Jeff growled at her. "You didn't know about this? This company has been trying to kill my family for months. They torture and experiment on innocent creatures and you work for them?"
Kyle ran over to the last cage, "Jeff this ones still alive!"
She cowered in the back of her cage.

Maureen backed away from Jeff. "I didn't know about any of this! They don't tell me anything!" She was starting to freak out.

Jeff turned away from her and stalked to the cage. "Damnit, look it's wings are broken." He tore off the cage's door and reached in for it. The creature screamed and tried to hid from him but there was no where to hide. Jeff pulled her out and she freaked out just like the woman.
"Don't just stand there like a moron, either leave or help us." He looked down at the squirming creature. "Shhh calm down we're here to help."

Maureen went up and grabbed the creature. "You're scaring her!" She cradled it in her arms and rubbed it's back between the wings.

The creature eventually calmed down in her arms and clung to her for dear life.
Jeff nodded, "Alright then, help us, where is your head boss?"

Maureen continued petting the creature and shrugged. "As fas as I know they should be up on the top floor."

Maureen let out a small yelp when Jeff yanked her but started walking towards the elevator. "What exactly do you guys want here anyway?"

Yakov was having a lot of trouble trying to keep the growling and snarling at bay. "We want the mind control chip out of his head, and we would like everyone to stop trying to kill us."

Maureen looked at Yakov with a mixture of terror and confusion. "Why are people trying to kill you? And don't get all mad at me! I have no idea about what's going on here!"

Maureen looked forward again and continued to pet the little lizard creature. It was helping her to pretend that she wasn't going to have a panic attack. Or probably get killed by someone when all of this was over.

"Oh, well fine." Jeff pouted.
When the doors to the elevator opened the little lizzard cried in fear and curled up again Maureen. There were armed guards lining up the wide entry way. There were only three doors, two of which were bathrooms and the far end of the room.
