Franki smiled. "Do you have any questions for me?" she asked. She didn't want to have put her date through all that and then not give him the chance to do the same to her.

((I'm sorry! I have no james-like inspiration!))
James smiled shyly and looked over to where a professor was charming a Wireless to play all of the good songs eveyone liked. He had an absolutely brill idea. "Well, you never know, Lily-pie," he commented casually.
Marketa couldn't even speak for a moment she was so confused. "I...I could survive on my own, I guess," she shrugged. "But when I get really lonely, de distance between me and de world, dat silence...it's scary soemtimes, you know? I hate being alone, but I could do it." She looked down and twisted her mouth to fight a grimace. He didn't say 'I like you.' He'd said 'I liked you.' She officially hated herself.

"I know, I've been there," Ian said. He smiled warmly and looked over to the professor who was charming the Wireless. "Sweet, more good music."

Mar let her eyes wander over to where the Wireless was as well. "Yeah; too bad dere won't be any music from home. Unless...I'll be back!" Mar slipped out of her seat and crept along the edge of the room until she was beside the Wireless. The Professor had become immersed in conversation, givinng her a clear path. She quickly Summoned a tape from up in her room, one song she and Yvonne's father had recorded together, and put it in the deck. She smiled as the song started playing, hearing her own voice harmonize with the man's.
I don't know you, but I want you All the more for that Words fall through me, always fool me And I can't react
Games that never amount to more than they're meant Will play themselves out
James looked around confusedly; this was a Muggle song. There was a distinction between Muggle and Wizard music; Muggle stuff was fuzzier, granier, but he liked it nonetheless. "Lily, will you dance with me?" he asked quietly. He took her hand and started swaying with her to the music.
Take this sinking boat, and point it home We've still got time Raise your hopeful voice, you have the choice You'll make it known
Falling slowly, eyes that know me And I can't go back Moods that take me, and erase me And I'm painted Black
You have sufffered enough, and warred with yourself It's time that you won
Take this sinking boat, and point it home We've still got time Raise your hopeful voice, you have the choice You'll make it known Falling slowly sing your melody I'll sing it loud

Ian listened closely. He knew Marketa's voice, but he wasn't sure who the man was. He frowned slightly. Probably her ex boyfriend.

"O-of course," Lily stammered. She lightly swayed to the music, feeling so shy. "Oh!" she gasped. "Why are they playing a muggle song?" she asked excitedly. They might play more if they played this song.

((SORRY!)) "No, I'm fine." Sirius finished off his roast beef with one final gulp. He coughed, as it went down the wrong way.

"You ok, Sirius?" Franki asked. She smiled. Yes, he's not going to interrogate me. she thought. "So, what dance moves do you know?"

((you know, I just learned this today, wherefore art thou Sirius actually means why must your name be Sirius. Quite interesting...anyway!))
James grinned as Lily began to dance with him, feeling oddly happy deep inside. "I'm not entirely sure. But I do think I like it, to be honest."

((Total writers block with sirius.))
"Really? James Potter liking a muggle song?" She joked. She lightly shoved him, barely moving his tallness.
"Barely any," Sirius said, ignoring the first quesition. "You?"

Franki yawned. "A fair few. My father put me through ballroom dance classes before I was accepted here. He's been trying to get me not to come back so I could stick with my dance lessons ever since I got accepted. He's so... so... never mind, you probably don't want to hear me rant on about my father. Are you getting tired yet?" Franki said/asked. Her eyelids were heavy, although if Sirius wanted to stay, she would find a way to wake herself up.

Sirius cat-stretched while glancing at Franki. "Yes." He got up. "Is it just me, or has this dance been goin' on for a long time?"

Franki nodded. "It has gone on for quite a while. Would you like to go back to the common room?" she asked. She put her hands on the table. That sarong was feeling a bit lower than it was before, slightly uncomfortable but livable.

James grinned sheepishly. "I know, I'm very Wizarding-oriented. But I would like to get to know some more about Muggle culture and whatnot. I especially want to hear more from those boys...ah, what's the name? Those little blokes from Liverpool, broke up a while ago, many many screaming fangirls? I've heard one song..." He started snapping his fingers as he tried to remember, humming it quietly to himself. "I wanna hold your ha-a-a-a-a-a-and, I wanna hold you hand. You know that one? Who are those blokes? The...the Ladybugs? The Worms? I dunno, I can't remember."
