Curtis had both heard and smelled Katra approaching from behind him, but had not turned to look at her until slender, warm arms were sliding around his waist and her fine, dark hands were reaching for the coffee pot. He normally prided himself in being calm in all situations, but now that he thought back on it a female had never acted like this with him. Not a female of his own species, at least. Back when he really was a young man in Germany, this sort of behavior between unmarried persons was hardly common.
"Off campus? Really?" He cleared his throat. He would keep calm. "Is it close enough for you to walk?"

Kat set down the coffee pot and slowly pulled her arms back but she hesitated when her hands were at his waist. She had left her mug on the counter and she considered going back for it but didn't. Instead she grew some balls and put her arms around him. She hugged him tight and didn't let go. "Oh...uh...yeah its just a few minutes away." She mumbled into his back.

Those idiots were outside his window playing volley ball in the sand pit again. Connor snarled and lifted his head enough to look at the beat-up radio alarm clock. Some time after ten. He'd only fallen asleep four hours ago. He swore. That was all the sleep he would be functioning on for that day. Tonight there probably wouldn't be any hunting. Killing was more difficult when he was exhausted. And he hated coffee.
As he shuffled around and dressed himself, Connor mentally listed off the excuses that he would give the mayor. He settled on informing him that his first night on the job was mainly for observation and that the real action wouldn't begin for another couple of days. Perhaps to make himself look better he'd also add that there were several on the campus. Maybe that would cause that pacifistic Nancy to expel the stick in his a**.
Showered, dressed, and hungry, Connor shuffled down to the cafeteria. The other residence in the hall avoided him, but Connor was fine with that. He liked solitude. It make leaving easier.
As he passed by Luka's room he recalled something. His knife. He still needed it back.
Connor continued on to the eating place, wishing that he could smoke in the building.
The cafeteria was throbbing with people by the time he arrived. The line for everything was incredibly long, so he settled for cereal to start with. That and some toast. He really wanted some red meat and beer, but there was no way he'd be obtaining that in this uppity joint. Grumbling, he plopped down and started gnawing at his toast.

"Ah, really?" Curtis replied. He swallowed the awkward lump in his throat. "I suppose that saves you a lot on petrol, then. "Do you have a roommate?" The conversation was taking many turns that implied things that he didn't really mean for it to, but he had to talk about something.

Kat let go of him finally and turned him around to face her. She now, with her platforms on, only made him 5 inches taller that her. She smiled up at him and poked his nose and made a booping noise then giggled. "Of course I live alone silly! Trying to deal with a roomate with this body would be hell on earth." She thought for a second then added, "I mean being a wolf not...uh...well s**t." She felt a little awkward and knew only one thing could save her now. So she jumped up on her tippytoes and kissed him full on. She put both of her arms around his neck to keep her from falling over. 'Stupid tall people'

It took Luka forever to reach the omlet counter. "Give me three with everything." The cook was about to say something rather snide, but changed his mind when she glared at him. She took her omlets and two glass of milk and started searching for a table. She spied Connor and smiled as she walk towards him. Balancing her tray on one arm, she plopped his knife still wrapped in the scraff in front of him. "I think you left this in my room last night," she said a little louder than necessary. She fingered the forming scar on her chest, then brushed her hand up Connor's chest and over his shoulder as she walked past him. She sat at the table directly behind him. The place was so packed that their chairs were actually touching.

At first Curtis had no idea what to do. He really hadn't labeled Katra as the assertive type, least of all in this sort of situation. It seemed a shame to be so tense with such a soft, warm body pressed against him, and lips of the same pressed against his. Though he was still somewhat uncertain, Curtis lifted his arms and slipped them around Katra's waist. She was a bit off-balance and for a brief moment he wondered why someone with such clumsy tendencies was wearing platform shoes. But that train of thought came to a halt as he opened his mouth just slightly against hers.

Tense and reddening, Connor gazed at the fabric-wrapped knife laying on the table. He fought his first impulse to snatch it and store it safely in his boot, but resisted. There were several pairs of eyes on him now, and looking panicked would only hold their attention longer.
"I can't believe that weirdo got laid," he heard someone whisper. Connor glanced over his shoulder with a sigh.
"Thanks for returning it," he muttered, and then quickly hunched over his breakfast and started to chow down.

Kat knew it felt really awkward kissing one of her profs and there was a sort of forebidden fruit to it but it also felt right. She pulled back slowly and smiled at Curtis. She wasn't sure if she should say anything or if she should do anything so she just smiled awkwardly and kept her hands wrapped around his neck. She had put herself into a situation that she hadn't really prepared for. It didn't help that she had no idea that he was a were until a few hours ago.

After an hour's worth of searching Aurora was really dissappointed. There was not one stinking butterfly on the entire campus! What was worse was that the few decorative flowers she had found were the sort that wouldn't attract them either. And when she had tried to climb a tree to get after a happy little sparrow that seemed unaware of her existence some stupid dean had come along and told her to stay out of the trees. She was mad!
It was these thoughts that carried her back to the cafe. She hoped maybe a little food would help her attitude... but she doubted it. Aurora grabbed everything that was either fish or poultry... (which at the moment happened to be a chicken patty sandwich and creole soup), and glared at everyone that got anywhere near her. Finally she plopped down at the end of a long table that seemed relatively unoccupied. There was a group at the far end eating and talking and staring-- at the guy sitting alone in the middle no less who also seemed to be unhappily eating in the crowded room-- and she took the far corner, with a snarl that dared any of them to look at her the same way. There was also a strange something on the talbe next to the guy in the middle, geez he looked like he hadn't had any sleep in a month and Aurora normally would've been curious if she hadn't been in such a mood. Didn't help that the far end of the table was gossiping, which she hated anyway.
She began devouring her food with spite towards everyone around her.

"You're very welcome," Luka said as she picked up her tray and spun herself in the chair next to Connor's. "They can't believe that weirdo got laid..." She giggled and shook her head. "I wish." She put her hand on his knee. "So, you seem to have quite the reputation around here." She could tell that everyone in the near vicinity was watching and she had considerably lowered her voice after her first comment. She had meant to make the situations uncomfortable for him, she had, good, but they were talking to each other now, gossip be damned.

Jeff felt his stomach growl and he headed for the room of plentiful things they try to pass off as food. And they mostly fail miserably. So he grabbed a few bananas and an apple or two then three cups of apple juice and looked for somewhere to sit. There was an open seat next to a most spiteful looking girl. 'Ah, well she looks busy enough with her food maybe she wont notice me.' So he wandered over and quickly sat down and started peeling away at his banana.

Connor tensed. Why was she so set on touching him?
"I don't need a reputation," he grumbled after downing a gulp of juice. "The point is for me to do my job and then vanish. The less attention I attract, the better." His scowl deepened. "And you aren't helping things." He brushed her hand off his knee and continued eating.

"That was... interesting..." Curtis admitted. She continued to hold him, so he continued to do the same. "I cannot recall the last time I was kissed like that." He chuckled. Perhaps he had been at one point, but his memories of everything prior to being the Nazi's guinea pig were fuzzy.

Kat blushed as she assumed that was a complement. She gave him one more quick smooch on the lips before she let go and went back to being way shorter than him. "Well, I'v never been kissed or have kissed anyone before. Except once but uh it doesn't really count" She added very quietly. She felt a little strange admitting it, for she had never told anyone about her, ah, experience. "And I uh...should get back to my apartment soonish. A nice change of clothes and a quick bath would definatly do me good." She laughed softly to herself. She couldn't keep her eyes away from his still opened shirt for too long. She had to do her best to keep from touching his chest, it was just too inviting.

"Me?" Luka asked sarcastically. "Maybe you shouldn't have attracted my attention." She slid the chair closer to him, this time her hand slid around to his inner thigh.

"Ah, good plan," Curtis agreed. "I need to be going home as well. I know that it is close, but perhaps I could give you a ride to your apartment." He hated to part ways with her, even though they had been together for the last several hours. Besides, she would be in class on Monday. "My home is about half an hour out time, I'm afraid."

Connor's face was so hot that he half expected his skin to boil off. Eating was now impossible thanks to the huge lump in his throat. He dropped his spoon, which clattered onto the table with more volume than he would have liked.
"What is it with you and not keeping your hands to yourself?" he hissed. Connor wanted to reach under the table and move her hand away, but since both his arms were resting on the table it would have been a bit obvious to everyone else.

Kat bent down and picked up the blanket he had put on her. She turned back to Curtis and gave it back to him. "A ride would be lovely, my legs are a little sore from last night, I need to go running more often. Possibly with you."
