The fairly young herla felt a rush of heat to her cheeks, "I'm sorry.. It's just.. Well I don't see all that well anymore.. It's alright though, after this, I'll make my way to see the Bear King to ask him for help." She smiled, a genuine expression that contrasted oddly with what she'd just said. Chanda nodded to Bane, but hesitated to say anything, for fear it'd be thrown right back at her. "You know, you might be right about that." She tossed her head, pushing the unruly mane clear of her teal eyes, and looked rather directly at Bane. "Adventure is allways good for the soul." I hope he gets better.. he seems so sad when he's quiet..

Bane blinked, wiping all the confusion and weakness off of his face and posture. He was standing straight again, a haughty look on his face (though it was half-hearted), and gazed straight ahead with eyes of orange.
You miss Gwen, don't you?
Bane started again, bristling. He relaxed at Tanya's now familiar voice. I'm just worried about her. What if she gets caught or something? She replied back, amused.
She can handle herself. Remember the way she handled the group of Herla just a few weeks ago? No one knows her by appearance, just by name. They'll just see a commanding, yet friendly, Delta female. Nothing more. So you do miss her then?
Bane snarled outwardly. I liked it better when you were quiet, Tanya. Now you're just ticking me off!
Why don't you just admit you miss her and get on with it?
Bane's patience was gone. "Fine. I miss her? Happy?" He realized too late that he had spoken out loud.

A smile twitched as Lumi began trying to stifle a quiet laugh. "Some herla just don't listen very well." He stated softly so that only they could hear. Well, it was the female's own fault she was yelled at. That was when Bane snapped at someone, though no one had spoken to him. Heret was quiet, his eye brow raised.

Bane flinched with embarrassment. Tanya was giggling in his mind, amused. Happy now that I embarrassed myself?
Yes, yes I am.
With that the guardian shut up yet again. Bane counted how long the two part conversation had gone on. It had to be their longest yet, by his count. He noticed Heret's eyebrow raised, but he only flicked his ear.

Lumi was about to respond to Heret's obsevation but then she heard's banes words adn couldn't help but raise her head. she looked over her shoulder as if she didn't care, and looked towards Bane. Only to see the shocked look on his face at the realization of what he'd just done. Lumi understood immediately what had happened and winced. Lumi had made the same mistake more than once. So instead of just sitting and waiting ildly while he suffered from embarrassment Lumi called out in a joking tone- "Wow Bane!!! you gave your stocking a sex too!!! That's so interesting, becuase i named my stocking Philip... but i've got some bad news about that..." she looked around solemnly for dramatic effect, hoping to pull attention away from Bane, " you see, it's a GIRL STOCKING!" she called in a cutesy voice giggling like a young fawn. IT'S A GIRL NICKEL! her guradian giggled into her ear, having said the lines at the same time as Lumi, her guardian loved that stupid joke for some mundane reason.

Bane snarled. "You have no idea who I'm talking about. I can guarantee, however, that is not my stocking."

"I belive," Chanda said in a tone low enough so only Bane would hear, "..That she was trying to make it sound as if you had been in mid-conversation rather than blurting something out." She smiled, the mane falling in her eyes as it allways did. For a moment she wondered who exactly he missed.. Prehaps the doe she'd caught a glimpse of earlier? Might be better not to ask... The young herla nodded to herself, as if agreeing with her earlier statement. "My name is Chanda, What's yours?"

Makaio nodded understandingly at the doe as she explained her condition. If anyone understood physical disabilities, it was him. He opened his mouth to reply, but paused when Bane blurted out his confession to seemingly nothing. His expression mirrored Lumi's for a moment in a brief second of understanding. He'd spoken aloud to his Guardian quite a few times, too, but no one really seemed to make much of deal out of it. Why no one was ever concerned was beyond him, but he didn't dwell on it. His smile turned sympathetic for that fleeting moment before Lumi's attempt at turning the topic around.
"Good one!" he called back to the giggling doe as Chanda whispered to Bane. He turned back to the conversation right around when she asked the haughty, albeit mysterious buck his name. Hmmm. She had introduced herself before, hadn't she? And he didn't respond. Oops.
"Makaio, by the way," he quickly answered before Bane could reply, not wanting to cut him off. The larger buck was a little on the rude side, but it couldn't hurt to be a little polite. Especially in the Glen.

Bane's eyes glittered with amusement. "Pansy- I mean, Wolfbane. Bane for short." He had stumbled again. Bane flattened his ears in frustration. He couldn't stop worrying about stupid Gwen, who had given him the nickname in the first place.

Iris had remained silent throughout the affairs taking place. He didn't really know anyone outside of Rook who he had barely met a moment before. Sadly he was chosen for the lead team, to which Iris's ears fell back slightly in form of a pout.
Well that didn't matter too much at least this way he'd make new friends. If only everyone would stop arguing for a moment. Setting back he watched and perked an ear at the sudden burst of laughter coming from Makaio. With an unsure smile he moved closer to the group staying back enough not to be drawn in unnecessarily.

Lumi narrowed her eyes at the rude buck for a moment. And let out an angry huff of a breath. She nodded her head unknowingly when her Guardian said a word that seemed to describe him perfectly even if she didn't know the true meaning of it. 'Jackass' She let out anouther, calmer breath as she smoothed her features to be nothing but a blank slate, while leaning in slightly close to Heret and whispering in a sarcastic tone "see if i ever try to help him out again."

Chanda smiled, "Wolfbane hm?" She took a moment to memorize the name to the face, which at this distance was only a tiny bit fuzzy. The worry showed clearly on his features, blurry though they be.Maybe now you can ask... Chanda nodded again, it wasn't normal for her to actually speak to her guardian, more like thinking.. "You shouldn't worry so much... I'm sure that whoever you're worried about is fine." She guessed it was the doe from earlier, but that might be a rather touchy subject.. She had certainly seemed the only herla that Bane took a likeing.. or at least tolerance to...

((Gwen was seen earlier?! *plots quickly*))
"You don't know Gwen at all. She'd be in here quick, trying to make deals with the others." He laughed sharply. "Actually, it's good she didn't come, really. She's a bit..." He dropped off, suddenly realizing that he was about to give away Gwen's secret crimes, possibly putting the duo in danger. "Nevermind, forget what I said." He said, rather too loud and too sharp. He winced.
The snowy white delta female had been just outside the clearing before he had departed. She had gray scales and blotches on her pelt, while the fur on her mane and tail was white, black, and gray. She had no horns or wings, a rare case. She often joked about it, swearing to get some of Roarke's horn concoction someday. He was unaware that others might have seen her slip out of the clearing as he covered for her.

((Taz doesn't mean any harm. She just doesn't think much about people's reactions to her statements and actions. >>))
Annoyed, Taz glanced at Charlotte. "Of course you're the leader. I'm waiting for you and the rest to get going, aren't I? I'm waiting right here and trying to help get us started. Challenging your leadership? If you think trying to help is challenging your leadership, then you really aren't paying attention to what a leader is supposed to do. I don't mean any offense. And of course Rolan's group is to go before us. That was already stated. But they have less herla and can move faster. Shouldn't we get started then? There's not much more to say. Lead on.

Chanda chuckled softly. He looked much different when he laughed. "Well, even if Gwen is not among us, I am sure she is safe so close to the heart lands." Chanda wondered for a moment why he'd been so ready to tell her about the doe when his guard had been down... Try to put him at ease Chan. I don't know why he'd fear you anyway... Chanda let out a ghost of a laugh, her effort to stifle it not as strong as it had needed to be. Another moment and she had regained her composure. "I'm not even sure why I came.. I should really be heading to the Bear Kingdom.. But Adventure is good for the soul I guess.. Even if you have a problem with athority.." She tossed her head in a manner to indicate that she was the one with the authority problem, though she'd managed to behave herself thus far.. Chanda was a wanderor by nature, wanting to see and do as much as she could..
