Luna entered into the bar and quickly found herself a seat. It had been at least five years since she entered Lumiria. She hadn't been here since her old captain had disappeared, not that it really mattered much to her. Luna had gotten bored of all the training anyway. So for the last five years she has done nothing but ******** around. Who cared? It wasn't as if she had anything to do or anyplace she had to be. Hell, she didn't even have any friends to worry about or miss her. So it didn't really matter to her that she had been gone for so long.

Right now, the Kiranu woman was just traveling around. She had all sorts of sights that she wanted to see. Perhaps, deep down, she was even looking for a purpose, but who knew? One couldn't read the Kiranu woman too easily. She pulled out some money and slapped it on the table. The woman ordered a tall glass of booze and, once she had it, took it back to her seat in the back corner.

Propping her feet up on the table, the woman just began to watch the patrons with a bored look on her face. Was there anything interesting happening here? It seemed to her as if peace had taken over. She was sure the people enjoyed it, but she didn't.

After a few hours of people watching, and drinking more than her fair share of booze, Luna decided to once again head out. She wasn't sure what she'd find, but perhaps she could pick a fight with someone in the Combat area. It had been a long time since she had been there. Surely there would be some new meat that would try something, or so she hoped. Well...she hoped so long as she could actually give them an a** whooping. The feline had no desire in picking on someone her own size.

Heading up to the bar tender, she grabbed a few more bottles of booze and paid for them before sauntering out the door and heading to the assessment center.

The blood inside of you...

Marishka stepped into the Bloodbank for the first time in what seemed like another lifetime ago. Having served as the former Captain of the city, she knew every orifice and crevice to this city. Having snuck in without having to deal with customs or gate keepers, she naturally found her way here. Walking by Alex and James, her eyes looked around at the other patrons having a good time. No one would see her as strange for being covered head to toe by a hood. This was Nocturne, everyone here was a creature of the night. It was the first time Marishka felt at ease and not self-conscious about her mysterious appearance.

Walking up the stairs and unto the second floor of the Bloodbank, she was amazed upon seeing the bar that Luo and Ruby were still working here. Even after all this time, the two of them hadn't changed one bit. It's part of the city's charm, nothing ever changes. A city under eternal night, time seems to stop completely in Nocturne. Having a seat at the bar, Luo didn't recognize her as he asked her what she was going to be having. Adjusting the hood of her robe to cover her face, Marishka looked over to the doorway down on the first floor. Thankfully, she had a good view of anyone stepping inside the restaurant and there was a window behind her in which she could escape. Marishka was a rogue of Nocturne after all, and the last time she was here she was almost killed by King Fenrir.

She chuckled at the mere thought Fenrir before realizing that she was asked what she wanted to have. "Can I please have a glass of blood...any kind will do," Marishka stated simply. She had long been freed from her craving for blood but a girl's still gotta eat. Waiting for Luo to pour her a glass, Marishka couldn't help but take a stroll down memory lane. She remembered her time here in Nocturne as it was just yesterday. She couldn't help but wonder what had happened to all of the people that used to live here and whom she knew...Luna, Fenrir, Cherry, Project 666, Aventus, Leon, and so many others. Her glass was placed in a wine cup in front of her in a matter of seconds, in which Marishka took it with her right hand and brought the glass to her lips. Sitting back on her chair, Marishka tilted the glass slightly as she took a small sip as if to test its quality.

The loud roar of a car engine sounded outside the restaurant, somehow muffling its way through the thick walls and pumping club music from upstairs. It quickly quieted, however, and a moment later a white-haired man walked through the door. Red shades adorned his face and reflected the lights of the restaurant, and a small cloud of carbon dioxide rolled past his feet as he walked in. One could wonder about such a thing, and why he was wearing sunglasses in a city of eternal night, but much stranger things happened in Nocturne on a regular basis so nobody ever seemed to ask. With his leather-gloved hands half-tucked inside his dark jean pockets the man wordlessly wandered towards the back of the restaurant like a ghost. None of the bouncers said a word to him, nobody looked at him, and for a moment it seemed like he was invisible to the world until Ruby casually walked by on her way to a table and said "Hey Chase." He cooly lifted a hand out of his pocket and gave a light wave in reply, undeterred from his path towards the back of the restaurant where an old lit up juke-box sat against the wall. Chase approached it, basking in the blue neon light that shined down from the ceiling. His shades reflected the lights and tiny scrawling words behind sheets of song listings, always shifting from one side to the other with every button-press he made. After flipping through a few pages a small smirk grew on his face and the amused gentleman popped a few quarters into the appropriate slot. Then he simply turned and walked away while his selected song broke in over the speakers.

Chase casually approached the bar and took a seat next to Marishka. Her blood-filled glass and hood didn't seem to bother him, but then again this was Nocturne. He reached into his pocket again and pulled out a crumpled up box of cigarettes, which he proceeded to tap against his palm to pack the tobacco inside as closely as possible. "You don't mind if I smoke, do you?" He asked Marishka, though he was already pulling out a slender white stick from the box.

Marishka took another sip of her glass when suddenly a techno-rock beat filled the room. She watched as the male who she overheard was named Chase, sit next to her. He seemed to be fairly well known at the bar in a different way that Marishka used to be known. While Chase was greeted happily, Marishka always gave out a sense of fear to everyone around her. It wasn't the fact that she was a vampire. Vampires are common in Nocturne. It was the fact that she delved in dark and arcane magic.

"It's a free city," Marishka stated simply, her tone was soft and almost child-like. When she was alive she used to partake in the occasional cigarette. However, she hadn't had one ever since. She suddenly remembered how it used to calm her nerves and peered over at Chase from beneath her hood. "If you don't mind though, would you mind sparing one?" she asked, wondering if she should take up the habit again.

"A free city." The shaded stranger replayed her words over in his head. Yes, she was right, Luimira was a free city. Its bright lights, lawlessness, and tolerance for the most savage acts of debauchery were what brought him here in the first place, those many years ago.

He gave the ominous beauty at his side a coy smile and offered her the cigarette from his box, the filtered end still poking out from beyond the orderly rows of identical white pillars behind it. "Sure." He replied, and although his answer was simple it held a kind-of confident and amused charm behind it. He still didn't know who she was, what kind of dark past echoed behind her cowl, or what power she possessed but that didn't matter. He liked her, and for Chase this was becoming a rare event. "Could you remove your hood for me?" He then requested, after assuming she'd taken the cigarette. He'd pinch two of his fingers together and a spark of flame would rise up a couple inches from the tips of his leather gloves. Slowly he would push his lit hand closer to Marishka's chin. The warm light of his glove would wash over her face and reflect the color of her eyes in the fire. Then the flame moves over the end of her cigarette and burns it.

Shadow of Sins
----------------------------------------------------

"Nothing personal.... just business" Two shadows spoke as they attempted to thrust at the patron's bodies, with the aim of taking their lives with ease. Their claws were glowing dark red as it was aimed to steal their spirits from her body. Which would surely end the life of a ghost car and the woman.

In a flash of silver Chase raised his twin pistols and fired repeatedly into the mysterious shadowy figures that attacked them. "Piss off." His eyes flashed red behind the dark veil of his glasses. "Can't you see I'm talking to someone here? Don't spoil the mood."

Without warning anyone, Amias suddenly appeared at one of the tables in the diner. Thankfully, the wait staff there had grown accustomed to this--seeing as how Amias had been a patron for quite some time now--and his usual platter was offered to him from the get go. Naturally, he declined; instead, he would wait to order until the man he'd sent for had arrived. Brydent would--hopefully--not keep him waiting for too long, or the man would send for another man, the likes of which he'd already communicated as a potential third party to Mr. L. No matter which way this went, the Pagan god of Nothingness was prepared to get down to business and defeat the huns.

                                                        Passives

                                                            • Glory To Me
Pagans are very... noble. They have the air of a King or Queen about them; even a divine. This comes from this particular ability. 'Glory To Me' is a mental allure that they constantly release from their vessel, similar to an Incubi's seduction, but weaker. Rather than seducing people, this ability fools their mind. It can make them see things that aren't real. In fact, they can even feel these things. This ability is literally impossible to ignore or break out of, but it serves little benefit other than prestige. A Pagan will often use this power to make themselves appear divine; the sun will rise behind them, their clothing will flow and shine with the breeze, they'll just seem so... God-like. They can even change their appearance using this, although it's a temporary thing. This ability can have some uses in battle, though. For example, if a Pagan is to cast a shadow over themselves, it'd make them harder to see. If they make the sun shine behind them, they can make their enemy flinch away from the overbearing light. They can also fool enemies into thinking they've struck a shield or something like that, although that sort of manipulation over reality is something that only Pagans who focus on this type of power can do.

                                                            • Three Wishes
Up to three times per fight, the djinn may manipulate the force around an attack to redirect it for two ranks less in energy. This can only be done on skills of one rank higher than them. This is an extremely powerful passive of the djinn, an intelligent djinn capable of using it to largely make up for their vulnerability to ranged magic. It can also help to leave an enemy open in close-quarters combat.

                                                            • Mind Games
The djinn have a permanent 'force' around their skin that will reduce incoming damage by a rank (excluding holy and unholy magic). This puts them on the same level of base defensibility as a werewolf, although they can't regenerate, so...
At adept rank, this force can become amplified by the djinn's mind, psychomanually controlling the level of force in the layer of magic. They can apply energy to it to block all manner of attacks, meaning they don't really have to learn defensive abilities. It is really no more potent than any other defense of its rank, though.

The bouncer and the serving girls recognized him, smiling and offering him their best. He was, after all, the Captain of Nocturne. He'd come to expect a life of luxury. It was too sad, then, that he'd be abandoning it all soon enough. "Amias," he called to the other man, a grin covering the curve of Brydent's lips. After only a brief moment, the table would begin to rumble and the man's senses might begin to blur. He would hear steps, but they sounded more like crashes, explosions, the smashing of a giant gavel against a flimsy and wooden frame. An instant after the last step, Brydent would tap his shoulder. "I remember your smart a** questioning our Lord. What exactly would you seek to gain by contacting me, his ill-reputed dignitary?" He applied weight upon his shoulder, leaning into it with an exemplary glare in his eyes. Brydent was . . . not a pleasant person to have a dinner with. Ever.

Amias was privy to the intimidation tactics employed by many of the residents of Nocturne. Something like this? Only moderately intimidating; Zachariah's overwhelming aura by itself was much stronger than was Brydent was selling. Looking up to his superior, Amias was also grinning. However...his expression quickly turned as he bid the captain to sit across the table. "I've come here on business, Brydent. My services have recently been requested by an anonymous patron known as Mr. L. He claims that the Aramillan empire is building a weapon to use against the people of Nocturne. Since you've always been so fond of...protecting the authority around here, I figured doing something dutiful to benefit his majesty wouldn't entirely out of the question." And this...is where things got a little strange. After clearing his throat lightly, the Pagan continued speaking. "In order for us to continue with our mission and meet Mr. L at the required location, you and I are to procure two things; the horns of a Diabolos, and slime from a slime girl. Not entirely sure why he needs the last part, but I can understand the horns; if the weapon is of a holy nature, it would make sense that unholy items would serve to destabilize it long enough for us to disarm it." For a short while, Amias would fall silent, giving the Captain time to process what he'd just said, to come to a decision. "Whether or not you'd like to join is up to you; if not, I'm perfectly capable of handling this job by myself. However, my partron suggested bringing along a friend, and I figured you might have been a little cooped up in that castle, eh?"

Although he had little to no ability to sense energy, Amias could tell; something was different about Brydent. The way he moved, the way he spoke; even from their limited interactions beforehand, a change in his demeanor was evident. Although the pagan wouldn't let his thoughts dwell on the matter for very long, it remained a potent side-note in his consciousness. Every once in a while, he would scan his superior over, trying to notice any other surface changes that would give him any sort of clue as to what had changed.

Business? Well, of course. He didn't expect pleasure was the occasion. Still, he hated amorphous messages and didn't enjoy Amias' overtly pretentious manner in dealing with this situation. This dinner and this arrangement was silly; all he had to do was walk into the Captain's office and tell him what he knew. In fact, the idea that he could presume to act for Nocturne without actually including Zachariah was silly. He would come to pay for that attitude in blood and flesh, eventually. "The Aramilian Empire poses no threat to us anymore. They are embroiled in their own civil issues. Justor and Solonor have gone independent from Vangelism and the Angels war among themselves. The order within Fraxon has proven shaky and precarious at best. Wurms attack from the desert, the Red from the East. Why would they in their right mind build to battle us?" The Diabolos was skeptical. He didn't have faith in Amias and he didn't have faith in this "Mister L," whoever the ******** decided it would be cool to make that their name.

As for the ingredients in this strange ritual, he did not find the idea of going material gathering overly appealing, especially without reason. For all he knew, the Diabolos horns would be used in a spell to restrain him. The reasoning Amias provided was ironic of their true nature. "Demon bodies are weak to Holy Magic. The reason you have given me cannot be the case; the horns would only prove a second-long distraction, paper into the incendiary. I am sure you understand that in my position, I cannot waste my time on such cases without good motive. The reasons you have provided offer me no such motive. However . . ." He crossed his arms, moving into a seat and leaning back into it, the chair hovering along his EM field. "I am interested in the man that employed you. So, I will do his bidding before inevitably interrogating or killing him depending on his answers and his sources of information. If that's quite alright with you." He didn't really care if it was, anyway. Brydent would now be involving himself in this. Nocturne's interests were potentially at stake.

"If anything, the weapon probably uses a mainly pure form of holy magic, thus anything with a different magical affiliation would be able to dillute it enough to throw the weapon off course, even if it's only for those few precious seconds. Either way..." Brydent's musings about this man were certainly enlightened. He was correct in being suspicious about exactly what Mr. L's motivations were; it was something Amias had entertained a little as well, but nothing he'd worried about to great length. "I agree that Mr. L's actions are suspicious, but nothing he's done yet tells me that either one of us wouldn't be able to overpower him if his intentions went out of line with Nocturne's best interest. Besides his ability to spit out words like a machine-gun, not a lot of what he's done has dignified his presence as anymore than human. I get the feeling that we'll find that out in due time, though." When It became apparent that they weren't going to stay long enough to eat, Amias stood before turning toward the door. "As for the other day...I don't mean to disrespect the ruling parties here, Brydent. Since you know--and actively despise--the fact that I am indeed a pagan, you must then know that I've been on this plane for quite some time. I have lived through the era of Azazel, seen hundreds of my kin hunted and killed before my very eyes. I have served under countless rules, at one point as faithfully and loyally as you. But, in spite of all that...can you really not tell me that you're not curious? Here we are, with gods and demons descending upon Axiom, and you mean to tell me that somewhere in that mind of yours, there isn't some small yearning to learn more about them? These deities that creatures on this planet have worshipped for hundreds of years, and you're not intrigued, even a little?"

For a short while, Amias would pace, steadily making his way toward the exit. "I find that very difficult to believe. And rest assured, I will continue to learn more about his Majesty at any chance I get. Because I am intrigued. Because the idea of a REAL god--yes, some of us have conformed to society's standards; I see reality for what it is--descending to this plane and taking over as a king is one of the most fascinating prospects of my time. Forgive me if it seemed like I was questioning him, at that summit, but I am just...so curious." And with that, Amias headed toward the exit, knowing somewhere in the back of his mind that Brydent would follow. In order to get the horns of a Diabolos, their first stop would keep them within Luimira. But as for the slime girl...that would be a little trickier. Kusana, perhaps?

He raised an eyebrow, although it looked less like a "really?" look and more like an "are you stupid?" look. Brydent didn't really find Amias's idea of why they might need a Diabolos horn entertaining, but whatever. He didn't find most things entertaining. Though he was somewhat glad to hear that Amias believed Mr. L's actions -- God, the name 'Mr. L' was still pretentious - were suspicious. He nodded his head slightly, though not enough to make it seem as if he really had the same vantage point. For one thing, he found the idea that Amias underestimated him or excused him due to "human weakness" as silly. "If he's human then that's enough of a reason to kill him. But yes, we'll find out." There was no use overly hypothesizing at this point, although being cautious was certainly in his interests.

The rest of Amias' words sort of annoyed Brydent. The eyerolling that ensued was quite excessive in order to display his complete apathy for Amias's explanations of his attitude. "I don't dislike you because of your race. Don't flatter yourself. I dislike you because you act similar to others of your race. You know Achaemedes, yes? I'm sure you do. You once served him. I knew him too, when I was young, back in Gloria en Valle, my hometown. He was my Godfather, my father's best friend. Everyone in my family knew him and we hailed his legacy. He was the pride of the de Valois. Of course, when the histrionics from the southern half of the town decided to kill off the werewolves due to their hatred of Fenrir, rather than help defend us he ran away. I know that your kind truly do not know allegiance. You all fight only for your own interests, leaving others to die at a crucial moment. Regardless of what people may say of my personality, I would gladly die for this country. I cannot expect the same of you. As I said - not because you're Pagan by blood. But because you're one of them." He was perhaps overly judgmental there, but his rudeness was only a symptom of his inability to offer people 'trust' without first respect and acknowledgment.

As for his questioning of Brydent's interests, well, that was something he could at least dance upon. The man was certainly not lacking in the ambition of knowledge, it was simply that he accepted some things without question. "The Gods are beyond my ability to influence. I exist to serve and destroy mortal man. I can learn of mortal man - his desires, his weaknesses, his strengths. I can learn of his creations and the things that he may affect. But I can never claim to truly understand the motivations of the Divine. They are too cunning, too powerful, too capable of covering up their tracks and misleading us all. We know nothing of them. We never will. And they will never reveal to us - the truth. They will only tell us what they want to hear. So, why ask?" He stood up, and followed Amias. He'd already signed up for this, so there was no point in relenting now, even though this guy was way too chatty about all the wrong things.

Kumori
The Shadow Magistrate
╔══════════════╗

The bar had run quiet as of late, with no new customers as of late, it was practically the slowest night of the Bloodbank. It had the workers at least more relaxed before a portal had opened up in the center of the place, with a man clad in his signature leather armor stepping out of it first. He sighed a bit as the portal closed, with alot left undamaged as he headed for the bar itself. He even had a small hunter's hat to hid his eyes as he sat down on the stool, the surrounding lights in the main hall shattered into pieces. "A cup of chocolate dark souls." He told the bartender who nodded and was quick to supply him with his drink, to which he began to take a small swig of it. "The chocolate is overpowering the liquid soul." He told the man before he poured a bit more into the cup as he nodded and began to drink a bit more. "Perfect amount." The dark being told the bartender as he left to clean some glasses.

Techniques Used:

Passives Skills:
• Utilize Broken Strength Passive
This is automatically activated upon the user achieving a broken arm. The energy and muscle stimulating shocks sent to the broken arm are transfered from the arm to the rest of the user, most of it going to the other arm. This allows the broken limb to be numbed to pain but can be restored at an easier pace. This helps the broken being to weild heavy weaponry with only a single arm like a weapons master, except they do not have access to any of the Weapon Master's skills.

• Shadow Form
Most, if not all, physical attacks simply phase through the user. This can be a good and a bad thing. If all the opponent has all weapon and hand to hand styles, then the techniques that do not have energy coated on the weapons will simply go right through the user, making all other attacks useless. This is also bad because if the Shade attempts to attack, once can aim a physical attack at him, forcing him to turn himself into his shadowy form. By disrupting him, all of the skills he used are turned into smoke. The user may also chose to go into his incorporeal form once every three posts, at which point he can't attack.

• Shadow Regeneration
The Shades are known to be living and breathing elementals of darkness. Because of that, they are capable of recovering at a slow rate while residing in dark areas or in an ally's shadow. The body is constantly healing for as long as they are within darkness and having their weapons put away. The rate of healing increases with the duration they remain in the darkness. During the regeneration process, the user cannot use offensive Bloodline or Elemental skills. If they are attacked, they have to restart recovery at the slowest rate.
1 post: Small cuts & bruises are healed.
2 Posts: Gashes are turned into small cuts.
3 Posts: Broken limbs can recover within three constant posts inside of darkness.
4 Posts: Internal injuries or burns from light/flame/holy techniques can be recovered.
5 posts: An entire missing body part can be restored at a slow, and painful rate(Excluding the head or torso and it takes 5 full posts waiting in darkness to recover.).

• Shadowy Trail
A Shade does not cast a shadow, but can choose to merge with the shadow of an ally, similar to a ninja. In doing so, the Shade can act as a hidden bodyguard, emerging from the allies shadow at will. The Shade can't be detected other than by holy creatures such as Nephilims, or Paladins and Clerics.

--Shadow MQC--
Rank: D(Passive)
You can now bend the shadows around you to reach your opponent that would be two spears away from you as you can attack them normally while retaining regular damage. The Shade can perform D-ranked damage when at their full strength while in this fighting style, but this is the only range modifyer this style has. This does not spread to other styles, nor weapons can benefit from learning this ability as this is to be the shade's main Fighting style.

• Vibration Sensory C
Must be at least Novice level
A useful skill, the user channels energy into their feet to sense vibrations on the ground. As long as their feet is on the ground, a user can sense where an enemy is if they are earth bound within 50ft for five posts. This skill becomes passive once the user is Adept Rank.

• Miza's backshield [ C ] : So long as Kumori keeps Miza sheathed on his back, he is able to resist more damage to his back. But the downside is that she can only resist up to D-rank attacks, C ranks causes a rank down in damage and B and higher cause full damage.

• Trusted Wielder [ Passive ] This Skill requires you to beat the Spirit inside of the Sword. Miza the Terror can only acknowledge those who can defeat her in combat besides Kumori Hell. Those who can hold her after the defeat of the Sword's spirit, can become one with the sword, gaining the knowledge to use her full potential of the Weapon Style: Miza the Terror. Be wary of the weapon style itself as it can kill the user if they misuse the Style's own techniques, the spirit would even warn them to be careful.

• Miza The Terror Weapon Style [ Rank N/A ] Miza has her own Weapon Style.

• Phantom Plane Origins [ Rank B ] The user's clothing emits a powerful substance of destruction, known as a Black Shuck Virus. The virus comes out to a maximum of 5 feet in battle, but only 2 feet out of fighting. Staying within the reach of the virus, the foe's own shadow vanishes if they are in the virus's range for 4 posts. Kumori's own shadow skill techniques will gain an increase of one rank for the shadows absorbed into his body(maximum shadows needed: 2) and can only last for 5 posts. As well as performing this, the user no longer suffers energy penalties caused from his class.

Demonic Prowess
The blood of the innocent courses through Kumori's non-existant veins, powering his body through death itself. As such, his max energy pool has been increased by 700 while every single one of Kumori's Earth Elemental attacks are now boosted with a natural life draining energy. Any earth that Kumori has influenced with his energy, becomes inhabitable by plantations, but unaffects other mortal creatures. Kumori's weapons and armor can effect skill barriers, normal/skill shields, and Armor.
