*reaching back for a punch, Toshiro notice's something odd*

"wait, i can't counter balance myself!"

*missing one leg, and one arm, Toshiro's MS became top heavy and fell over*

"ugh, i feel like a turtle!"


*as the MS drifted into the depths, he saw the railgun, the beautiful railgun, the one chance he had to win. he grabed it and aimed it up quickly*

*a shot rang out towards the general!*

Toshiro opened his capsule and stepped out.

He scratched his head and looked around. He heard the clapping but was confused by the generals presence in the room. he stood back and stayed silent. expecting the worst of the following conversation between the colonel and the general.

"Pilots don't question their superiors." The general states impassively before Colonel Fitzpatrick goes off like a bomb tossed into a crowd from the rooftops.

"Ah hah hah! You! Yes, you new pilot! You just missed this boy being thrashed by the General's Tsukuyomi Mobile Suit! It was spectacular~" And then he's spinning in place, before the general lay a hand on his shoulder, stopping him in an instant.

"I know you enjoy this, and that's an understatement, but try to keep it professional, Colonel."

And the Colonel snaps to attention, dutifully "Yes sir General Hyoujin." It was sort of eery the way an older man, especially one as wild as the Colonel was brought to such serious attention by the young general. In any case, the Colonel then went to work starting up simulation programs for Saurn.

"Toshiro is a captain now, and you are, as of yet, unproven. Such a match-up would be pointless, if not embarrassing for Toshiro. That wasn't a compliment. You have to earn those too."

"Ready~" The Colonel butted in as a capsule opened for Saurn. "Get to it!"

"Awaaaay we go!" Superfluous as always, the colonel flips a switch, presses some buttons, pulls a few levers and does a whole bunch of other things that don't apparently do anything.
The general overlooks it all, before closing his eyes and visibly deflating as he sighs.
"...Stop messing around."
"Yes sir!" A mysterious ding, and the colonel throws on an oven glove, opening something below the control console and pulling out a sheet of cookies, before pressing a button on the console starting up the program for Saurn.
The general reaches for a cookie then, only to get his hand smacked by the colonel "Wait for them to cool. ...Sorry."
"Mm."

The colonel's voice comes through the link in the capsule so Saurn can hear him then. "If you do especially well, and finish up quickly there'll be cookies waiting~ Hurry up and select your weapons!"
On screen there was
Weapon select:
-- Sub-machine gun
-- Rifle
-- Rocket launcher

Standard:
-- Combat knife
-- Hellzone grenade

"And we'll skip the mission screen for time's sake. Your mission is to defeat the enemy model, simple enough, except its accompanied by an assault cruiser. The hellzone grenades will help a lot. Its like a standard frag grenade except it doesn't explode into just random bits of metal. Its like a column packed with micro-explosives. The column launches the explosives out in a sphere 30m in diameter, and then they explode, creating a "hellzone" within that sphere."

Leaning into the capsule the colonel extends the sheet of cookies "You could try asking. There are many tactics to achieving the same goal, and a good captain needs to learn to recognize them all."
