Bana practically dove into the pack grabbing as much candy as possible and shoving them in her pockets. "Numy nums!" Bana yelled out happily then grabs a piece of fruit and runs back over to the horse and jumping on top. Then sitting on Niko once again.
Bana takes a bite out of her fruit and pokes Niko below her. "Why is mister Niko sleeping so long?" Bana asked curiously starting to worry about Niko. 'I've only met dead people who can sleep this long, let alone on a moving horse. Is he a heavy sleeper or something?' Bana thought to herself as poked Niko while sitting on him.

Yuki sighed softly, picking Bana up and placing her on the ground again. "He's just tired. I doubt he ever gets much sleep." She looked back at Irene with a small smile. "Very well then. Where's your home town? I'm afraid whenever we reach there it might be best for myself and Niko to remain outside the town borders."

Irene shook her head. "Don't mind that, really. The place is a ghost town now. No one lives there except for the person I need to see."

She nodded. "Alright then. Lets be on our way." She paused slightly, as she noticed a small change in Nikos aura. He was finally waking up. She looked over at the boy as he stirred slightly, eyes opening.

Niko opened his eyes, blinking as the sun nearly blinked him. His memories returned with a rush; he sat up quickly, and nearly fell off the horse. "...?" He looked around with dull grey eyes, seeing Yuki. "Yuki..." Then he remembered again. He had nearly lost control to Shadow again. Dispair sank in again.

"Did... Did I..."

Yuki looked up at him. She knew what he was worried about; thankfully, nothing had happened this time. But next time, they might not all be so lucky. Her healing powers had been able to hold Shadow back, but she couldn't always be there for him when he needed her.

"No," She said with a small shrug. "Everything's fine. The bandits ran with their tails between their legs. Irene and the kid decided to travel with us. We're heading towards Irene's hometown now." As Niko opened his mouth to protest, she shook her head. "It's alright. She knows."

Fear jolted through him instantly; an instinctive reaction for him was to prepare against any kind of attack. Biting his lower lip slightly, he was silent for a minute before slipping off the horse to walk beside them. He didn't meet Irenes eyes, fearful of what he might see in them.

Irene was a little offended by his thoughts, but she supposed she understood. It's not easy having a secret this big out in the open. Irene spoke in riddle, hoping Niko would get her message without revealing too much to Bana. She just wanted him to know it was okay, and that she knew how it felt to be feared and rejected even without her powers. Irene looked ahead as she walked and spoke. "You know, a large fire happened in my town. That's why it's deserted. You wouldn't imagine the flames. The flame started in the middle of the town... In a church. When I tried to put out the flames in that peaceful, holy town it was almost as if the town avoided my help. The flames burned and wounded me, still I fought. Because I didn't want the flame to consume my town, my friend. I always thought, that if the town just knew I meant it no harm and if the town could open the doors to that burning church... Well, then maybe I could have helped put out the flames and save the town... And maybe a life or two." Irene turned her head to Niko and smiled warmly. Fire always consumes it's source you know. When it's out of hand it takes more than one person to put it out." ((Yes, fear the riddle! twisted ))

Bana looked at Yuki with the glaring pouty face when she once again took her from Niko. Then when Bana saw Niko wake up and start walking with them.
"MISTER NIKOS AWAKE!!!!" Bana cheered as ran and jumped up latching self to Niko's back. "MISTER NIKO! MISTER NIKO!" Bana chanted happily not even listining to what Irene or anyone else was saying.

Niko listened to Irene's tale, his eyes on the ground ahead. When she finished talking, he carefully looked up at her, at her eyes. What he saw startled him. She truly didn't mean him any harm? She wasn't scared of him, or plotting a way to get him towards slayers?

He stumbled in surprise when Bana attached herself to his back, managing to stay upright. "Bana?" The small childs cries of delight and Irenes words raised his psirits a bit. He tried to tell himself that it was always like this, that they'd just end up betraying him like the others, but he allowed himself a small grain of hope. Maybe, just maybe, this time would be different. Maybe he could actually have friends.

Yuki watched his face. She could see the renewed hope in his eyes, but he didn't so much as smile. He still had a long way to go before he could return to being himself. But she was patient. Maybe Irene and Bana could help her get her little brother back.

Irene felt a feeling of success. She got to him a bit, and it felt like Yuki was hopeful too. Irene was really getting attached to these three. Bana's energy was refreshing. There were always those rare times when she feels another's hapiness, it was always worth it. Irene looked back ahead and noticed a forest area. "The town is just on the other side of the forest."

Niko looked up at the forest, nodding slightly. "Alright..." Yuki smiled slightly, leading her mare towards the forest. Niko followed beside them, holding onto Bana so that she didn't slid right off his back.

Irene was a little worried. She knew these woods were home to the most ruthless and terrifying crew of bandits known anywhere. If they chose to attack them, she didn't know how Niko would take it. So she decided just then that if they showed up at all she would protect Niko, Bana, and Yuki and fight them herselves. Their leader had remarkable power in her blade. She was almost inhuman Irene remembered. But still, she had a score to settle with them anyway for killing her family and the entire town. By trapping them into a burning church no less. She was worried to the point that she thought of going around, but there were a few towns and homes the other way and Yuki didn't want her of Niko to be anywhere near anyone. Irene agreed, going around would only make matters worse.

Yuki glanced down at the bandaged wound on Niko's arm. It didn't appear to be paining him, and it was no longer bleeding. Thankfully the cut had been shallow, and no smell of blood lingered in the air around it that could trigger another transformation. Being not completely human, Niko was probably nearly healed already. He recovered much quicker than a human could, and had sustained injuries before that would have instantly killed someone else.

She wasn't worried about his ability to heal injuries. What was more troublesome was how long they had before his next transformation. With each passing minute, Shadow recovered more of the strength he lost when he takes over Niko's body. He might be still weakened now, but not for much longer. Then they'd all be in danger again. The amount of time Niko could hold Shadow back varied; sometimes he could slow the transformation for a few minutes, and other times it had been instantaneous. Especially if Niko was under attack.

Giving a small sigh, Yuki looked back up at the forest ahead. This was going to be a long day.

((Yuki isn't going to be with them forever. She's just here to basically give information about Niko >.< ))

Bana climbed up Niko the rest of the way so was sitting on his shoulders, and dug in her pockets pulling out some candy and holding it infront of Niko. "Mister Niko! I saved some candy for you! Wanties?" Bana anouced happily feeling like she has done a good deed.

Niko looked up at Bana, a bit startled. "Ah..." His lips twitched slightly. "Alright. Thank you so much Bana, that's very kind of you," He said, his voice a bit lighter and less depressed. He gently took the candy that Bana offered to him, unwrapping it and placing one in his mouth without letting go of Bana.

Yuki grinned, watching them. This might be easier than she thought. Whatever Niko's thoughts about Irene were, Bana's childlike behaviour and innocence nearly got him to smile. This was something of a relief; she had wondered if he had forgotten how to smile properly alltogether.

Bana smiled and looked around. "Wow! Mister Niko's tall!" Bana anounced happily while looking toward the ground. "I can see over Miss Irene's and Miss Yuki's heads!" Bana said while giggling as looked at the other two then wrapped arms around Niko's forhead and placed her head on his trying to get close to his view as possible. "Wow, it must be weird seeing things from this high all the time," Bana said.

Irene snapped from her thoughts and went with Bana. Irene walked to Niko's pace and stood next to him. They just then entered te forest. Irene took her hand and acted as if comparing heighth to her, then Bana, then Niko. Irene giggled. "You get used to it. I haven't noticed before Niko, but you're a few inches taller than me." Irene gave a playful pout. "You and Bana make me feel short." Irene's giggle cut short as she felt someone. It seems the person she felt was shocked, then started wondering if they had any valuables. 'Oh no, not already.' She fell silent, though keeping a smile for the other's sake. Then she felt the bandit's emotions, he remembered her. Irene's heart beat faster.
