Ivy-chan Ten degrees below freezing! Grab your fur parkas and sealskin boots! That's how cold it gets in Amsterdam?! That's it? I mean Rodas should most definitely be feeling that, but I was under the impression it was in the -20's and higher. Hehehe whoops sweatdrop razz God we have such crazy weather here, it snowed 60-70cm in B.C. yesterday.

A polite question and reminder to keep temperature in mind should be replied politely, not with the level of attitude you have just shown. Please respect the crew here. We're only trying to keep the realism factor of this RP up, and I'm sorry to say that we find Rodas' lack of reaction to extreme cold to be unrealistic.
An hour is more than enough, considering that he also had snow stuffed down his boxers. This is not adding the passage of time implied in the snowball fight, that does correspond with the time that Rodas the character is following.
I'm sorry if you do not consider a dash of realism in your RP 'fun', but I don't think a few mentions of shivering and freezing to be too much to ask.

Freezing is 0 degrees--which is a God send during winter in Canada. stare --but it's 10 degrees below, so it's moderately cold for Canada. But Rodas isn't Canadian.

Cervantes88 Anyway, he wasn't out there for anymore than an hour, and I do know how below freezing feels like...i'm canadian! If you guys are not going to make this fun, then I'm not gunna want to be apart of this anymore, I think I know when going too far is, and it hasn't reach that far yet, and it wont, so you don't have to worry soo much anymore. I counted five OA members objecting to this. I've never seen anywhere even close to that amount on this board objecting to anything. You saying that you obviously know when it gets too far even when five people(including two mods) are telling you otherwise? Seriously, that's awfully presumptuous. And if you don't want to be a part of this anymore? Well, that has a rather simple solution, doesn't it?

We deal with the stupid cold and then don't even get any awesome looking snow or anything to go with it. So bummed out... And it depends on whether you count Celsius or Farenheight whether freezing is 0 degrees or not, since in Farenheight it's 32 degrees is freezing. Speaking of which, it's been getting below freezing at night x.x Rain dang you! *shakes fist at clouds*

On the Fahrenheit scale, freezing is 32 degrees. Right now, Amsterdam is 25 degrees Farhenheit(and -4 on the Celsius scale) -- which is cold for the Netherlands. Akio probably set it a bit below that. And that doesn't include windchill, either. smile

Quote: That's very good, seeing that your posts do play down the freeze factor, such as the goosebumps, the teeth-chattering, the cold-induced stutter, the numbing of any region introduced to so much cold at once, and the eventual cold burns. It really is quite confusing for us to read, as all of us have experienced cold in its less intense forms, and not mentioning it seems to indicate that it is not there. There is no need to caps lock in indignation, man. This reply doesn't seem to be polite at all, it is very sarcastic, and it seems you have miss read how I was saying the previous reply, the caps were only there to emphesize spicific words, not to imply fustration, which I had none. Ivy-chan A polite question and reminder to keep temperature in mind should be replied politely, not with the level of attitude you have just shown. Please respect the crew here. I'm sorry if you do not consider a dash of realism in your RP 'fun', but I don't think a few mentions of shivering and freezing to be too much to ask. The RP is fine to me, everything in it before and now are all fun, and still is now, but when conversations such as this arise in GD, it makes the whole experience "unfun" if you really need more description, then fine whatever, but next time I prefer you ask in a polite private message. Thank you.

@Vale
My temperatures were in Celsius.
I didn't know it was possible for Florida to go below freezing! Pardon the ignorance, I thought it was always warm sweatdrop
Oh yeah but sometimes it'll be in the -20's and there won't be any snow.
Nada.
I totally agree with you, if it's going to be hella cold, we could get some snow to compensate for it, but nooooooooo stare

It's okie Ariella, but yeah, it gets below freeziing lol. But, it also doesn't generally stay that way constantly, just at night, and sometimes our hottest days are in the dead middle of winter. We had a day hot enough last winter to wear shorts and a tank top. It was crazy, but it always is lol.

But I guess that's irrelevant, if it's cold to them, it's cold to them. But wow, low temp. threshhold much? confused I say bring it Akio twisted

Cervantes, note that my original post asking you about your character was polite and curious, and it became gradually less polite as your posts increased with attitude. I was not impressed with your brusque and equally sarcastic reply, and I am even less impressed with your attempt to tell me how to handle this situation. Your desire for 'fun' should not compromise everyone else's desire for fun, and frankly, I've had quite a few comments asking about your character's puzzling behavior. You are not getting this via PM, because you have not decided to give me the courtesy that you demand for yourself. Thank you.
