Aranya watched Blui pass the berries over before realising that in all the excitement she had forgotten to eat as well. Turning to Blui she asked, "Shall we eat as well, the chicks might not leave us any." She ended that on a slight laugh. "Then maybe we should think about getting them home before it gets too dark for them to fly."
Ichigo says:
Blui nodded sheepishly and grinned. "You're right. They have never eaten before so I highly doubt that they will want to leave any uneaten" He agreed and started to scoop some up with his wing. He wanted to get as many as the chicks would allow him to as they didn't look to happy that he was taking their food. "I'm glad your parents gave us these to eat. They are delicious " He smiled softly.
Rae says:
As she helped herself to some of the berries, she nodded in agreement with him. "My father knows of a really sweet berry bush where he used to take my mother as a chick to collect them from. We've always eaten from there. I'll have to ask him where it is one day." After eating her berries, she licked her beak a little to remove the juices and looked over their 3 chicks who were sitting there with bellies full of food. "I guess we're having them ride our backs to get home. They dont look like they could lift themselves off the ground right now" She said with a grin
Ichigo says:
The male phoenii rolled his eyes in reply and prodded Sachi's bellie. "I guess so, they certainly wont get anywhere with those fat stomachs. Piggy-back rides it is then " He joked and wiped the berry juice away with his wing. Blui outsretched his wings and flicked his head back as he stood up on his hind legs. "Gawd my wings are so cramped. I feel as if I slept on the ground. Oh wait....I did didn't I?" The phoenii retorted and sweatdropped. "I can't wait to show the chicks their nest. They are going to love it "
Rae says:
Aranya extended her wings to full length and gave them a rustle. "That sleep was nice though, I'm glad we didnt miss out on them hatching because of it." She lowered herself to a crouch so that the chicks could climb on top of her back. "Babies, we're going home now, get on our backs so that you dont have to fly."
Ichigosays:
Blui did the same and allowed Sachi to climb on his back since she looked the heavbiest becasue of the all the berries she had eaten. "Thats right chicks. We're taking you to your new home, so hold on tight." He warned them with a sly grin and flapped his wings gently, so he hovered above the ground. "You lead the way Aranya, I'll follow behidn you." Blui called down to his mate and looked ahead at the risning sun.
Rae says:
(setting sun?)
After feeling the weight of the two other chicks climb onto her back, Aranya carefully took off. The chicks wobbled slightly and she waited for them to steady again while replying to Blui. "Just as well it wont take us long, they're heavier than I thought they would be." She grinned and when she felt the chicks were ok, she flapped steadily on the way to the nest."
Ichigo says:
(rising sun because it was early morning when the chicks hatched right?)
Blui looked over his should to double-check on Sachi before flying any further. "Okay. Meet you there honey." When she was a good distance infront of him, he scoffed a whole of berries into his mouth before heading back to the nest. Oblivious to the the tell-tale sign of berry juice around his beak he carried on flying towards their nest.
Rae says:
("too dark for them to fly home" XD)
Aranya landed in the nest and waited for the chicks to tumble playfully to the ground around her. Stretching upright again, she looked for Blui. Upon spotting him, she looked at the mark on his beak and grinned. She was used to the fact that he loved his food by now.
Ichigo says:
Blui landed softly in the nest, stood upright and made Sachi slip opf his back like a slide. "What? Is there soemthing on my face?" He blurted out when he noticed that Aranya was grinning. "Seriously though, is there soemthing on my face?" He wiped his wing across his beak and observed the red juice on his blue feathers. "Oh." Was all he could say. "Sachi forced me to eat them. She wouldn't let me go home unless i ate the berries " Blui announced dramatically and pouted.
Rae says:
Aranya laughed and nuzzled Blui. "It would of been a waste to leave them there anyway." Still smiling, she looked at the chicks who were looking really sleepy from their day. "Did we ever sort out a place for them to sleep? The past week has gone by so fast for me, I just can't remember..."
Ichigo says:
"Er.......I actually don't think we did. We had better do that now before they can go sleep." Blui exclaimed and placed both wings on the side sof her face. He was such a drama queen at times. "So we'll need leaves, straw, twigs etc. to make nests for the chicks. Lets go bed HUNTING." He looked down at the chicks who were giving him the "Your a werido look". The phoenii merely smiled with a shrug and stared into Aranya's matching green eyes.
Rae says:
Aranyas eyes that were looking into his were wide with shock. "Do we have to do all that? We could just put them in our nest for tonight and take them out tomorrow so they can personalise their own beds?"
Ichigo says:
Blui let out a long sigh of relief and grinned proudly. "Good, because I don't feel like going out again anyway. I might break a talon or soemthing " He wrinkled his forehead and started to preen his self. "What? Why are you little chicks staring at me?" The phoenii questioned them and then started to amdly chase them aroudn the nest, trying desperately to tire them out.
Rae says:
While Blui was tiring out the chicks, Aranya set to work tidying up their bed for them and making sure they would all fit comfy. After doing that, she winked at Blui so that he knew that the bed was ready for them. While waiting for him to shepherd them into bed, she busied herself with making sure there were berries for the morning. Satisfied that there were, she found a place to sit and wait for him.
Ichigo says:
Blui was starting to get tired himself, so he outstretched hiw ings again to block the exits. This prevented them from escpaing from his grasp and herded them into the bed. "Now all of you go to sleep or Midna, an evil phoenii, will come and take you away if you don't fall asleep." He warned them and raised one eye brow with a cunning smirk. "I'm serious, she likes little chicks like you 3." Blui then ushered them into the bed and settled down next to them before preening each one and then smiled.
Rae says:
Aranya hid a giggle behind a wing at his threat to their chicks. Once he had made his way back to her, she whispered to him, "That was smart, threaten them with a phoenii who I've heard is actually really nice."
Ichigo says:
Blui rolled his eyes and cocked his head to the side. "SSSHHH they don't know that do they? I can threaten them with Midna until they find out she is nice." He whispered in reply and gently budged Kamin closer to his siblings so Blui had some more room. "Are you going to sleep little chicks? OH NO I can hear Midna comming, quickly go sleep." He encouraged them and covered their green eyes with his long wing.
Rae says:
Aranya had to stop herself from bursting with laughter but she nodded to agree with him. "Yes, you threee better get some sleep. Midna always checks to make sure chicks are sleeping when they're told.." She quickly pecked Blui on his cheek and leaned against him gently as her body told her that she was really tired.
Ichigo says:
Blui laughed silently to himself and nuzzled the three chicks affectionately before giving Aranya a peck back on her head. He yawned slightly and leant his head on top of hers, his eyes half open in a sleepy way. "I think we are all ready for some good sleep. Now you lot behave while me and Mummy sleep or you'll have.....Midna to deal with when you wake up."
Rae says:
Hearing the chicks cheep in agreement before their breathing settled into the steady pace that told her they were sleeping, Aranya allowed her eyes to close slowly. It had been such a busy day for all of them. "Goonight Blui" She whispered softly so not to wake the chicks.
Ichigo says:
"Goodnight Aranya" Blui whispered back, alsmot so quite you can hardly hear him. He peered down at his mate and smiled softly as she closed her eyes to go to sleep. Meanwhile, Blui's eyes were wide open and his head was rasied, as if on the look out for Midna. He had this weird habit of going to sleep after everyone else and had to make sure that they were sleeping soundly before he could even think of sleeping. He was very protective over his family and would risk his life to save any of them.
