Name: Illusive Things
Personality: Playful, spritely, she sprints between tree trunks as if it is an elegant dance, and uses her speed to her advantage. She finds joy in little things that other kin seem to miss.

She skipped around the tree trunk,
nearly tripped over its roots,
but on the other side she found
a flower’s vine in loops
tangled under bark with petals barely seen.

She ducked beyond a low branch,
avoided catching her horns,
but up above she swore she heard
the call of birds, forlorn –
even a flick of feathers was hardly seen above.

At night she tread her path with care
so as not to disturb the night
but to the side her vision caught
the sparkle of faerie flight –
then just as quickly darkness closed and left her alone.

She wanders through a bold, bright world
that seems so clear to some;
but this doe is haunted by illusive things
that barely offer a hum
in the world’s great cacophony.
