I was wondering what is your method of cleansing your divination tools?
The method I used so far consist of putting the cards in order after I finish my readings for the day, meditating with them and covering them with natural sea salt.

i'm awful about cleansing, and by awful i mean i almost never ever do it. sweatdrop
i keep my main Tarot deck in a pinebox that i decorated with runes of enlightenment and protection. i also lined the inside with some of my own (menstrual) blood. they don't seem to particularly mind--of course, i'm the only person who handles them, so.
my secondary Tarot deck won't fit in the box, so i make sure to pass it through the smoke from my incense before i begin any readings with it. i don't know if it really helps or not, but i figure, even if it doesn't, it makes ME feel better, so it's all good.

You're menstrual blood? That's the first time I ever heard of that technique, although I have thought about using it, but for stuff such as tools. You can try this technique which I have picked up, it's not very time consuming and simple. You just put the cards in their proper order and that seems to get rid of the negative energy.

yeah, my menstrual blood. i didn't think of it myself, i read about it in some pagan LJ community where they were discussing the use of blood. saliva was another alternative that was suggested, though i think part of the reason people prefer blood is because of the related pain and adrenaline (however slight). it kind of squicks some people out, but hey.
and i'll try the rearranging idea, thanks!

You should check out on the discussion on the "Blood, rune, and tarot?" discussion. They are discussing the issue of using blood. At least when you're using menstrual blood, you don't have to cut yourself to get it. I just give my cards kisses regularly. whee

I use a cosmic deck that has images from a dream... I got it as a gift from my mother and I love them... Real accurate and easy to read ^^

I use my unicorn tarot. People say I shouldnt use them cause I bought them myself (long story), but they feel right to me.
My friend got hte Celtic Wicca tarot as an early birthday gift, but they just dont feel right....

I use 4 different decks with various degrees of regularity. I don't have a main deck, and half of them were purchased by me. I feel that a deck that would truly work with you has to be bought by you, for who knows you better than yourself??
I also do palmistry, astrology, and (once I get it) I will have a black mirror for scrying.

I use 2 decks my "Vampire Tarot" and my "Tarot" Decks. I use them both though...I seem to use the Vampire cards more sweatdrop
on a side note, for anyone who could possibly want a reading done, I would be more than happy to do one 3nodding you just have to let me know which deck and if you know a spread, what spread wink either pm or see if i'm on msn because aim wants to keep telling me that it has a corrupted file when I try to install it right after I get finished downloading it from the aim.com stressed
