yeah im using firefox...any self respecting computer tech is using it...
*flames* omgz ff blowz yo explorah iz teh shizzle gonk

Seriously, any REAL self-respecting computer technician would not fall into the trap of deeming one browser superior to the other, they would utilise both, like myself :3

Yes firefox is more secure, but that is only because the developers had the advantage of producing fresh code. Explorer has to keep somewhat backwards compatible, not to mention explorer has been out for so much longer and thus every would-be saboteur would have had plenty of time to experiment

Aaah, straight from the mouth of a real computer savvy person. 3nodding

Yeah its pretty good, like i said i only use it at Tafe incase firefox and IE ******** up, because it happens a lot at Tafe, and Avant usually pulls through, but yeah, its not bad for home use either

Oh geez that isn't good is it Mel? confused Is there anyone living close by who's your relative? Whilst I admit I'm hopeless at earning money and paying bills, I at least know how to cook a decent meal and how to do all the house chores; things that have been taught to me by my parents.

If you find it too hard living on your own, you could ask a friend to live in with you for a while.

sorry to be the hardcore b***h here but, wipe your tears and pull your self together woman!! it's called a cook book. you follow the instructions and oh mah god it's like magic!! the thing appears in front of you!! also maybe it's about time you got off your lazy a** and did some more cooking instead of leaving it to dad all the time. oldies should be tortured but we should learn to be independant 3nodding

by the way because im you're friend this is how we boil pasta:

1) take a heavy based pot, for pasta use a large one, because if you have lots of water then it prevents the pasta from sticking together

2) fill up the pot 2/3s of the way up with warm water. i dunno but mah dad says it helps boil faster neutral

3) place it on the stove. turn the stove on high. if you have electric then it's gonna take forever and if you gas then it shouldn't take too long depending on your pot size

4) place the lid over the pot with water. this will increase the pressure in the pot making the water boil faster

5) listen for little rumbling noises. when water boils it bubbles up. make sure you get a pot holder or something to lift the lid up because it's hot. and be careful of steam, steam canes more than hot oil splatters. 3nodding

6) slow dump the amount of pasta you want. i say go 10% less because pasta tends to expand a fair amount when you cook it 3nodding

6i)if you have spagetti then hold it against the edge and slowly push it against the base of the pan, if the water is hot enough then the pasta should bend into the pot with out breaking. watch how cooks on TV do it

7) bung on the lid and wait for 5 minutes, and turn the stove down

8 ) take the lid off after 5 minutes or else it will over flow and you have a very big mess to clean up and a dad going "you always do this blah blah just like your mum rar rar rar"

9) stir occasionally.

10) to check if the pasta is cooked, take one out, be careful its hot, and break it. if there is a little white dot in the middle then it's not cooked so a couple more minutes. you want the pasta to be aldente (sp) so not hard but not soft but firm 3nodding

11) once it's done turn the stove off. place a collander thingy in the sink and pour the pasta water out. BE CAREFUL OF STEAM!!

12) serve pasta as you like.

should work call me if you needs any help 3nodding

Lol, great set of instructions for Mel Nras. xd

And if you are feeling particularly gormet (or just regulartype) it help if you add a pinch or two or salt before you boil it, course sea salt cristals work best, this lowers the boiling point of the water and also adds flavour to the pasta, some people add a bit of oil at the step too but i don't it makes it a little too cheesie for me.

and for telling if it is Al Dente

- throw some at a clean wall, i think it should stick.
- with some pre packaged pastas you can tell if it is done when the ends turn clear, from white.
- or better yet take some ou tof the pat and taste it. xd
