right, so i recently (3 days ago) down loaded open canvas (so im on the trial version for a little bit) and honestly, i cant see how you all make the colors blend in so flawlessly >.<;; im having the hardest time making mie look like they were NOT colored by highlighters >><;; or insanely neon-ish spray paint crying if any of you could direct me to Open canvas tutorials that you found helpful that would be most awesome of you (or something to teach me how to make my lineart look.. er... well more like lines then chunky crayon swipes, (im just scanning in my inked drawings for now that i had laying about) Opencanvas is tricky at first, so it's important that you don't get discouraged. Here are some interesting tutorials by Japanese artists:
Opencanvas tutorials. I found Yura Izumi and Michitaka Mitsuki especially useful. Their English is funny sometimes -no more than mine, though- but still, they are interesting readings, and you can download the events and see the step by step process.
3nodding I hope this was useful.
whee Anyway, here's my latest art -not counting all the black and white headshots I've been working on for my shop:
Sephy-sama. Just a lineart.
Dark Shield -collaboration with Noiry. I only color this, though; the awesome lineart belongs to Noiry.
Usually, I'm not too fond of drawing fan art, but, strangely enough, I did two on a row.
sweatdrop All done in Opencanvas.
