Seeing that the soldiers were dead, and the spell still in effect, Aansalath headed into the forest. He said to Andy, "I'm making sure there aren't any hiding, I'll be back." Once out of sight, he dematerialized and thought of where Alexander would be. He felt himself fade into nothingness, and then all of a sudden he was back to the mortal world. A growl escaped his lips, he was off...he was rarely off. Aansalath's expressionless face reddened with a flush from the fresh blood in him. Because Alexander wasn't there, he would have to wait....Aansalath hated waiting.

Aansalath went now to checking his perfectly clean self....well, his blood-stained self. Another growl escaped from him when he saw that blood had made it under his fingernails. His perfectly shaped nails, now ruined. Fortunately for him and for his enemies, this shirt wasn't his favorite, and the slacks could hide the blood stains. His shoes however would need to be shined again. He rolled his eyes as he looked back on the battlefield. The party could wait for him, he wanted to clean up a little. But he stayed where he was, knowing they might looking for him soon.

As Andy's body lay on the ground, his mind suddenly rushed back into it. Rubbing his eyes- yes, they were his eyes- he saw a dangerous-looking man, covered in blood, who appeared to be talking to him. Then he vanished, and everything went black...

Korsu, on the other hand, was managing to hold on to consciousness. Unfortunately, his body protested his every movements, and pain seared through his joints when he tried to stand up. Falling back down, he examined the situation. With no stamina left, and without the help of Andy's spirit, he was basically helpless. Surveying the battlefield, his jaw dropped. Countless dripping red corpses littered the field, along with charred lumps that you had to use your imagination to believe that they were once humans. The burnt bodies were obviously from Ixpath, but the rest...Did I really kill that many people? He thought. Was it all because of Andy, or am I really that strong?

Suddenly, Korsu became aware of a wetness on his back. Reaching under his shirt, his fingers were red when he pulled them back. Blood!? Apparently, he had taken an injury without realizing it.

Kiba had jumped into the frey attacking soldier. Pretty soon all the soldier had been defeated. She had seen some of the spells Ixpath used. He seemed to be good at this game. She was looking around to make sure there weren't anymore solider were around and if anyone was hurt. Korsu was lying on the ground, and blood was coming out from under him. She looked at the party members. They had a healer right?

The GM sighed. The half robot boy had been looking for a way out for a while now. It was getting annoying. Didn't he get the whole 'teamwork' thing? There were some people who looked as if they hated people, and they did just fine with the other players. The only way was through the dungeon. The GM beckoned Sorika.

Sorika sighed. "Are the Players being stupid?"

"I though we agreed that they were always 'stupid'."

"It's no fun killing one already," Sorika sighed. What a drag.

"No, I need you to warn... that little robot man... that what he is doing is illegal."

"So a Message?"

"No, in person."

"Okay, but I can't guarantee that he'll stay in one piece if he doesn't cooperate." Sorika jumped from the GM's place to level 1. "HEY! Player!" She appeared in front of him. "You should go back to your group. Looking for an easy way out is cheating. The GM won't have any of that!"

Simon appeared on the playing field, just watching all that was going on. He was waiting for something to do, for the GM to give him a task. He wondered around the playing field for a bit and smiled. There were a lot of new players, and some breaking the rules, but he was beaten to the task. He sighed and leaned up against a wall.

Suddenly Alora saw a giant boulder hit the ground in front of her, and in the next second all the soldiers were on the ground, dead. "What the--" She began, but didn't finish the sentence before she saw Korsu try to stand up. Everything had happened so fast, but she didn't have time to think of that. Alora rushed over to him. "Uh, uh! Giant, where are you hurt!?" She asked while looking around for injuries. Then she noticed his wound on his back. "Don't worry, I'll fix it." She said, her voice a little softer. But how do I do that? She asked herself, while trying to summon some kind of power. After some seconds, a faint blue light began to glow within her hands. Yes, that's it. She thought as the light became clearer. Then she put her hands on his back, and slowly the wound began to close. "Come on, heal faster..." She muttered.

Alexander was sent through a warp way back to the Arch Gates, a short cut he very well abused by using it to transport soldiers and weapons as often as he could. It wasn't in the game rules he couldn't, but others viewed it as cheating since in the game he didn't really have other means of transporting troops. The warp way left him on top of the gate, where several weapons, including the High Arches’ prized Gauntlet Cannon mounted on top. At the edge of the gate were spheres being swirled by an emitter, these were the generators and they specialized in limiting area of effect magic. Anything that was large in quantity would be dispelled; this included magic for both sides, meaning Alexander would have to be cautious with his blessing if he didn't want it to cause himself harm.

A lone soldier who was on look out duty on top of the tower walked forth towards Alexander, whose face was grieved for the loss of his troops back at the previous battle.

"Sir, the others didn't make it?"

Alexander knotted yes to the solider then spoke to him with the most serious voice he had ever used in years, a tone that meant serious business for the High Arch.

"The enemy was powerful, relentless, and corrupted. They seek to pass this gate and most likely destroy our settlements behind it. There was corruption in many shapes and forms, we must stop it."

Alexander pushed the soldier aside and went into the Gauntlet Cannon's pilot seat, where the loud speaker he invented was always ready for his words of oncoming battles or hard ships ahead. The speakers projected his voice throughout the Arch Gate and even if he chooses, in front of it to ward off enemies.

"My fellow followers of the High Arch, I have returned from my mission with grave news to tell you all. Everyone who went with me to fight our enemy were killed...Killed by the corrupted creatures these 'players' are. I could tell as I saw them slaughter your brother's in arms that they will kill everything good behind this gate: Our settlements...Our families...Our very way of life. We must, no matter what the cost, stop these 'players' from passing this gate. For years we have fought to protect the settlements of humanity belonging to the High Arch, from the Orc Berserkers of Mor'ghul, to the Vampires of Argan, we will not fall to the corruption of the damned. Yes, they have power, strength, and even those who seem innocent, but each one of them will gladly kill a human child to gain more power. I'm sure a few aren't as corrupted as I say, but we cannot trust a single one of them. We are the High Arch and we will fight to defend our way!"

Soldiers throughout the High Arch looked at each other with thought and decided it was worth it to save their home, even at the cost of their lives. They all cheered in a wave like motion from one end of the gate to the other, working faster than before to get the gate to max defense performance.

"Prepare our war machines, get the war beasts up, and mount on your armor and weapons; soon the evil we fight will be at our door step!"

A sigh escaped from Aansalath. Most of the blood was off of his hands now, though the under side of his nails was disgusting. There was nothing to be done for his shirt though. He took a handkerchief from his pocket and started walking at a normal speed back to the group. Fortunately the handkerchief was still somewhat clean. The clean part went over his face, cleaning up any of the blood that wasn't dried. While Aansalath walked, he pondered what would happen next, and how long he would have to pretend. He took his time in getting back to the group.

The GM decided to send Aansalath a message with his orders in it. It would be interesting to see how the game played out. They were a long ways away from level 10. He had an idea of where to place the other Reapers, and an idea of who to place at Gate 5. He hoped none of the Player were killed off by these petty in-game AI disputes. He didn't need Sorika going off just yet.

"And what's it to you if I don't like groups. I WORK ALLLOOONE! Got it Reaper." Chris said, and he raced to the cave entrance, destroying the drone and grabbing Sabrina.
"Come on, this is the wrong door." He muttered.

UGH. Sorika sighed. She hated the ones like him. It would be fine if she could kill him, but she was suppose to let them live. Besides it would be too easy to kill them now. She summoned a black scythe, with red markings on it. She appeared in front of Chris. "I really don't want to kill you this early on in the game. It wouldn't be fun."

"I can hear your echoes through the Warp, Alexander. Faint and weak your calls are, never to embrace the true power you have from your Emperor..."

Marquis sat upon his gargantuan throne, a truly monstrous chair to suit a monstrous man corrupted by power. While sitting at his throne, he heard through the Warp events to come, echoing throughout its realm that will very well reach the realm of level 8. A servant, a shell of a man, crept forth to dare interrupt his master's silence with his whimpering voice.

"My lord...I'm sorry to interrupt you...But the new shipment of tainted flow from the Dark Castle has arrived."

Marquise's body didn't not move to acknowledge the servant, but his red glowing eyes crept across to stare into the eyes of the servant, causing him to shiver. He didn't shiver from fear or emotion, but because his mind was so connected to the warp from years of torture, his mind was having spasms.

"That isn't something to interrupt me about, there must be something else."

The servant had an extremely tough time answering his master, his mind unable to take the strain from Marquise's stare.

"Ye-Ye-Yes master...Ther-There are nuh-nuh-nuh-no bodies or fresh recruits tuh-tuh-tuh to use it on..."

Marquis laughed heartedly at his servant and turned without warning to stare at the servant again, causing his head to implode first and then explode, splattering the place he stood with chunks of skull tissue and brain matter. Almost immediately, imps rushed into the room and began to clean it the most efficient way possible: Eating it.

"A fresh supply of bodies and recruits are on the way, courtesy of Alexander and his foolish High Arch."

As Korsu lie on the ground bleeding, he suddenly felt a strange feeling. His pain seemed to be melting away. An icy chill coursed through his entire body, and he started to feel a little dizzy. Turning his head, he saw a girl holding her hands out to him, where a soft blue glow was emitting from his wounds. What was her name? Alora, I think it was. He realized that she must be healing his wounds somehow. "Th...thank you," he muttered. His tongue seemed to be made out of cotton.

((Also, is there enough room for one more reaper? I have a really good idea for one. wink ))
