Having opted to fight fire with fire, she felt pretty confident in her strategy. Which lasted just long enough for the fancy dancey Monk to get one shot KO'd by a *goblin*. Unable to hide her flinch she coughed as thought that were the reason for it. Knowing the Ranger had an advantage on the Gnoll she relaxed- and couldn't even attempt to hide jerk as the Ranger hit the mat- even if it hadnt looked as easy as the Monk. Not wanting to watch but knowing she had to- surprise pushed her cheering to her feet as the Warlock used the same effective staff sweep he had used on the rats. The bugbear fell, hard. Teetering on the edge of hope, it hit the mat just as fast as the druid. Owning her decision, she took a deep breath and let it out slow. This challenge was not going to be easy.... even if she wasn't on the mat herself.

Watching closely it seemed as though he'd lost his balance, or maybe flinched back to the side as the goblin attacked- but whatever the Monk had intended the effect was a dodge! Before the goblin could get himself turned back around the Monk's hand flashed out catching a pressure point, and the goblin took an unintentional nap. As the Ranger stepped in the ring Em thought of her earlier confidence. Not wanting to make the same mistake twice she braced this time. Glad she did as whatever move the Gnoll used looked terribly unpleasant. The Druid flashed a smile over their shoulder to the party leader as they took their place. It was a more evenly matched fight this time, but the Druid still couldn't best the hobgoblin.
