OOC: No problem.
Ray sighed, feeling more tired than he ever had been before. "Let's go," he said finally, making no motion to move.
McGonagall, for all her mental resistance, could not keep her body from spasming and twitching. Her very bones seemed red-hot, but she gritted her teeth. If she was going to die, she wasn't going to make a fuss about it.

Desiree nodded but stayed still where she was. She heard some mumbles behind her, looking up and noticing some portraits stirring in the room.
Draco settled down finally, his eyes returning to normal. "I'm a coward am I?"

Ray, not wanting any of the more outspoken portraits to start interrogating them, took Desiree's hand and headed out.
McGonagall looked up from her position on the ground to answer Draco with a defiant nod.
"Guenevire," Peter said blankly to a portrait. It swung open, and Peter clambered though to find Jess lying on the bed. "Jess? Jess?" he asked, sitting down by her and setting his hand worriedly on her forehead.

Draco narrowed his eyes again. "Just because I wasn't the one to do away with that old fool Dumbledore doesn't mean that I'm incapable of murder."
Jess grumbled and batted at Peter's hand. "I don't want to go to classes today. I'm sleeping in."

"Of course not," came McGonagall's garbled response. "But you're not brave either."
Peter shrugged. "Fine. We'll pack instead. Train's at 11."

Draco made a strange sound in his throat, something resembling a low, guttaral hissing noise. "Wormtail, take her away. I'll deal with her later."
"Ok. Where are we going, Papa?" Jess's eyes fluttered open slowly and she looked up at Peter with a lazy smile. "Oh...hello."

Wormtail, looking at McGonagall with a new mixture of respect and terror, nodded hastily to Draco and tightened her gag before dragging her away.
Peter had to smile. "Hello. Have you thought any more about the wedding? I just spoke to Ray and Desiree, and they'll most likely be able to come."

Jess nodded slowly, slumping over onto his chest. "I found the dress robes I want. And the flowers."

"Oh, good. Mum was asking about those," answered Peter, absently stroking her hair. "There's an old-fashioned cathedral an hour or two from my house--it would be perfect. You'll love it..." Their conversations as of late had mostly been consumed by Peter talking about the wedding. Jess was rather lethargic, and Peter and his mother had taken the responsibility of planning the wedding upon themselves.

((yay! i was bored. sadly my dad is gonna force me to go to bed soon))
Jess nodded tiredly and yawned. "My mum finally owled me this afternoon, I forgot to tell you. They said they're giving me my vault that they were saving for when I graduated but then they don't want to hear from me anymore. They're not coming to the wedding, needless to say."

OOC: Damn time zones.
Peter paused and looked at Jess carefully. "Are you...alright with that?" he asked tentatively. She seemed almost like she expected it, but they were parents, after all. No one could be quite that cruel.

Jess shrugged. "It's all for the best. I would rather them not show up than be glaring at me the entire time."

"You don't mean that," protested Peter, frowning. He decided he would have to write to his parents-in-law. Or meet them in person. "Their first grandchild, and they couldn't care less?"

Jess shook her head. "Not even a tad. Honestly, they didn't even want me so they give me whatever I want to keep them out of their hair. They're actually glad I'm pregnant because it means I can take my inheritance nd move out of the house."

Peter frowned, but said nothing and resumed stroking Jess's hair. No one could be that cruel and single-minded. "You can rest here," he said, finally. "I'll pack our things."
