That bottle of whiskey and the few pain killers Leinhart took sat him on the a** the following day. He awoke, like no other day, springing from bed as the first peak of dawn cracked through the spaces of his window, alerting him that daybreak has fallen. A slender hand would have ran itself over his half-sizzled face to find it burned no longer. His skin had returned back to it's normal self; cold, smoothe, and creamy. Heading for the door after grabbing the Apple sauce a nurse must of put on the window pane, he pulled the aluminum wrapper off, then started taking his sips. Exiting the building, he moved in the direction of the hotel. Maybe he'd spend tonight there. Who knew. He may just decide to go to the gym for a spar.

You Will Never Be A ManThree days. Three days it had been since Takamura had passed out in the middle of the ring after the fight. Next thing he knew he was waking up in a hospital bed, his side burning with the broken rib and sternum that had healed much faster than it should have. This was a gift from the mage that had sent him here.
"Fighting is dangerous, especially in the tournaments." the old man had said, his wrinkled eyes widening slightly to get a good look at the warrior that stood before him.
"I sought you out old man so that I may fight. If you do not wish to help me then I will find another." the warrior replied, a fire in his eyes like no other. He would fight, and he would win.
It seemed foolish now, that that same warrior now lay in a hospital bed with a nearly shattered sternum and most certainly a cracked rib. He was alive thanks to his natural reflexes, honed by years of use. Killing, maiming, all in the name of the Meji, but the old man had taken pity on his tormented soul and granted him life far beyond his years, and the ability to heal much faster than others, though still not without it's price. Were it not for his won resolve he would have succumbed to the excruciating pain of his bones regrowing long ago, but he had learned, as all warriors do, to overcome the pain, and fight through it such that in time it became a nothingness. Unless You Are A Gentleman

Spyke groaned as he sat on the infirmary bed with his shirt off. The knife wound ached badly and he didn't want to feel it anymore. His muscles were still tense but he'd been given some muscle relaxants and he was just waiting on those to kick in. With those working in his system all he'd need to do is stretch and take a hot bath. That and take it easy for a couple days.
Spyke didn't need a doctor to tell him that the bruising would go down and all that. For the most part Spyke would be in top shape by time the next round started. That'd be nice. His head ached though. He finally got his sight back after forcing himself back to his feet and fumbling along using his energy senses. That'd been a trip. Nearly died twelve times.....something like that. It didn't matter anyway.
Spyke just wanted to hear the results. He thought he'd done well but he had a foreboding feeling about the results. He shrugged it off though. If he won he won and if he didn't that meant he could move on to find more tests for himself. Still he decided to avoid tournaments. That didn't leave him with much opportunity to use his physical prowess.
"Could be better......could be worse......meh not important anyway."
He went back to focusing on his bodies recovery. Regardless of the situation if you didn't have your health you didn't have anything.

The psionic teen would wake up in a hospital bed after his second round battle. A hospital bed? But nothing like his home. Here there were no straps, no muzzles, no big men with batons ready to take out any unruly patients. It was different.
But nice.
Pip would look around, the last thing that he could remember being him opening his mind to the crowd. The audience's anger and bloodlust must have been enough to blank out the rest of the fight for Pip. Enough to make the rest of the fight not matter.
He didn't like what had happened. He felt dirty. All of those people... Each one Evil. And he had become them. He had become the conduit through which all of their Hate had run, and he had been so uncomfortable that his mind had wiped the majority of that experience from his mind.
He didn't even know who won.
His blue eyes would begin to wander around the ward that he was in and he noticed several pretty pictures, a few other patients, the usual medical supplies, and a nurse checking up on everyone. She walked over with a little quirky smile on her face, talking about 'Oh, look who's finally up' and 'I watched your fight! It was really cool' as well as the 'Your mage says that it'll take a couple more magical treatments before you're good to go, but that you'll be better by round three.'
She talked a lot. But she was cute. And nice. She was like the nurses from his home. He liked this.
With a small smile on his face he would lean back into the hospital pillow provided and close his baby blues. He was home. he was away from those evil people. He was dry.
He was happy.

Saphen was not happy...
This was an understatement as doctors scanned his arms to see if there were any fractures. The only reason it seemed the bard was still able to play music was adrenaline flowing through his body. To move his arms was an agonizing pain that he did not enjoy very much.
There was no sign of this on Saphen's masked face however so the doctors took their time analyzing. Luckily the earth and his armor had buffered the blow enough to where he did not break any bones.
As they placed various creams, magical spells, and bandages on his arms the bard turned his head to see Spyke laying in a bed not far off.
"Looks like we both avoided hell," he said jokingly as he raised his head slightly to see his friend and former opponent more clearly.

Spyke looked up at he heard Saphen's voice. He blinked a few times as he saw doctors fussing over him. Confusion played across his face and then he shrugged.
"Yeah we avoided the worst outcome still though my shoulder isn't going to be happy. Though I must admit Saphen. I didn't think I'd hit you hard enough for you to warrant medical attention. In fact I don't remember ever actually hitting you......"
Spyke stared on with slight confusion on his face. The muscle relaxers were starting to kick in and for the most part Spyke was content with the slight pain relief that provided.

"You punched me and I took the hit to try and gain distance...but you just hopped over the entire damn arena..." Saphen muttered with a tad bit of frustration but overall was still cheerful.
"Good match my friend," he said finally though if one listened close enough they could hear a very slight notion of pain in his voice.
"It was an entertaining performance to say the least."

Spyke blinked a few more times. He'd hit Saphen? When.........wait a second. "Hold on you were just standing behind that wall of mud? I see. Well that explains a lot. I must admit it was a good match. Though somewhat frustrating. Once again I could never catch you despite b being able to jump over the arena. It has to be one of your more amazing abilities."
Spyke was being serious although he sounded somewhat indifferent to the implications. The fight had been both entertaining and frustrating. Spyke had to go way out of the way to even land that single hit. Damn near cracked bones from muscle tension. A testament to Saphen's ability.
"I think next time I'll have to try harder. Better make sure you train between now and the next time Saphen. I promise I will be."

While the fight didn't result in a fatalistic KO or some form of devastating blow to his body, the swordsman couldn't help but find himself stuck in the infirmary after that last little bout against that...that...
Argh!
Blasted Samurai.
He winced, laying on the bed and glancing at the window nearby which was casting off a reflection due to the night. Having been disrobed and laying in nothing but simple patient clothes, his weapons were neatly stacked nearby - still coated with some mud and dirt left from the dirty fight from the previous round. Hell, when he has the time he'll have to tell the nurses or someone here to help clean up his stuff before the next round.
But in his condition...
His right eye glanced at the reflection of himself from the window. With the left side of his face bandaged from the cuts and wounds left by that nasty wind, most of his body was covered with blue bruises and blunt damage. Some small gashes and slices could be seen on some areas of his torso and chest, and frankly - The swordsman would have preferred slash wounds over blunt damage.
Because after all the time after the match - his body still hurted like hell from the injuries. The doctors weren't too keen on offering all the attention onto the swordsman's injuries - other, less injured patients requiring his 'medical treatment'. If it ain't life threatening, or, if one is not popular enough - well, the swordsman won't bother finishing off that sentence.
Realists, all of them...
He sighed, his eye glancing back up at the ceiling with a dull look while he remembered bits and pieces of his fight in round 2. It was a mistake to not do some research on his opposition's capabilities. Because of that, he was caught in the middle of a damn hurricane...and laying here, nursing over his injuries instead of doing some other trainings to keep his skills polished.
Ability-wise...the swordsman didn't find any problems within his recollection. In terms of physical prowess though... The Halberd was great at keeping people at bay - but after one miss, there isn't a surefire method in maintaining a constant barrage from his Halberd.
In the event that he wants to switch to his blades...it wouldn't work well either - most of the time being used to maintain and keep the staff in front of him to forestall the enemy.
... .... He'll have to toy around with some way in switching between his blades and his Halberd somehow.

Pip would wake up in a haze. As if all of the world were blurry.
Who's to say that the world wasn't blurry?
Pip hoped to face whoever did this to the world in the finals. Assholes.
He realized before too long that he was back in his hospital room. Mostly because a white blur with a pretty voice told him so. She informed him that the anesthetics would wear off before long and that everything would clear up. She asked how he felt.
How did Pip feel?
He would run his hands down his body, looking for injury before realizing what she was talking about.
Man, his thought processes seemed even slower than normal.
His arms had been broken during his last fight right before he had blacked out. When he woke up last time he hadn't been able to move them.
And now he could.
"I...
Feel fine."
Oh! That was so great. Well, the results for Round two weren't yet out, and so he didn't have any rush in getting away from her yet, but he would be in tip top condition for Round three just like she had promised. His eyesight would clear enough to make out a wink as she told him to rest as long as he liked.
Ah.
It was the cute nurse from before.
The young teen would blush and lean back.
This here...
This was what he was fighting to save.
His eyes would close, shutting out the blurry world in favor of an excellent view of the backs of his eyelids.
And he would sleep. Waiting for the next round to be announced.

It was approaching the second day and Ryu was feeling rather fine. Unlike some he had some healing capabilities that made his battle wounds recover quickly. The most he had was a near broken bloody nose. The strained muscles from Pips psionic grips and the slight bruising he had from the head on tackle he had incured were minor. Although he already had his leave from the infirmary, he decided to stick around a bit to see if he was needed. He might even get to meet his next opponent unknowingly before his next match. So, for now, he would wait and see who he could see.

Spyke stretched his arm and shoulder one more time as he exited the infirmary. His muscles were back to normal, which felt ridiculously good, and for the most part the knife wound had healed. He was applying a constant stream of energy to the afflicted area in order to boost his bodies healing effect. With any luck Spyke would be in top form for next round....or for his ventures elsewhere.
Yawning he'd head off to the hotel to order some food and get some real sleep.

Pip was told that he had only a few hours before his next round was to begin, and that he was being discharged. He felt as good as new, but the nurse still gave him her phone number in case he needed anything. She looked at him funnily while giving it to him.
She was thoughtful... but if he was all better, why would he need her number?
Maybe if he got hurt and couldn't come to the hospital? Like if he broke a leg?
He would shake his head, confused, and just shove the number into his jacket pocket. He didn't have the time. He would throw everything on, his clothing, his equipment, and even the baton that he had thrown at his opponent in the arena. Somebody had picked it up for him.
Nice.
Pip would smile, everything in its place, and leave the hospital. He needed to shower before his next fight still.

Elliot's last match had proven to be quite a struggle, but most of the injuries he had taken could, and were walked off. The only exception was his arm which suffered a hairline fracture. Some abracadabra from a white mage and the limb was good as new.

In summary, that sucked.
The matches seemed to get steadily more tilted against the fairy, and this third match with Damon had finally made her lose. Esouna lay on a large pillow placed under a spare bed, dried blood staining it dark red. Like the aftermath of the first match, she now had to recover from blood loss, but this time her injuries spread out over her. The medic were doing their job, but the fairy didn't mind speeding up the healing the only way she knew how.
That method was simply eating like a pig and letting the nutrients do their job. Right now, after having eaten enough for several people, she didn't want to get up due to a very distended stomach. Tiny body + Lightspeed metabolism = Inconvenient. She shifted a bit, then put her hands behind her head in a relaxed pose. Meh, no need to do anything at all. Not until the next fight, anyway. Company would be nice, but that thought was in the back of her mind.
