Yeah, that does sound like a good deal to me too. I had to pay 100+ for some of the concerts I've been too (not that many due to this fact actually gonk ) But, if I really like the band, I don't mind paying that much....

I've been trying to tell them that.
A lot of people are afraid to start charging for the concerts. Mainly because the attendance will be lower.
I think that they should start out with a $5~10 charge or something... ANYTHING, you know? Since they never break even. sweatdrop

Hell, if Shiina Ringo popped up charging $200 a seat you can bet I'd still be on that line. I've got savings and a job, damnit. The L'Arc concert was a total steal. Frankly if they started charging for the con concerts, it'd be a better thing. A lot of the people who attend go just because they can - they don't even know who the bands are.

but thats how they get exposure, you know :p
and then people get introduced into the jrock world.
then it becomes a fad. gonk

crying
it becoming a fad will make everything more exspensive.

The most I've paid for a show was like $20. I've never really seen any famous bands, though.
It's the same for me, except I've seen fameous bands...for free.

My bands are better than your bands.

Plus I can spell better.

it becoming a fad will make everything more expensive.

stare
more? how about a LOT less. If it became a fad, more companies would import the music or even the bands would be releasing american releases (such as some have already done) therefore decreasing the price.

I don't think $50-$60 is all that bad. For a famous band & standing live.

you have to pay that much for seated too.
the only good thing about seated is that you don't get super sweaty, and you can carry in stuff and not worry about it.

my first dir en grey live was the 1.11.2003 final at yokohama arena. they had seperated everything into sections. may as well have been in the seats >.o you couldn't squish up to the front becuase you were boxed in...

I guess they don't number the seats then? I've heard stories about L'arc concerts where the first row was in the thousands. This was from my sister who was talking to a Japanese L'arc fan so I don't know if it was embellished or not.

I suppose you could squish up to the front if you're in seats.... but normally they want you to stay in your seat.
besides, the seated lives i went to i was on the 2nd floor.
squishing to the front would require me to have a 1st floor ticket.
it's nice having 2nd floor tho. you can see everything whee

It's just 'earlier you come, better chance of being closer to the stage'?

nope.
seated lives you do you have seat numbers.

standing lives.... we had a friend that bought her ticket THAT DAY. so she was s**t end last. (they let you in by number on your ticket)
we got her up to the front before it started about 15 feet from the stage.
when the live started, it squished forward about 5 feet.
by the end, I was less about 3~5 feet away from the stage center @___@
that's the most insane spot to be. SO MANY CROWD SURFERS. I went under a couple times.
doesn't help when you're a 6' POLE for them to grab onto. stressed

just need to know how to push.
it helps if you have friends with better tickets. whee but you can still manage to the front.... just have to be rude rolleyes
