He rubbed his muzzle against Kaleb's for a moment. "Don't spaz so bad every time i get hurt. I'm a Turk ... kinda part of the job description. Nothin'll happen to me that you can fix or someone at Shinra cant."

Kaleb nodded weakly, glancing up at Riley for a brief second before hiccuping and snuffling against him. "D-don't tell m-me you're fine if you c-can't s-stand on your own." He replied in a barely audible voice. If Riley had told him right from the start that he felt really lousy, at least the little mage would have known what he was up against. "I-I c-can't help if I d-don't know what's wrong."

Kaleb wouldn't have been able to help anyway but he supposed that was alright. "Won't happen again, promise, already said that" He nodded slightly as he tilted his head to look at Kaleb.

Kaleb snuggled a bit closer, hiding his face and sniffling slightly. Now that the emotional outburst was over with, he was absolutely exhausted. Hungry too, it was hard for him to eat when he was stressed, but mostly exhausted.

"Anything i can get ya?" He was already late for coming back after lunch and he knew one minuets was just as bad as a hundred to Rufus so he wasn't all that worried about getting back.

Kaleb shook his head, wanting the closeness and comfort more than he wanted anything to eat, even though food would probaby be better for him in the long run. He thought about it, but then remembered how Riley hadn't even woken up to drink the glass of water he brought, and started to sniffle again.

"Don't sniffle .. what'd i say?" He nuzzled the other quickly. He'd just asked if he could get Kaleb anything.

Kaleb calmed down fast enough with the nuzzling, but he didn't try to explain himself. Riley wouldn't understand if he said he was miserable over a glass of water. He let out a shaky sigh and then rubbed at his nose with the back of one hand. "I-I'm s-sorry..."

"I-I'm sorry, for n-not being able to help, a-and getting so worried about it..." He looked like he wanted to go on, but the topic would probably bring his sniffling back and Riley had told him not to sniffle or apologise.

Kaleb let out another shaky sigh and closed his eyes, staying quiet so he didn't accidentally apologize again. "I-I'm glad you're okay now," he said eventually, tilting his head up to return the lick.

Kaleb made a disgruntled noise and snuffed against his partner's neck. "I'd rather you stay safe and heathy so I don't have to worry," he said, poking at Riley a bit. "I-I can't eat o-or sleep much when I worry..."

"You don't eat much anyway." He snickered. "I'll try to stay healthy. Safe might be a little harder with the job and all" Except for the building falling on them he didn't think that he'd done anything really dangerous.
