Peter heard a sniffle and glared at the girls, who quickly shut up. "They've already ruined it," he answered, standing up. "Come on. We'd best salvage as much of the evening as we can."
Wormtail cowered, but he nodded. He would have to, he supposed. If he wanted to live out the remainder of his days. "Yes, my Lord," he murmered, bowing. "Certainly. You will have her."

"Salvage it?" Jess's eyes were a bit wet as she picked her head up from his shoulder and pushed herself up awkwardly. "How are we going to do that?"
"Thank you Peter. Oh..." Draco pulled a wand out and threw it at Peter. "You'll be needing your wand back. But be careful, we wouldn't want it to malfunction again, now would we?" He narrowed his eyes, aware that the "accidental" Cruciatus Curse Wormtail had tried to place on him a few months back was anything but. After confiscating his wand and delivering a little corporal punishment, however, Draco felt he had learned his lesson.

"I'm going to speak to McGonagall, and we're going to leave for home early. Pack quickly, alright?" he asked, marching up the stairs towards McGonagall's office.
Wormtail looked at the ground, shaking his head violently. "I will return soon, my Lord." And with that, he Apparated into the middle of the Forbidden Forest, and headed towards the castle.

"Uh-Alright." Jess headed up towards their new dorm aka the Heads' Suite, and began pcaking up her clothes. She got tired rather quickly and took a rest on her bed, closing her eyes with the intention of getting up in a few minutes to pack Peter's things.

"Keyes," began Headmistress McGonagall, rubbing at her eyes wearily. "You're not giving me any good reason to send you home."
"Jess is upset, and we need to get home to make plans for the wedding."
"Holiday doesn't start for another two days."
"Yes. Exactly," answered Peter triumphantly. "It's only two days. We have to get home."
McGonagall sighed. "Talk sense into me, and we will see."
Meanwhile, Wormtail the Rat had scurried into the castle by means of a series of cracks in the walls, drawing no attention at all to himself as he struggled up the staircases that led to McGonagall's office.

Desiree was in the middle of her meal when she suddenly dropped her fork, letting it clang to the floor as her hand stayed still, her eyes widening as her entire body froze up.

Ray looked at Desiree curiously, his fork halfway to his mouth. He let it rest on the plate as her fork hit the floor. "What happened?" he asked, frowning.

Desiree stayed still for a few more moments before gasping and shaking her head quickly. "McGonagall..." Her voice was low, harsh as if she had ben screaming.

Ray had been with Desiree when she'd had her Visions, a few times. "Wh-what happened? What did you see?" he asked, his voice hushed. "Is everything alright?"

Desiree shook her head slowly, gravely. "No...the Headmistress is in trouble." She nearly knocke dover her chair as she got up. "We need to go."

Ray stood up, alarmed. "What kind of trouble?" he asked, trying to follow Desiree as quickly as possible.
Peter had, in the end, begged permission from the Headmistress, and was walking towards his room when he spotted Ray and Desiree. "Hey, you two. Happy Christmas. Jess and I are going to my house. Will you both be able to go to the wedding?" he asked, realizing that he had yet to invite anyone.

"Bad trouble." Desiree nearly crashed into Peter as she was dashing up the stairs, only registering hallf the conversation. "Oh what? Ummm yes probably...Happy Christmas...have you seen Professor McGonagall?"

Wormtail knew that he had to get his timing right. He waited, silent, until McGonagall's back was turned, and she had stood up to fetch something. In one moment, he turned back into a human and bound McGonagall into ropes, complete with a piece of cloth stuck in her mouth. Her eyes opened wide, and Wormtail took a defensive position, pointing his wand straight at McGonagall. "Make a noise and I'll kill you," promised Wormtail, licking his lips and looking at the door for someone to burst in on them.
"Er..yes. I just saw her."

Wormtail looked around anxiously, looking for something insignificant and easily destroyable. He found a blank piece of parchment on McGonagall's desk and smiled. "Portus," he mumbled, still licking his lips. The parchment glowed for a second, and sat on her desk innocent and still.
Peter nodded, but Ray had already taken Desiree's hand and was racing to McGonagall's office. "Professor! Open the door!" he bellowed, pounding on the locked door with all of his strength.
