story -she also wanted to murder Kakaru, but that was beside the point- and hoped she wouldn't have to wait until school had officially started to get it.

Once she was in her full witch's robes, she tore back down the hall, not caring about the stares she was getting from the people in the compartments she passed, and arrived back at the one Tori and her sister were in after no more than ten minutes had passed since she left. Opening the door, she let herself and sat opposite Tori, gazing at her with concern and rightous fury in her eyes. Very deliberately, with menace in her voice for the boy who had caused this, she asked, "What happened?"

"Well, you can never know with Dumbledore. Maybe he -" Atra was cut off by a loud bang on the compartment door. Jumping back, she instinctively drew her wand. No one entered the compartment, however, though she did catch a glimpse of an livid face before it left her view.

"Ah, damn. I think that was a Gryffindor." Atra rolled her eyes and grabbed Kakaru's arm, dragging him out of the compartment. She quickly set off in the direction the girl had run off in, fighting the flow of students moving in the opposite direction, towards the train doors. Evidently, they had arrived at Hogwarts. "Come on, we need to go find out if she heard anything. It'd be bad if she let out that we were talking about...what we were talking about."

Sighing, she muttered, "Nothing can ever just be nice and simple, can it?" Louder, she asked Kakaru, "Have you ever cast a Memory Charm?"
