Lucia only calmed down from the simple fact that Vana had touched his cheek with hers and she froze at mid paw raise to smack her fathers head again. She blushed hotly and sat back, looking embarrassed at going off like that, "Sorry daddy..." she mumbled, fidgeting with her paws.
Nunzio squeezed his eyes shut, ready for another blow, but it never came. He opened his eyes to see Vanafindon nuzzling his daughter and calming her down and he let out a breath, silently impressed the male could instantly get his Lucia to calm down. If there was one thing Lucia and Cera seemed to share, it was a temper and it helped that they could find someone to reign it in.
He sat himself up and chuckled at her, leaning down to nuzzle the top of her head, letting out a deep, rumbling purr, "He is right Lucia, I only did what I did because I love you and I want to protect you..." he said softly.

She had not pulled away. She had... listened to him? Was her father right? Could someone as perfect as she was really love him? Awed and feeling both magnificent & humble the twin sat back when Lucia did, smiling at her shy and soft and honestly quite silly. His tails with their two-toned eyes waved and winked almost lazily behind him as Vanafindon sat back and watched father & daughter make up.
Vana waited, but when he had an opening reached out his paw and light as a feather touched it to the blush on Lucia's fair cheek as she had wanted to do so often throughout the day. His smile seemed terrified but not somehow. Frightened by his own daring. Hoping she would not mind his touch. Simply awash with feelings, most still new to him.
"Just full of life, aren't you?" He somehow managed to utter with trembling mouth.

Nunzio chuckled deeply, watching the two. Ahhh, young love, it was quite beautiful. Well, he had better go spread the news and find Peatree and tell her the good news, a male had fallen for one of their daughters. "I better keep on looking for Morty then. Don't stay out too late Lucia, or I will send Charna out looking for you." he said, padding back so he could flap his wings.
Lucia was sure her blush went darker when Vana touched her cheek, but she didn't move away, only smiled sweetly at him. She snapped out of her trance when her father spoke and she suddenly grew concerned for the younger female, "Do you need help looking for her daddy?" she asked.

Her sweet smile... that blush... maybe. Just maybe.
Hope swelled beneath his peach chest. Even when reality brought him back to seeing more than just her Vana was left feeling lighter than air. "I'll help too, sir." Then ducking his peach capped head he shot a sheepish glance at Lucia as his shoulders shifted sideways, curling his body slightly. "Um.. which one's she again? & Who's Charna?" He thought maybe the name was familiar, but he did not think he had heard it from Lucia.

Nunzio shook his head as he lifted off the ground, "It's quite alright, I can find her on my own. It was nice to meet you Vanafindon. I will see you later at home Lucia." he said. Once he was high enough, he soared away, over the HQ and out of sight.
Lucia watched her daddy as he flew off from them and that is when she realized she was finally alone with Vana! Wait a minute....she was alone with Vana. What was she supposed to do now, especially after everything that happened!

"Nice to meet you to, sir." He nodded with a smile of gratitude to the father of the girl he loved as the large angelic took off. Then he was once again alone with Lucia. Alone. With Lucia. Again. His heartbeat shot off like a rocket. Alone with Lucia! But this was much different. He should... start courting her. How did one do that exactly?
Blue eyes looked frightened as he turned and faced the light-colored female. Vana's smile shook. "Maybe... I should walk you home? It could... take us a while. " With enough distractions maybe. I don't think I can handle coming up with something to do right now! His smile shook and his tails wagged hopefully. "If you want, Lucia." Eyes and voice could not hide his affection when Vana spoke her name.

Lucia blushed prettily and smiled sweetly at him, noddign her head as she tried to calm her raging heart down, "Yea, I'd really like that." she said softly, her tail wagging about. Walking home would take longer then flying hom, and she could possibly avoid having him be seen by the 'buddies' and having to tell them off.

Some of the fear washed away from his blue eyes. Very slowly, as if having to wade through the thick mists of a dream, Vanafindon padded his mostly white body in a soft circle around the angelic female. He smiled dreamily as he did so, the gaze that raked her body one of infinite adoration for the beauty he saw there. When that was done he smiled at her sheepishly and very lightly -as if afraid or teasing that she might hit him as she had her father- Vana nudged her shoulder with his own. Almost shy, he inclined his head away from HQ then chuckled. "Point the way, then. Where ever you go, I'll follow."

Lucia watched him as he circled her and her blush deepened and her heart picked up speed again. Her eye widened a fraction when he said he would follow her anywhere and she smiled again and nodded, turning in the right direction and leading the way.

Vana had no idea how to progress. But he knew he wanted to keep contact with her. Physically. If at all possible. Padding beside her with his bluebird wings folded against his back he closed the distance between them & matched his pace to hers so that the rolling of their bodies as they traveled brought their shoulders to be continually brushing against each other. Vanafindon sighed softly, a happy smile resting upon his maw.
Then he flicked his blue eyes to catch the soft green ones he loved so well already. His throat moved heavily with the motion of his gulp. "Lucia? I'm sorry."

Lucia, of course, enjoyed the physical contact between then, getting a silent thrill everytime his shoulder brushed against hers. She had to resist the temptation to wrap one of her tails around his, like she had seen others do when they were with the ones they loved. She looked over at him when he said he was sorry, a look of confusion on her light colored face, "Sorry? For what?" she asked.

Love & pain mingled in his clear blue gaze. "For whatever I did that upset you earlier. Whatever I did that made you want to leave. For making you cry..." Even only remembering it made Vana's eyes moist with unshed tears. "I never meant to hurt you, Lucia. I'm not sure how I did... but I'm sorry for it." It was impossible to keep her gaze and duck his head, as he turned his face away in shame.

It broke her heart to see his face fill with so much pain and she gently leaned her head over to lick at his cheek and nuzzle his ear, "Don't be sorry Vana, I guess I overreacted. You see, I overheard my human and my daddy arguing one day about me, about someone not wanting me, and I always figured because I didn't have dark colors like mama and daddy, no one would really want me. When you jumped back earlier, I guess I thought my fears came true..." she said softly.

A low sound of intense happiness arose in Vanafindon at the feel of her tongue on his cheek and the feel of her nuzzling him. For a moment he was too stunned to react simply from that. Then he listened to her words and felt a different kind of stun, freezing in his tracks. As when he thought she was hurt, Vana forgot. Blue wings spread like in anger, then pulled back in with Lucia under one wing to draw her close. His white body pooled around her, tails wrapping around her. Blue eyes blazed with emotion. "You thought... I didn't want you... when I was trying so hard not to touch you... fearing I'd scare you away."

Lucia gasped when Vana drew her in, under his wing and held her close. She blushed again, but she smiled serenely as she pressed herself close to him, nuzzling her head under his chin, "You wouldn't have scared me away Vana...I wanted you to....touch me..." she said softly, closing her eyes and wrapping a wing around him.
