There was the sounds of clinking chains, a sound that seemed to come in from all directions at once. The horrid scraping noise against the ground that screeched the coming of a dark figure. A figure appeared in the entranceway to the hospital, a kusarigama dangling at the end of one chain held in his left hand, dripping with blood while the other held a lantern with a sickly green glow. The souls of humans were flying in small circles around the lantern until the figure raised the lantern up to its head, as if illuminating a path ahead. A brief moment later the souls were sucked into the lantern. The green flame like aura surrounding the figure flared to life as the figure let out an echoing cackle that sounded like the screams and cries of women and children. The figure twirled the kusarigama around in graceful arcs as he spoke, a voice that seemed to echo terror.
Humans, are such terribly weak creatures yet they hold an immense amount of power in a single soul... Such fascinating little creatures you are...*sniffs* Although from the smell of things you're not exactly fresh at the moment...
Cedrick heard the scraping and saw the vile hellish figure in the doorway. "Not exactly flesh is an ... interesting way to put us. Close to death and yet it would see a reaper wants to cut us short." Cedrick said sounding quick poetic in his words. "May we alteast know your name, since you stopped our path to recovery." He asked the being.
Lily saw the man "well..im not getting the same vibe as that knight..so i think this is a completely different event" she said "but still...god damn it...its always so hard to get treatment" she said in a little irritation in her voice. "...he said fresh..not flesh..." she muttered "and what of it...if humans are weak yet have strong souls..theres nothing wrong with that"

If the figure had a neck he would have cracked it to stretch it, but seeing as how the only thing that held up his 'skull' was ethereal energy the figures lower jaw simply lowered itself so that the figure had the appearance of a smile on its face as the figure chuckled at the male misinterpreting his words while the female corrected him. The figure tossed his hands out to the side as he threw the lantern and kusarigama out to the side. They hovered by themselves briefly in the air before being sucked into the two strange skull shaped housings at its hips. The figure made a wide gesture as if he were asking for someones hand to a dance as he introduced himself.
My rudeness for not introducing myself. I go by many names but you may call me Thresh...And I don't think you want to go into that hospital...It's been condemned...It's just that there's no fun in hunting the soul of defenseless prey...There's no thrill to it...
Thresh stood upright as he stuck a thumb and pointed it behind him at the building. Thresh had actually been haunting a number of the psych ward patients there with terrible nightmares for months, driving them slowly insane before he finally took their souls.
"Sorry" Cedrick apologized for his misinterpretation. "Wonderful a guy who like to play the hunter?" He thought about Thresh. "A condemned hospital and you just walk out AFTER we hear screaming." Cedrick said to Thresh sounding suspicious.
Lily looked at Cedrick only to look at the demon "yea..you came out of the hosptial...soo..for all we know..you were the one who condemned it..." she said to him as the ice was finally melted completely from her wounds so she could feel more pain, and feel the blood starting to squeeze out of the cuts. "so..if this place is condemned...where do u suggest we go then"

Thresh looked over his shoulder at the hospital and playfully tapped the ends of his fingers together like he was pretending to be evil. Thresh was actually a being of pure evil and a rather nasty Kishin at that but he had the mindset of a psychotic child. He giggled a little as he swept back the dreadlock like hooks on his head, smoothing them out and raised a hand as if he were looking at where his fingernails would be before rubbing them on his coat in response to Cedrick.
My my, young fellow don't be so quick to point fingers at someone you've just met. Let's just say that there were some unwanted houseguests in the hospital and I was doing a little cleaning out...
Thresh chuckled once more as he looked to the strange fox eared girl with her response and pulled out a thin needle, composed of a dark metal with a hole in the center. Thresh lightly placed the hole on the tip of his pointed finger as it started to swing around like a compass. It spun around wildly for two seconds before coming to an abrupt stop facing a little to the east of where they were standing.
I actually happen to know a wonderful fellow, great with patching people up, although he is pretty old...You could say that he's givin up the life of a Demon like you although I'm sure you have your own cravings from time to time; but me...well I need to get out of the house every once in a while. So what do you say kiddies? Want to go for a little walk? Or you know stand around and hope that some big unforgiving lug comes to finish you off?
Cedrick was growing irritated of Thresh. When he brought up his compass needle and it pointed east Cedrick found it annoying. "Not like we have much of a choice." Cedrick said.
Lily did not like the comment that he spoke of to her about the demon "you are the second person to ever tell me i gave up on being a demon" she told him "i never gave up...even demons side with humans...its not giving up" she responded back before glancing at Cedrick "are you sure..i can always burn the skin so we can make it back to the city" she said to him eeing if he was willing for that, it was not that she didnt trust people easily..it was more along the line she was weaker then normal and a person who came out of a building after screams kind of pointed to less trusting regardless..it was suspicious no matter how one looked at it. if Cedrick did choose it shed go along with it, she was one who would join her team rather than pull rank as the leader.

Thresh chuckled in response to both of their replies and statements to him. He scratched his head as he looked around and then finally set his deathly gaze upon the fox eared girl. He looked off to the side as he put away the needle in the same skull like housing at his hip as he did with the lantern, like a never full satchel before speaking as a smile was set on his face the entire time.
Sure, hunt your own kind and still call yourself a demon when you're fighting on the wrong side. Yea...I would say you've given up what you truly are...Besides if you are still reluctant with coming with me, take comfort in the fact that I haven't killed you yet...Besides the guy's pretty good. Managed to fix me up after I had my head cut off along with half my body hahaha...Man that was not a fun memory...Not for now at least, I do prefer that a non human put up a good fight before I take their soul.
Thresh thought that last part to himself mostly and stretched his arms up in the air as he pointed his index finger in the air. He drew four circles, all a foot in radius and when he completed drawing each of the circles, they glowed and became a flash of white until what floated before him were four circles of light. He put a hand on two of them and dragged them together until it grew into a much larger circle, big enough for someone to duck into. This was actually a dimensional portal that Thresh had put up that could traverse time and space in the blink of an eye.
The argument between Lily and Thresh was bothering Cedrick. "Listen you two can start bickering after we're patched up. There's no since in arguing in condition." Cedrick's irritation showed in his voice."Listen, Lily, I don't like the look of this man "And at this point Lily I think I need more than fire to heal my wounds." he told her replying to her earlier question.
Lily glared at him "excuse me but i dont simply hunt them..i only stop my kind...and other kinds..i treat everyone as equals...that does not tell anyone ive given up...and besides Demons and Humans had agreed to work together...if not i wouldnt even be here" she told him only to look to Cedrick when he talked ony to sigh "well what do u suggest then...follow him or find another way?" she asked him

If Thresh had eyeballs he would be rolling them in response to Lily. Hunt stop kill whatever, it meant all the same to Thresh. She was just a tool in the process. A small part of him agreed with Cedrick about the bickering, but he was particularly bored and welcomed the chatter. He waved a hand forward, towards the portal, beckoning them to follow after him if they chose to follow.
Might want to be quick kids...The old man might go into his meditation or whatever, and the world could split in half and he would not give a flying crap and wake up for it...Trust me I've tried to wake him up when he goes into meditating and he has the consciousness of a damn rock...
"Between wondering around again and taking a stranger's help. I suggest we go with this guy." Cedrick said weighing the options in his head. "Besides, not like its the first time I followed a shady character." Cedrick said thinking about his training.
Lily sighed "then we have no choice then" she said to Cedrick only to look at the demon "dont try anything" she told him regardless it would have been implied but she wanted to just simply say it, she never liked following newly met people, it never helped her fit in with people before the city's take over.
