shade looked at him for a moment and then shrugged. "who knows the easiest way out of this may to be just wait till its over because in my eyes thats not all that hard."

"I suppose there's nothing else we can do." He frowned, glancing down at his watch. It was nine in the morning. They had all day to entertain themselves. But how? "Hey, there are some board games on display at one of the toyshops around here. Can I challenge you to a game?"

Allen smiled happily and stood as she stretched. "Deal." He gestured to his right. "I do believe it was over that way."

He followed after her, shrugging. "I don't know which shops have gates or not. I usually avoid malls, actually. I was never the kind of kid who could spend all day doing nothing. Visits to malls for me were few and far between. Ah, yes, another gate." He nodded toward the shop called Rick's World, in which there were boardgame displays that could actually be played.

"understandable" she bent down to the lock and a few moments later she was raising it. "im going to have to get more hair pins if were going to be stuck in a locked down mall.....so in a bit i need to visit the salon to get some." she walked into the store and looked around before jumping into a beany bag chair with a laugh.

He chuckled as she through herself into a bean bag. He smiled and examined the choice of games. "Why don't we start simple? Here's checkers." He gestured at the board game, built into a box with each of the checkers attached to the game by string, so they could still be moved without the pieces going missing. "Want to play?"

she moved her first peice. (i dont know whic one because iv kinda forgotten how to play some board games.....i play video games and card games nowadays srry)

Allen examined the board carefully before making a harmless beginning move. His dark brown eyes moved from the board to Shade's face, his expression searching as he asked, "What do you plan to do with yourself when you get out of high school?"

He cocked his head, examining her. "It should be something you've at least thought about. Don't you ever think about your future?" He didn't mean to sound like a parent or anything, but he'd hate to know that once they parted, he'd go back to his life of luxury and she'd go right back to the streets to waste her life away with no plan for the future. No dreams, no hopes...

"yes i have thought about it but my future has already been planned for me. i live on the streets with no money....my grades arent good enough to get a job and so theres the reason i have no money.....college takes money and it will cost way to much for me to be able to even try to pay off...so can you figure out where im going to be after highschool? im a 18 year old with no place...my parents died a couple years ago and i have lived on the streets since then...child services tried looking for me but by now they probably think im dead." she looked at him the entire time she had spoken and then looked bck down to move a peice.
