"You're doing it wrong."
"That's supposed to go there."
"Use that strap to slip it.. just let me do it."
"Still doing it wrong."
Eventually Sasha just gave up all attempts at being productive - for the moment, at least - and let Harrison let all the b***h out. Aaaaallllll the b***h, just let it all out. She tried to be patient as he threw his little hissy fit and argued with her about everything just to be a contrary shithead.
"Listen," she hissed, "I don't want to do this any more than you do but unless you want to sleep with nothing over our heads except the sky," she jerked their shared hands into the air, "I suggest you just cooperate so that we can get this finished already, Harrison."
Sasha sniffed, a very holier than thou sound. A very 'your stupid is showing' sound.
"You're acting like a big baby. It's just ridiculous."

Harrison groaned at the reminder.
"He thinks I'm sleeping anywhere near you he's got another thing coming. What the hell has this got to do with zen? Shitty-a** <******** tent equipment."
The poles clanged when he kicked them.
"You're the baby. I feel like I'm attached to a damn- tiny ******** Barbie doll, and meanwhile I'm supposed to get this shitty thing set up but somebody wanted to print the instructions on the tag in Vietnamese with goddamn hieroglyphics, ********, s**t, YOU SMUG ******** I GOT AN IDEA OF WHERE YOU CAN SHOVE THOSE POLES."
At this point it was clear that Harrison was neither zen or talking to Sasha.

Sasha held up their zen-bound hands, her lifting to impossible heights.
"Really? Harrison, I'm not sure where you plan on sleeping tonight without cutting off your own hand," her tone implied that he had some deep thinking to do if he thought he was cutting off hers, "and if you want to sleep on the ground outside of the tent, that's fine, but you are acting reprehensible right now and it's just disgraceful."
It was obvious Sasha was really enjoying taking the 'moral higher ground' - all the while relentlessly making potshots at Harrison's infantile pity party.

As Jason Ah-weeba-wumpa'ed, Jerry began to sing, following along beside him with a merry, "In the Jungle, the miiiighty jungle, the liooon sleeeps toniiiight! Oh, in the jungle the-" He cut off, though, as the tent making came into view. "Oh er... that sounds like a plan! I've never pitched a tent before..." Sure you have, guy, Roar nickered. Jerry's face went red. "I've never been camping before, I mean. Er... lead the way?" Jason Tent Roll: 1 Jerry Tentt Roll: 2 Difference: 1 clearly BFFs.

((Roll for pit escape))
As the ground gave way under Petra, Rep was almost dragged into the pit with her. The only thing that saved his a** and consequentially both of them was a reflex instinct to brace himself. Seizing her hand firmly, he backed up to get more solid, less slippery footing and ignoring the screaming protests in his arms, back and sides, hauled her slowly but surely out of it.
There were a few terrifying moments where he almost lost traction and joined her, but through some miracle of luck he got her out before they both met a cold and watery fate.
This time when they were out, he didn't want to stick around for more traps, -not even stopping to catch his breath- simply without a word pointed along the path before he turned and quickly headed onwards through the jungle. Not too fast though, not about to repeat that ******** fall.
Finally reaching the clearing was a tremendous relief, Killzone was actually a welcome sight for a change rather than a dreaded one.
At least initially.
As the tents were pointed out, Rep looked them over, immediately assuming that he'd be able to help Harrison out and get something set up in time for the frankly pretty delicious sounding food. But as no move was actually made to unbind them from the bracelets, he felt disappointment creep up on him. Disappointment that twisted into a sort of panic the longer he ignored it. He wouldn't be able to sleep next to a woman, no way. Especially not with snakes all over this ******** jungle, and her clearly unafraid to use them against him. He'd have to watch his back the entire time.
He eyed Petra despairingly. It wasn't her fault they'd been lumped together, but it felt so much easier to try and pass the blame. "You can help set up the tent and then you can sleep outside. I'm sure nothing will ******** eat you. Too much, anyway."
Harrison got shot another pining look before he tried to edge over to the tents to get a look, poking the thing with his toe. "Do you know anything about outdoorsy s**t?"

Harrison proceeded to tell her exactly WHAT was a ******** DISGRACE around here and after assaulting the tent, also attacked a nearby tree, the ground, and a rock.
The rock didn't take it as kindly as the objects.
"OW. Son of a b***h." With all the fury he could muster with one hand, the rock went straight into the undergrowth. "I bet you are just loving this s**t," Harrison snarled, wishing they could use the equipment pile to build a fire instead.
He looked up to see if any other groups had magicked their supplies into a tent, and caught Rep's eye. "...And Rep made it back safe. Bet you're real relieved about that too."

((roll is for getting Rin out of the pit/the tent)) Ami groaned. If the poor sap was left down there, she'd die. Then Ami would be stuck to a corpse. She'd have to saw the arm off with Junpei, and then things would get all sorts of awkward. Ami really didn't want to deal with the effort that would take.
So she stuck an arm down and prepared to heave the girl out.
*le timeskip*
Sometime later they arrived at Killzone's base camp. Ami counted the tents, pointing to each one as she did so. Only four. Four. That meant-
She looked down at her handcuff.

Rin grabbed all over Ami and clambered up eagerly, still not entirely certain why she'd denied saving her in the first place. Looking up at bits should have been flattering; assuming she was caught in the act.
In any case; FREEDOM!
She tugged Ami along to join the others at Killzone's campsite. What she saw though... she wilted. No cabin? Not even pre-built tents? In the all-mighty words of Sasha; motherfricker. That alone was before dawning realization that Killzone wasn't going to free them from their sweaty-palmed nightmares. No. Just like everyone else they were expected to build this s**t one-handed and then apparently share the results.
Fine.
She could do this. With one hand she channeled her inner moon and set to work constructing the best half-assed tent ever.

If Sasha hadn't been connected to Harrison - therefore rendering her especially useless - she'd have been laughing her a** off. She'd have been laughing until tears streamed down her face. He really did look ridiculous. This temper tantrum was amazing, it truly was. It was almost as breathtakingly amazing as their destroyed tent on the ground.
Really.
But Sasha was connected to Harrison, and she wasn't laughing her a** off. She was actually growing more and more agitated at the thought of sleeping through the night without shelter started to become a real threat.
"Look. Maybe if you just stop being an idiot and start paying -- really? Really? Do you think at this moment in time I give two shits about what's going on with Rep? Because - hey, are you listening? I don't. And really? This crybaby temper tantrum punching-all-the-rocks thing?"
She gave her best attempt at tugging Harrison closer, mean-mugging all the way.
"It's just childish."
Sasha grunted, her eyes flitting over to Rep and Petra.
"Of course he made it back safe."
She flicked a piece of debris off of her shoulder.
"He's paired up with a woman - a capable one, by the looks of it. Bet he hates that."
Snooty sniff.

Honestly, Ami didn't dislike the outdoors. It might've seemed strange since the girl practically screamed New York City, but she liked camping. Hiking with Adam was a big pastime back then. Tents, campfires- they were all great.
So getting up a tent? Wasn't that hard. She'd set up one similar before, and most tents followed the same pattern. Attach the poles, slip the poles through the loops and bam. Tent.
That didn't make sleeping with Rin any better. She was thanking her stars that at least Rin wasn't a man. That was the tiny star of hope in this dark, DARK night sky. Ami didn't say much as they set it up though- that is, she said nothing at all. The idea of sleeping this close to anyone in such a small space was unbearable. She silently pleaded that Rin wasn't a weirdo in her sleep.
While they set up, Ami shot Sasha a silent look that screamed help me.

Harrison tugged back, crushing her hand, all the anger focusing like a searchlight.

At first, she was sure they were both going down. Rep's body lurched, and she felt a sickening cold hit her gut, twisting it almost nauseatingly before he caught himself, and her. It was simple physics; if he fell, there was absolutely no way she would be able to hold him up. Especially not from where she was, almost completely engulfed by the pit, only her fingers scraping at the edge.
Luckily, the redheaded hunter was able to pull her out. By now she was muddy, damp, sweaty and covered in leaves; needless to say, she looked like a wreck. She felt like a wreck too. But whether it was pure stubbornness, or perhaps something human had died in her a long time ago, she responded with a layer of ice, her expression darkening.
"Thanks," she replied, a quiet anger simmering behind her tone.
She had a vendetta against this place. This meant war.
The rest of the way to camp was passed in silence. The others had already gotten to camp, apparently setting up their tents. From the looks of it, Killzone had decided not to release them from this hell that was team-hand-holding-time, everyone grumbling and making due with what they had. Petra watched for a moment, blue eyes roaming freely over the campsite before she felt Rep's eyes on her, and she turned her attention to him. Whether she'd seen the wanting look he had given Harrison or not, the death trainee didn't mention it at least, instead waiting for him to speak. Which, if she had learned anything from him in their time together, was that he seemed to always have an opinion (and a curse,) for everything.
Of course, she was completely unsurprised when he said she could sleep outside. Giving him a dark look which really could have meant anything from 'hell no' to 'you're such a p***y,' Petra leaned down to scoop up the tent pack, carrying it to their site before starting to slide the contents out of the bag, beginning to set up the rods which would hold the canvas. Although it would clearly be impossible to do without another hand (ie: his) it was clear by the way she sat and used her knees to hold them in place while she staked the bottoms with the pins that she'd done this a few times before.
"Yes," came her blunt response. If he wanted more than that, he was s**t outta luck; sharing wasn't her strong suit. Luckily, she got the feeling he didn't give a s**t about her life's story anyway. Baneful Sorry for the crappy post ;;

He was hurting her hand.
For a moment Sasha was jolted into a scenario much like this one, one where Harrison became the man she had lived her life desperately trying to make happy. Sasha froze, paled.
"You don't fool me, Sasha. You are not so smart. Your papa is much smarter."
"Papa, you're hurting my hand."
"Did you honestly think that your papa would not find out that you sneak out while he is sleeping?"
"I didn't want to wake you, papa, when I played my music."
"You are nothing but a liar, Sasha. A liar."
A few blinks, a few sharp intakes of breath; she was back.
She was livid.
Sasha leaned into Harrison, her eyes narrowed to small slits, reptilian. Her voice was cold, expression ugly, teeth bared. "You don't know me, Harrison. You don't know me at all."
She returned the crushing grip; her hand was not soft and dainty - there were definite callouses along the side of her thumb. Her free hand was trembling, claw-like in formation. When she spoke again her voice was a mere whisper.
"Don't pretend you know me. Don't act like you know who I am, what I'm made of. You don't."
Her entire body was tense.
"You don't know the first thing about me."

He didn't buy the doe-eyed fear. And when he didn't, her expression got ugly fast.
Pain crept up his hand and arm, he crunched harder.
"Yeah, I'm a real dumb son of a b***h. But there are a lot of snakes in that jungle, and I'd rather be chained to any ******** one of them than the poisonous belly-crawler I got stuck with."

When Harrison kept the pressure on her hand, Sasha squeezed tighter.
"And you're just the poor guy that got stuck with me. I've got something you need. Why beg me to save Rep - and now this? This is why I refuse to put myself out there for him. You don't respect me, and Rep sure doesn't."
She clenched her jaw, muscles visibly clenching beneath her pale skin.
"He kills someone - turns on his team - and I'm the bad guy. Me. Not him, I am." Sasha gave a low, humorless laugh.
"And if you think I'm capable of fooling the doctor?" Her voice was low, laced with venom, "You really are an idiot."
