"Don't make me go all kitty on you!" All she did was roll her eyes at his answer. Lex went to undo her seatbelt before she remembered something.
"You said I might freak out when I got home."
Her eyes went to Ryan, the right eyebrow raised.
"I'm scared."

"I think you should rephrase that. You'd scare me and get a good laugh out of it, but you'd quickly apologize."
Lex chuckled, took her hand back, and slipped out of the truck, waiting for Ryan by the door.
"You're going in first because I don't trust surprises."

Lex giggled and unlocked the door. But before she opened it, she grabbed Ryan's hand and closed her eyes. Opening the door, she slowly stepped in so she wouldn't trip, and pulled Ryan in with her.
"Nothing's going to eat me?"

"Don't make me go all kitty on you!" Her ear flashed back and smacked him in the head. Lex giggled.
"I don't think my ears like you anywhere near them, Teddy Bear."
She turned to face him, wrapping her arms around his waist with closed eyes.
"I'm not opening my eyes until you tell what the surprise is. Just, by the way."
Lexxy stuck her tongue out at him but quickly pulled it back in.

"Baby, trust me, you'll love it. Have I ever been wrong before?" He'd spent hours setting it up, asking a substitute to cover his first period class. He'd driven all the way back home to do this, which is why his knee had been hurting the majority of the day.

A short giggle wiggled its way from her throat as her ears perked forward again. It seemed that, no matter where she put her ears, Ryan always managed to eat them somehow.
"I will never quite understand why you like eating my ears so much."
Shaking her head, she clucked until she giggled again.

It didn't really matter. If they stayed out, Lexxy would get cold and Ryan would hold her to keep her warm. Either way, he'd get to hold his wife.

"Don't make me go all kitty on you!" Lexxy had to think about that, and with the thinking came a decision, and with the decision came a frown.
"Well, I'm really curious about the surprise, but I don't like surprises. And we could stay out here all night, but then I'd get cold and want to go inside to our warm bed, but that would require seeing the surprise, and I don't like surprises."
She gave out a growl of frustration as she got more and more conflicted about this. Lex bit her lip as if it would help her decide. But it didn't. So she turned to Ryan.
"Please help me!"
