The Loud Voice that said a lot of words she couldn't recognise, but the sight of the shadowcreature that appeared in front of them spelled it out clearly enough.
Reine whimpered, clinging to her bear, and peered over his arm, hoping it wouldn't see her. Wait, where was Ally? She saw the other hunters summoning theirs, and it only belatedly occurred to her that she hadn't brought hers out...
Oh noooo. Poor Ally, all alone. Sobbing, Reine ran to her room, and attempted to retrieve the swordbreaker. She mostly ended up tripping and falling on the floor. A lot.

Uh oh! Something was escaped!
Harrison grinned.
Something was gonna get stabbed. He dragged the unicorn behind him importantly. Just because he was shorter didn't mean he couldn't beat the snot out of anyone, especially scary monsters. He marched right up to the thing, dragging B0nez behind him and swinging him clumsily around, temporarily off balance. But he was okay! It didn't even really hurt!
He settled for poking the shadow and scowling.
"You gotta pay a toll if you want to come through here," he informed it.

... ohgoddammit.
It looked like the question of whether Jordan could lift Ferros like this was going to be relevant after all. Still, there was no question about it; he was going to try. He pulled the ring out of his pocket and summoned the hammer - which promptly hit the floor and stayed there.
This is ridiculous, Ferros grumbled.

"Aw raspberries!" leon pouted once the alarm went off, the signal taking the fun out of the moment once the shadow made its appearance. It had to go down and he was the toddler to do it.
"NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIID!" he whined aloud to the dragon in his head and watched as it formed in front of him.
And sat there on the ground, unmoving, even as the boxer tugged and pulled with all his strength. and scuffed his foot on one of the edges.
He had a boo boo. :<

Aleister's eyes widened as Reine had the bear give Caelius a hug.... "Uh......" He stopped staring, ".... Are you sure that's what he wanted?" He whispered to the other before freezing when a shadow started moving.
"Ahhhh!!! OH NO They're back!!!" He decided hiding behind the bear was a good idea, scrambling to save his skin. Screw fighting, he hated shadows.
<.... You're seriously going to hide behind a freaking bear? COME ON I can take it.>
<Y-yes, it's a mother freaking SHADOW. What do you not get about I don't like shadows. Plus you're HOW Much bigger than me?>
Aleister stayed hidden behind the bear for now watching, while Puca chided him for being such a wimpy kid.

Wash's eyes went round and a grin split his face from ear to ear. FART the ALPHABET? He- The shrill warning from the speakers cut off his train of thought, as SOMETHING rather scary oozed into the room. WERE THOSE TENTACLES-Wash, WASH. REACH INTO YOUR POCKET!The commanding voice was too much for him to resist, and he pulled out a tiny glow in the dark alligator keychain. As soon as he wrestled it out of his pocket it fell to the ground and GREW, turning into what was, for a kindergartner, a tower shield. "I'll keep it away," He cried bravely Maddie. He might not LIKE girls, but they weren't allowed to get HURT. It was the rules! He rolled the shield awkwardly alongside him, yelling incoherently at the thing. Unfortunately, his wild charge resulted in him rolling his VERY HEAVY SHIELD over his VERY SMALL foot. "OWWW!!!" he hollered plaintively. Why are you so SMALL? Come ON! This is embarrassing...HP: 17/20 Damage: -3 to self!

The bag of kazoos was dropped as Jerry's eyes widened in terror. But he WASN'T just a little kid anymore at the sight of this shadowy monster. He was... he was a HUNTER!
POOT-PADOOOOOOOOO!!!! His kazoo sounded the charge, teh whistle (that now hung closer to his navel) suddenly erupted into a bright green light...
And he was promptly crushed by the massive cannon that formed on his shoulder.
His kazoo made a sad, PBBBBBBBOOOOOoooooooooo~

As the alarms began to go off, the two were saved the trip as young boy emerged from the Lab building and began to stride toward them. He had dark black hair, softly tanned skin, and eyes that were dark blue and shining angrily as he approached Clarice. It may be worth noting that while his clothes were slightly oversized, the black t-shirt (featuring a rainbow-hued unicorn) and blue jeans were much closer to child-size than those of the other hunters. "Clarice," he snapped out, "were you playing with Julie again?" He shifted a little, then a lot, until he reached into the shirt and pulled out an old paper flower. "Damnit, even now she's still leaving her damned..." With a scowl, he cut-off and redirected his attention at his two minions, "Well? Don't just stand there. There's something we need to go kill."He could possibly mean the specimen. Possibly.Pale and speechless, Clarice just grabbed Robert's arm and nodded slowly. This was somehow even worse than him being a big huge jerk of an adult.

Bix had realized a few key points when he woke up.
1) He was a child.
2) His braid was still around normal length and thus it was just dragging all over the floor.
3) THIS WAS THE BEST DAY EVER.
He burst from his room with a lumpy, full pillowcase in hand which was making plastic clattering noises. He was totally excited until he saw the shadowy monster. The normal rush of battle readiness was replaced with "AHHHHH MONSTER!!"
Bix was wearing only a ***** t-shirt (and no pants) but the shirt was long enough that it was down to his feet. Nothing else did an adequate job of covering him. The t-shirt tangled between his tiny legs and he spilled out onto the floor, pillowcase clattering beside him. Bix sniffled but was trying to look tough, trying his BESTEST.
He scrambled to roll over and there was a flash of light. His bow lay on the floor in front of him, much too large to lift.
"SHIIIIT!" He screamed at the top of his kiddie lungs.

He had still been in the process of trying to figure out what to do when the sound of the loudspeakers suddenly exploded through the hall.
And the kids were....all over the place.
"....oh, great, just what we bloody well needed," muttered Gale. He swung Eva off his back, gently pushing her to the side as he stuck his hand out, a flash of white light illuminating the ring on his finger before the sniper rifle appeared.

He very nearly tripped over Bix on his way towards the damn thing, and wound up staggering a few steps. But then he managed to right himself, swinging up the rifle and taking his first shot. It whistled through the air and exploded into the shadowy beast with a loud bang, and Gale dived forward, trying to keep everyone from getting hurt.
"Careful - careful - devils this is damn difficult - "

Running down the hallway at top speed, Deryk was unknowingly running right to an evil creature! He might have been panicking about his current short stature. Just maybe. And things didn't improve once he saw the shadowy creature of doom.
That didn't make him stop running. Summoning his weapon... which the 'bracer' was now more like a full arm cast and made a wild swing at the beast.
He then resumed screaming.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

As expected, Dr. H in boy form was just as mean, and maybe just a little weirder. Robert felt Clarice grip his arm, and an automatic reaction took place. He pulled the girl into his arms and gave Dr. H the meanest look ever. Nobody picked on little girls around kid!Robert. Nobody. "It's okay, princess. I gotcha." He had a strange sense of deja vu, hearing those words again. "Come on Jazzy, we got work ta do." Ah, Robert, little darling, wait-But he'd already pulled the coin out and summoned her, all seven feet of her. His little hand was hanging off the handle that he could just barely reach, and after a second.. whomp. He was grounded, taking Clarice with him. Jezebel was going to be of no use.. so instead, he let the weapon go, picking Clarice back up in one arm while reaching out to punch the monster with his little fist. Damage: 1 HP: 20

Well, so much for playtime, though Eva supposed that this could technically count. As Gale slid her off his back, she landed neatly on her feet, and then stretched her hand out in front of her. Time to summon Chara and--
--woah! Chara, when did you get so big?! No, nevermind--we can still do this!
Grinning, Eva lifted the staff and charged towards the figure...only to be thrown off by Chara's unexpected weight. Stumbling, she crashed into the floor. Ordinarily, this would be nothing, but Eva found herself feeling surprisingly upset that she had fallen and scraped her knee--it wasn't even a bad scrape. Taking a deep breath, she pushed herself to her feet.
"Gotta...stay...calm..."
Tears welled up in her eyes.

Wait she was being carried again?! "Goddamnit, Robert," Raeg was still...probably not the best of weapons for her to try and use in fight right now. Just like Jezebel. The small blonde hit the ground with a soft whumpf and she could hear the doctor laughing at them in the background. Scowling she made to get up again and get her goddamn fight on, when suddenly she was back to being Robert's version of a purse dog.In the meantime, H summoned Marie and managed to just barely nick the creature.
