Gweneth caught a glimpse of the girl out of the corner of her eye as she was wandering about. She turned for a better look and nodded to herself. Nothing says 'nature spirit" like being skinny as a stick with green hair. The guard looked at the sword she was working on and smiled with admiration as she approached.
"My oh my," She said, "Now that's what I call a beastly looking sword. I mean 'beastly' in the very best way."

Talia walked beside Verin and put an arm around his shoulders lightly. Once they were far enough away She stopped him near her own hut." what was the new comer asking you about ? " she asked her eyes searching him for any hint of lie.
Laelin looked up wt Gweneth and smiled a bit. " thank you. Its over 5 feet long and 8 inches wide. It required a good stride to swing but is very powerful....you may call me Laelin or Lae "S he said> She never gave people her nickname unless she felt she could trust them exceedingly well.

"What was he asking?" He asked as he thought for a moment. "Well..." He looked around. " I mentioned something about a cave that I wasn't supposed to tell anyone." He looked up at Talia, before looking to the ground, and pushing some leaves around with his foot. "And he was wondering where it was so he could gain absolute power..."

"It's good to meet you, Lae. I'm Gweneth, a guard here in this village. Hey, you mind if I sit with you for a while?" Gweneth asked politely.

Keeping a watchful eye on her surroundings, Celia hurried along the path leading to the Elders' huts, stopping once they were in sight. She checked behind her for anyone, or anything, before looking in front of her; she could hear two voices, and Talia and Verin were short way away. Pausing for a moment, Celia casually walked out of sight between two nearby huts, immediately focusing on the forest as she did so. Something was in there and the thought was starting to bug her.

Soren awoke after awhile of sleep, feeling both energized and in a relaxed state. He drew himself from the bed, and grabbed his staff that was resting against the wall. He began making his way towards the door, and walked outside of the hut, and began walking around the village in search of what he came here to look for.

Talia watched Verin." didnt I and Markis make you promise NOT to tell anyone of the cave and what it holds ? " She said softly her voice not angry, but it had lost its nice charm and warmth. Talia rarely got angry and this was her average annoyance.
Laelin watch Gweneth a bit with her big eyes then shrugged. " if you wish..." she said continuing to sharpen her huge blade.

"I... I'm sorry...." He said looking away off to the side. "I just felt..." He sighed, and pushed some leaves with his foot. "Like I was being put in the spot light..." He looked behind him sensing some one, but saw no one there before turning to look back to Talia.

There he stood in the inn, alone now that the man in question had scurried off. No matter, he thought. If he would not be so kind as to let him in on his secret then perhaps one of the guards could inadvertently prove useful. He takes up his spear again and makes his way towads the guard outpost at the villange entrance once again.

"just make sure you dont slip up about anything ELSE we've warned you to remain silent on " she said smiling at him. " i actually have nothing for you to do so just go explore to play or something " she said ruffling his hair and walking to sit by the fire.

Gweneth gracelessly flopped down on the grass and stretched out her legs in front of her. "Would you take it very personally if I asked you about dryads? It's just that I've never met one, and I'm very curious about you."

Celia paused at the forest's edge, glancing over her shoulders again before walking forward and crossing the boundary. After slowly passing the first few trees, she stopped and began scanning the undergrowth for a sharp stone. Upon finding a fairly small, yet angular pebble, Celia carved a small line in the nearest tree, thinking better of going into unknown territory without even some means of knowing the way she had come. Continuing on, she sighed and wished she could be quieter, as the leaves underfoot crunched seemingly louder with every step. She didn't plan on going in very far at all, just enough to be past view of the village so she could try and locate whatever had been there before.

"I promise I wont tell anyone anymore." He said as she walked off to let him do his own thing. Being bored he just wandered around until he ran across the tree that Markis was standing at. He stopped, and stared at the tree. "Why is that tree black?"
Markis turned and saw Verin there looking at the tree. "I wish I could say..." He continued to scan the book.

"Okay cool, so, you were part of a tree once, right? Does it ever tickle when a squirrel runs up your trunk?" Gweneth asked, leaning forward with interest. "And does it hurt when people break off your branches? Now that I've met you, I don't think I could ever take a branch for firewood without saying 'please' and 'thank you'. Oh, and I also wondered if you could talk to other dryads when you were in your tree."
