Jack tried to clarfy "so these people, not too sure how many, have been looking for Rem for a long time, even before Rem lost her memories... now they have found your trail and are very close, they want you for something but we dont know..." Jack nodded to himself with his arms crossed, "so what we have are heaven keeping 26 eyes on our arena and each of us at any and every moment, and now someone is very close to finding and capturing Rem... well... this certainally reminds me of the good ol' days. I can see one good thing, the people that are after Rem, we can figure have no idea how to get to this dimension, so as long as you stay here until they loose the trail, you'll be okay right?" Jack turned to Zaria, thoes orbs, what are they for?" Jack got an idea, for using the orbs as a way to keep tabs on theses baddies, he just hopped he was right. (Jacks a good guesser) Jack smiled and turned to Rem, "by the way, your lucky, even when you loose your memory you still remember 150 years or so, I have trouble remembering what I have to do the next day"

((Jack doesn't know about the watching orbs, they are down in Sotaru's lab, the ones floating around her head are of her creation, they are super concentrated orbs of her power, she can use them and unleash devastating attacks. So since Jack doesn't know about the watching orbs, I will pretend he was refrencing the ones around Zaira's head.))
Zaira listened to Jack's understanding of it then looked at the two balls orbiting around her head in question "I told you, super concentrated physical manifestations of my powers. Basically, I am constantly condensing my powers into these balls. The blue one, which would be my frost element powers, has enough power in it right now to cover everything in this dimention in about five feet of ice. The black one, my shadow element, currently has enough power to create a small black hole."

"Have you ever heard the "ghost theory" you humans have with orbs? Orbs are a huge collection of energy and seeing one signifies that there's a spirit present. Same concept, only Zaira is our little haunting menace."
Kai narrowed her eyes as she explained about the black hole
"Be careful, Zaira..." she said in a soft but deadly voice.

Rem paused to raise an eyebrow at what Zaira was doing. This could prove to be entertaining.
She then turned her attention back to her friends. "Kai's right, the worst one is the one I can't run from, here." She said pointing to her temple. "Lets just say the memories that I can't access grew a life of their own." She smiled a sly half smile. "It seems the more I remember the less of a pull she has." Her face turned less cheshire and more sober as she addressed Jack's query. "Unfortunately they don't give up all that easily. And I know Malchion. He was able to send me a message with his mind through the deteriorating passage from Kai's space sphere. I know cause I've done something similar. It's only a matter of time till he figures out a way to get here." Her eyes shifted to Zaira. "And yes, they are quite the force to be reckoned with. Malchion was a half angel, now he's grafted the blood of demons into himself in ways I never stopped to ask about. Who knows who else will be with him. Or what odd creature they may be."

Jack thought for a little, while on Earth the past 3 years one of the things he did while he wasnt working, was studying, he studied battles and fights to help him, sadly none of them involved nearby gas stations... Jack spoke up, "well if they are really that good, do you think they would be able to stand up to us all?? and if it really is possible for them to get here, then I say we use what we have to our advantage, this arena is our home, therefore we have home field advantage, we know the insides and outs of this place, we dont know when they're coming, but what if we did, what if we choose when they would get here, lure them here... then we set up traps and ambush them, if they really are so powerful, I think that would be our best friend...

((The movie was awesome! Heath Ledger definatly made the movie, he was hillarious and scary at the same time. On a scale of 1-10 I'd give it a bajillion >.>))
Zaira smiled at Kai's warning "Don't worry about it, black holes and covering things in ice isn't their only function, just how much power they have. I can also use them as an energy reserve, I can splice and dice to appropriate how much power I need" and while explaining the 'splice and dice' the orbs hovered over her hands, split into four balls, then to six, and back to two.
"Jack, it's almost as if you read my mind, I thought that was Aergan's job." she chuckled "The item I put out into the middle of the arena is a type of trap. I'm letting you know in case it needs to be used. It's a small electrical dispencer, basically if there is a large ammount of enemies, or just one tough one, if the dispencer takes a blow, say a sword stab or punctured by an element, it will release an electric shock which will cause anyone's muscles to tighten up who is still on the ground."
((Hope I'm not getting too ahead of myself with the trap thing >.>))

Rick chuckled silently to himself. White magik, he thought. So useless against darkness. And with the finishing of that thought, he changed the structure of the arcs of dark magik headed toward Tamnir. One of his powers was darkness; dark magik, dark energy, dark matter, shadows. All of those were included in the genre.
The arcs of magik flickered and turned so dark they nearly sucked the light out of the arena... devouring the attack, presumably a distraction, like it was nothing. The arcs were now tendrils of dark matter; the same thing that made up a black hole. The only difference between the two was that Rick had control over it. He created the power himself, without the help of others, and so he knew all the limitations of it... knowing how far he could push it without it becoming too dangerous.
Rick's sword stayed where it was, not changing, and ready to strike.

"Talk about your past coming back to bite you in the a**..." Kai muttered more to herself. She began to dwell on Jack and Zaira's suggestion with the traps.
"Very well. Go ahead a set the traps. If they don't work then it could still give us an openning to weaken or take them by surprise." Kai tried to think of what she could set up herself, and found out that at times like these she wished Sotaru was still around. Even though the sly ninja's antics left her more than annoyed and just bruised, he was a genius at traps. A mastermind.
Kairo sensed something different happening with the fight and turned to watch. She watched intently until the lighting of the Arena started to change. She shifted her eyes back and forth, feeling an odd caging feeling as the darkness closed in around them.

Jack clasped his hands together "perfect well then all I have to do is set something up that would do some damage, only thing is we have to...." Jack stopped as the arena became dark and shadowy, Jack looked at the "Rick" and smiled, "finally getting good..." he turned back around, we need to know where the traps are so we dont get caught in our own traps, Im going below to set some traps, be back...." Jack walked off looking at the sky tyo go under the arena...

Kai stared after Jack. "You don't need to set up traps below the Arena. This place is a sealed fortress. The only way in is in the Arena itself."
She said the last part by pointing at the ground beneath her. She didn't even recognize the flicker of intensity the hovering candles suddenly did.

A protective circle lit up like a beacon in the dark that Rick had caused. Another ring of light suddenly came to life at Rick's feet. The spell was meant to siphon an opponent's magic. Tamnir kept it at a mid level, he learned from his mistakes. Suddenly he was gone only his empty ring of protective light left to show where he'd been. A whistling sound could be heard coming toward Rick from his 10 o'clock.
((Pssst. It's an air attack.))
Rem slapped her forehead with her palm and prayed that Tamnir hadn't heard the ninja talking about a trap. But the low whistling coming towards the spot told her otherwise. Not willing to mess up the duel she waited till some one else noticed to react. They only had another second to move. If this hurts too much I'm going to kill Tamnir first... Zaria second. She thought idly.

((XD I wasn't using magic just then, goober. Dark matter resides in space, and the arena is... well... in nothing BUT space. An entirely void abyss, floating seamlessly in the same spot.))
The tendrils of dark matter glistened away back into the space around them as Rick violently slammed his left fist into the ground beneath him. A coffin of solid rock, roughly seven inches thick, sprung up and surrounded him. The inside coated itself with a sheet of ice that - itself - measured three inches thick. Flames burst forth from the outside of the rock just as a full circle of darkness that was thirteen feet in radius seemed to devour the earth around his nearly impenetrable fortress. The darkness swirled around the fiery rock, almost creating a whirlpool effect on the arena floor.
This was Ricks ultimate defense. Everyone had a weakness, and these four "elements" comprised most of them.
((Pssst, right back at you, Rem. By the way... why use a "10 o'clock high" - w00t for aviation terms - attack? That's visible in the peripheral vision. Easily seen and/or dodged. >_> ))

((Oooooohhhhh.... Thanks for the clarification. And I just like the 10 o'clock angle, it makes me happy and looks pretty... besides... The air attack wasn't meant to hit.))
The blades of air glanced off the mini-mega-fortress Rick had erected and dissipated whilst the other continued to his target. Tamnir hovered a few inches above the ground a safe distance outside the circle of protection and put a hand on his chin. "Wow." He chuckled. "Impressive." He reached out his left hand as if grasping a string and tugged slightly. The flames responded by elongating a wee bit in his direction.
((Kio, permission to play with your fire? Zaira, permission to zap everyone?))

((Yeah, you can set it off if you would like, I meant for it to only go off when it took a direct blow, so shockwave type things shouldn't set it off. And it's just supposed to make anyone who is on the ground's muscles tighten up for a wee bit, and it would encompass the whole of the arena area, not up into the bleachers, but that's okay, I think everyone is down in the arena anyway mrgreen ))
