Watching the lake, Rin felt a little calmer, eventually turning to the man, smiling.
"Can we... please go by the lake?"
She knew he would know about her love about water.

"yes....i was actually heading that way"
He would try to make her travels as enjoyable as he could and this was only a minor detour. He really wasn't sure if he was going to allow her to leave.
They get down to the lake and he stops on the shore, looking out over the water.

Slipping off her shoes and socks, she went into the water up to her knees, a smile going on her face, as she just sighed.

He liked to see the smile on her face. She was enjoying the water so thouroughly. but then something was wrong......something was out of place.
The hissing of an arrow was heard in the air as it fell just to the left of Rin with a splash. How did he not notice them. He quickly rushed into the water, sheilding Rin from more arrows, bringing her back to the shore and behind a large rock.
"are you hit"

Looking at him startled, Rin shook her head, holding onto his arm as she looked at where the arrows were coming from.
They were getting attacked already?

"alright just stay her....i will take care of them"
He left the safety of the rock and quickly made his way to the edge of the forrest. Once there he could practically nullify the archers. He saw 4 men in all, two archers and two swordsman. He went for the archers firstknowing they could continue to shoot at rin. He dispatched the first quickly with a single thrust of his sword.

Waiting a little bit, Rin wanted to go help, but didn't want to go against him...
But in the end, she snuck out, wanting to help.

Once he had killed the first archer the two swordsman came after him. he fought with the first for only a short time before killing him with a slash....(he must have been a low rank)
The arrows began to fly at him now, having to dodge them and hide behind trees making his way to the other archer.

Knocking one archer out with a nice shot to the head with a rock, Rin went on, trying to find the second swordsman.

The arrows had stopped and he looked around for the archer, which he no longer saw. Now being able to concentrate on the remaining soldier.
This one was obviously the leader. much more skilled with his sword than the other had been. He battled hard for a few minutes, trying to gain the upper hand. As they continued the soldier was able to get him off balanced knocking into him with the hood of his cloak being thrown back off his head revealing his true identity.

Eyes widening, she just looked from behind the tree at him.

He had been alric all along....the man whom Rin had beleived was dead, now in front of her fighting for her safety again. Alric was upset that he had let this man catch him offguard. He wanted to get rid of him quickly. He used the terrin to his advantage and allowed the man to swing at him gettig the blade caught into a tree. Alric quickly thrust his blade into the soldiers chest, watching him drop to the ground.
Hearing the crack of a branch under a foot, alric turned quickly preparing for an arrow to be sailing by him. Instead it was Rin...standing there stareing at him. Alric Lowered his sword wiping the blade on the dead soldier and sheathing it. Leaving his hood down he slowly began walking down towards rin.

"Al... Alric..."
She stepped out, before rushing towards him, wrapping her arms around his neck as she began to tear. She had believed this man to be dead for so long, and knowing that he was in her arms was confusing, a relief...

He slowly wrapped his arms around her. The feeling of her was more than he had expected and he didn't want to let go.

Tears running down her cheeks, she held onto him tightly, not wanting to let go of him now that she had him back.
"I'm just glad you're alive... Alric, I'm so glad."
