"s**t!" That was Hayes again, but this time he was looking up.

"Kho-ohh!" A great cry reverberated throughout the volcano and a gout of flame blasted the ledge, snapping Rockets' ropes and heating the rock red-hot. Feathers spiraled away in the arid gusts from great wings, and everything was full of rainbows and incandescent rage as a great beak and talons snapped at the intruders.

Far below, the Magmar raised their heads.

Ho-oh was here.

Damon was not someone who was easily prone to senseless panic. However, when a sudden blast of fire ruined the hard work he'd just put into the net, he could feel the panic beginning to surface. The Charizard that had attacked earlier were already defeated, and no other Pokemon seemed apt to interfere.

With a feeling of impending doom, he slowly canted his head in the direction the attack had come up. Only to come face-to-face with a very enraged looking Ho-Oh. He was in this Pokemon's nest, readying a net with which to steal its egg. Suddenly, his mentally calculated chances of survival plummeted to a record low of 0.5%. He had only one response.

"Oh sweet Arceus, we're doomed."

Jack's jaw dropped and he just stared at the freaking legendary. It was an impressive sight he had to admit, all huge and shiny rainbows, as well as fire and murderous intent.

s**t.

He was torn between running, staring some more, or actually doing something. Agnes helped push him towards the third option with a hard nudge as she craned her neck up to see the Ho-oh better. Jack hesitated before clearing his throat nervously. "Well. Um. Agnes, use Rock Tomb! Just spam it!"

Agnes gave him a 'are you crazy?!' look. Jack waved one hand at the rampaging bird. "Do you want to die then?! You are a part of Team Rocket, after all. Dieing after it takes care of the other Rockets or getting maimed by attracting its attention won't make a difference in the end!"

The Torkoal was obviously not pleased but used Rock Tomb again. Rock chunks broke off from the crater walls and were thrown at the Ho-oh.

(HOORAY. TIME TO SEE HOW MUCH DAMON FAILS.)

Nyx looked up at what Hayes was looking at and grew slightly more pale than she already had been, "s**t!" It seemed to encapsulate their situation thoroughly. They'd been caught trying to steal the baby, and 'mother' wasn't very happy.

Langley, now free of combat, perched on an outcropped ledge and used Roost, refreshing himself from the previous battle, in preparation for what he might be asked to do in the coming moments. After he finished taking a breather, he swooped down and flew behind Darwin, ready to be sent out to fight or take up the role as Nyx's mount if the chance presented itself. He would not let his trainer fall off again. Langley couldn't help but feel angry when he looked at the great legendary bird, a sense of pent up disappointment and insecurities boiling his un-legendary blood.

Leonard couldn't say anything. His jaw was on the floor when the Ho-oh descended onto all of them and threatened to burn the mission up right then and there. Oh, and all of the intruders too.

Run? Or fight? One hand was by his belt, ready to send his Pokemon to battle, while the other hand held Weatherby, who was more inclined to fleeing at the moment. He figured that attacking the Legendary would piss it off even more and would spell certain destruction. But who's to say that it wasn't already angry enough to chase after them and incinerate the helicopter as they ran? If all of the Rockets fought then there's a chance of victory, however slim...
