By the time they reached the cars Jeff was pretty much dragging his sorry a**. He ignored Katrina's bombardment of questions. "Let's just find a hotel."

Maureen spoke up before everyone could scatter to the other cars. "Or we could go to my apartment and I could actually fix up you injuries."

Jeff looked at the front seat. "******** if I can drive..." Kyle rolled his eyes, "I can drive you if Holly is alright driving Mom and what not."

Everyone dispersed to various cars and were soon off to Maureen's apartment.

It was a good thing Maureen usually didn't take a purse to work or she would have definitely forgotten it. She dug her key out of her pocket and unlocked the door. "Welcome to my sad little apartment. Feel free to use whatever you want."

Jeff crashed on the couch with enough room for Yakov while Kyle slid down onto the floor next to his mother.
The lizzard purred happily from her perch.

Maureen went into the other room and came back with a large metal box and set it down on the coffee table. "Okay, who wants to go first?"
