She stopped her short search and looked back with a shurg, "If you think it would be useful we can start there" she trotted back over. "He won't be mad that we dug through the boxes?" She wondered too if perhaps they should wait, they had after all asked Vincent to go with them and doing a search or research would take longer than he should need to get ready.

"Waiting may be good, I will just go see what is taking him so long, please, wait here" he said as he ran out the room to go search for Vincent.

Makoto nodded, she wouldn't mind being left alone with some great historical minds. She smiled looking again at all of the books. It really was wonderful here. Since she had to wait she decided to make another round of the room, this would be the third time and she couldn't get enough. Her feet felt a bit cold though and then the didn't. That was odd. She walked back where she had been. Definitely colder here. She walked back and forth working her way closer to the wall trying to find the edges of the cold and pin point the source. This one bookshelf, which looked identical to all the others had a draft. How did it have a draft it was floor to ceiling built in bookshelves. She looked at the edges at the shelves at the base. There had to be something here. Something... She looked back at the door way where she had last seen Onyx but it now stood empty. Hmm... Nothing but the draft seemed out of the ordinary.... perhaps the tiniest gap between this bookshelf and the next... did the others have gaps? She moved down to the next bookshelf and examined it... she didn't see a gap. Hmmm, it had to open some how right? Or it could just be from the old house settling over the years and there wasn't anything back there, but now she had to know. So how do you get it open?

Onyx came back moments later with Vincent who was too busy looking at his phone reading a text message to worry about what the two kitsu's were doing "we going?" He asked her curiously as he stepped into the room, wondering if she was ready.

She looked at Onyx and Vincent then back to the bookshelf. "There is a draft coming from this bookcase... just this bookcase. Have you noticed it before?" She pawed at the one she meant. She didn't know how to open it but she knew it was there just waiting to be discovered. "I think it's one of the passages". Now how to tell that to the human who wasn't even looking...

"That...has no opening, I know it sounds strange but we have pushed and pulled everything we can possibly think of in this room and we can't get it to open and we would push it aside but as you can tell, Vincent isn't exactly Mr Muscle Man and this bookshelf with all the books in it would weigh a ton and he isn't one to wanting to disturb the books from the shelf so we have just left it, only other thing is that the mechanism for that is somewhere else in the house but look at how big this house is, we could be looking for months just to try and find it."
Vincent looked up from his phone and looked at the two "you two ready?" He asked curiously.

She looked at them and back to the bookshelf again, before giving a sigh and a nod. She'd do some research on this type of house and typical secret passage construction of the time and she'd be back you could count on it. She trotted to the others "ready."

"So, where are you taking me?" He asked as Onyx and the other left the library and headed for the front door.
Onyx looked at the other beside him "I think it best you lead" he said, letting her lead them back to her place, he had a fair idea where it was but it was her house so...

Makoto nodded and moved to the front to bring them to her house.

Once at her house she sat, looking disappointedly at the house now that she had seen Vincents. She looked to Vincent and gave a small whine that had always worked on her own human whenever she wanted something enough to ask for it. She even nuzzled his hand for that little extra bit of persuasion.

Vincent was already on it, he patted the girls head and opened his bag, taking out a digital, high tec camera and started taking pictures, just the sight of this house would be great for business "won't be long" he said as he started running around, taking pictures left and right, he was like a child in a candy shop, this was going to look great on his folio "may I go inside?" He asked once he had finished taking photos of the outside.
"See, told you, you didn't have to worry" he said smiling at her.

Makoto nodded and trotted ahead to lead the way ducking into her own little library which was one of the best preserved in the house, it wasn't as nice as his but it was the best she had to offer in this house. She smiled to Onyx, "So glad you convinced me."

"Well then, shall we?" He asked gesturing towards the house "and I am sure, by the end of it all you may just get the house you want, I know he will do an awesome job on it, just wish we had a way of being able to converse with him, it would be easier that way" he said with a sigh, wishing there was a way to speak to humans besides having a Guardian.

Makoto tilted her head thinking, she could write but that would take forever and without thumbs it would be hard to know if he could even read it. Carades was another option but again time and difficulty. "Well.... hopefully seeing all my books will help him understand the need for bookshelves." She smiled looking at the books that surrounded them. She was getting more and more excited as Vincent worked

Vincent had settled down amongst the books in the first room he came upon and whilst he wanted and needed to do his work he just couldn't pass up a good book and well...considering how many books were in this room he could easily sit in here for hours but a few minutes wouldn't hurt right? Besides, this book on Ancient Egypt was fascinating and one he had yet to come across himself, sure he loved all mythologies by Egyptian was one of his faves.
"Something tells me that won't be hard to figure out, no" he said smiling at her as he made his way inside "though if I know him he won't have even..." he stopped as he looked in the first room and saw him reading a book "....started" he said gesturing towards her to look "he is as predictable as anything" he said, looking back towards the human.

Makoto smiled. He was a human after her own heart. "I got to enjoy his library it's only fair he gets to enjoy mine" She jumped up onto an old rickety table that wobbled under her feet forcing her to take a few moments to steady herself before reaching for a book and pulling it down. "We can all take a reading break" she smiled and placed the book at Onyx's feet "You might enjoy this one" Grabbing another book for herself she curled up at Vincent's feet to read
