The man's fist just barely gazed by Ral's cheek as he quickly leaned his head to the side to avoid the incoming punch. Clenching his own fist, Ral threw his fist forward in an attempt to try to punch the man in his stomach. His attempts were ultimately unsuccessful, since the man jumped backwards, retreating a few feet away where took the same fighting stance he was in before. Ral sucked his teeth in disappointment as he too got into a fighting stance once more. Coby observed the fight and had witnessed Ral's attack. "The Discipline Punch is a technique in which the user will focus his strength to deliver a quick, powerful blow to the opponent. This technique can even be strong enough to knock someone out. Any questions?

Ral smirked slid his front foot forward along the ground as he replied. "I've got the gist of what you're saying." This time it was Ral who rushed forward towards his opponent with his fists raised. He threw a left punch forward towards the man, who quickly reacted by raising his arms up to block the blow. The man then retaliated with a left punch of his own. Seeing his opponent's fist coming towards him, he bent his knees, lowering his body and ducked head down. Ral then his right out to hit the man's stomach with a fairly strong punch. As he did so, Coby shook his head in disapproval. "You'll need more power behind your punch than that." The sooner had he said this, the man who had not seemed to take much damage from Ral's attack, struck down with a punch of his own that hit Ral square in his face. The man had focused his strength into this blow, allowing it to send Ral back and onto the ground.

Ral slowly began to get up onto his feet after hitting the ground from the man's last punch. He wiped away with the thumb of his hand the small strip of blood that had come from his mouth that his opponent's punch had caused. "So that's the Discipline Punch. Didn't think it would hurt that much." Ral grinned as he raised his fists up and got into a fighting stance. He stood on the toes of his feet with the soles of his feet moving up and down along with the rest of his body. "Heh, this time I'll make sure my fist hits with full force." Ral rushed towards his opponent as he had done before. As he drew closer his opponent unleashed a fury of many punches at Ral who weaved his head from side to side, dodging every punch thrown his way while drawing closer and closer. Feeling that he was at comfortably close to his opponent, he stomped his foot down hard in the space between his opponents feet interfere with his stance as well as stop him from retreating back. As he did this, he threw his fist forward and into the man's face, unleashing the power of the strength he had put into his fist, as well as the energy generated from his foot. With all of the power he had put into his punch that hit his opponent directly in his face, he was able knock him unconscious and make him fall backwards onto the ground. Coby looked on with surprise at the power of Ral's punch strike. He smiled as he gave Ral a thumbs up, which Ral returned with a snide snicker.

"Well done. I'll teach you one more technique. It's called Quick Pace. It's a technique that will allow you to greatly increases their speed in order to do certain tasks." Koby walked with Ral not too far behind until he had come to a long straight hall. The two would come to a stop where two brooms lie against the opposite side of the wall. Grabbing the one on his side of the wall, he pointed all the way to the end of the hall where there were two buckets filled with water and cleaning liquid, each having a mop submerged within the mixture. "The two of us are going to race all the way down to the end of this hall, sweeping it as we move along."

Ral took the broom the lie on his side of the wall and placed it's head against the floor while putting both of his hands on the hands.
"So we race all the way to the other side? Do we pick up the mops on the other side and clean as we make out way back then?" Koby nodded. "Exactly." Ral was a bit confused by this. He raised a brow as he looked back towards Koby. "Then how is this technique supposed to make me faster or increase my speed?" Koby placed the head of his own broom down against the ground as he bent his knees and got into a low stance. "You're goal is to beat me in order to get this technique. Are you ready?"

Ral bent his knees into a low stance as he gazed forward with a great determination in his eyes. He answered Koby, but didn't dare shift his eyes away from his path. "I'm ready." Koby gripped the handle of his broom tightly as he yelled. "Then let's begin!" As soon as he had uttered these words, both he had Ral made a mad dash down the hall. The bottoms of their brooms were neck and neck as they both moved onwards, sweeping up the dust from the floor of the hall. Ral stayed focused, keeping his eyes straight ahead and not stopping to even so much as glance at Koby.

Ral and Koby drew closer and closer to the end of the hall. A bit surprised that Ral had been able to keep up with him, he too focused his eyes forward as he began to speak. "Not bad, it seems like you might actually be able to beat me. Guess I'd better pick up the pace a bit to make things a bit more interesting." Koby began to run faster, pushing his broom and himself a head of Ral and towards the and of the hall. Seeing this, Ral began to pick his pace up as well to try to keep up with him. Despite this, it was Koby that had reached the end of the hall first. He pushed his broom and all of the dust collected away as he then grabbed the mod and started back down the hall. Ral arrived a few while after him and did the same, and continued on behind Koby.

Koby looked back at Ral who was a few feet behind him. He smiled, it seemed like he was a comfortable distance ahead of his running mate. He however didn't slow down his pace and instead began to run faster. "You'd better catch up. The loser had to do the dishes you know!" Ral gripped the handle of his mop tighter as he began to run faster and faster, picking up his speed. Then I guess I can't lose. It's time for ME to pick up the pace." He began to close the gap between himself and Koby, closing his eyes as he passed a shocked Koby and the finish line. Ral tossed aside his mop as he threw his fist in the air with joy. He turned towards Koby as he finished as he wiped the bottom of his nose with his finger. "Guess it's dishes for you senpai."

Koby let out a sigh in dismay, realizing that he had lost and that he would have to follow through with their agreement. "I'm a man of my word. I'll take care of the dishes." As he turned to leave, another person walked towards Ral. "I'll take over for Koby from here. I'm Helmeppo, the same rank as Koby. What's your name?" Ral raised his hand to his head to salute his superior as he replied to his question. "I'm Ral, Helmeppo-senpai." Helmeppo nodded as he folded his hands. "Continuing from where Koby had left off, I'll teach you Higher Sense. It's a technique in which a user gains higher senses for a period of time. Shall we get started then?"

Ral nodded once as he dropped his hands at his sides. I'm ready." Helmeppo smiled as he lowered his goggles onto his eyes and gripped his sword at his side. "Good, then I'd like you focus. I'm going to attack you from any direction I choose, using your senses, you must try to dodge all of my attacks and avoid taking any of my strikes. Understand?" Ral simply nodded once more as he spread his feet out and bent his knees to prepare for Helmeppo's attacks that were to come. He narrowed his eyes as he began to concentrate and increase his senses. "I'm ready, come at me from any direction."

Helmeppo drew his sword and pointed his blade at Ral. "Here I come then!" Helmeppo ran forward, slashing his cutlass in a horizontal direction. Ral ducked down low, placing his hands onto the floor, to dodge the blow. He then did a backwards somersault as he dodged Helmeppo's next attack. "Now to make this a bit more difficult." Helmeppo instantly vanished from where he had once stood, appearing behind Ral and cut downwards with his sword. Ral quickly reacted, hearing his opponent appear behind him, stepping to the side and out of the path of Helmeppo's blade. Helmeppo turned his body and raised his hands to unleash one more cut, but was stopped midway when the hand that held his cutlass was blocked by Ral's wrist. The young marine let out a snicker as he removed his wrist. "I'd say I've got the technique down."

The flustered Helmeppo pulled his sword back as he lifted his free hand while he cleared his throat. He had become a bit embarrassed that the new recruit was able to stop his attack so easily and spoke to Ral in a bitter tone. "So it would seem so. Don't get cocky, you're lesson isn't done yet and you've still got a long ways to go." Ral began to rub the back of his head still smiling. "Sorry, senpai. What else do you have to teach me then?" Helmeppo had now regained his composure and now spoke in a much more calm tone. "The next technique I'll be teaching you is called Blind Rage. It's a technique in which the user focuses, heightening their senses and attacking. Got it?"

Ral nodded in compliance to what Helmeppo had said to him. "Understood." Helmeppo help his cutlass at his side, taking a step forward. "This time, you'll try to land a blow on me. Are you ready?" Ral spread his feet out apart and got into a fighting stance once more, raising one of his fists up to the same level as he head and holding his other out in front of him. "Don't hold back senpai." Ral darted forward towards Helmeppo, moving from side to side as he did so to try to confuse him. When he had finally gotten close enough, he shot his fist forward to punch Helmeppo.

"Not bad." Helmeppo was impressed at the speed of the rookie, smirking as he quickly side stepped away from the incoming fist. While doing so, Ral who was still in a punching stance had become vulnerable. Seeing this opening, Helmeppo swung his arm in a horizontal motion to strike Ral in his stomach with the butt of his cutlass. The blow send Ral stumbling back while putting a hand on the area that Helmeppo had hit. "Damn, I left myself open there." It seemed the young rookie still had much to learn. Helmeppo smiled as he pointed the blade of his sword towards Ral, standing ready for an incoming attack. "Come now, don't tell me this is all that you're capable of?

Ral took a deep breath to calm himself down and prepare himself for his next move before straightening his stance. This time, he'd make sure to strike his opponent. It was both himself and Helmeppo that rushed forward towards one another. As Ral drew closer, he placed his hand upon the ground to support him as he then rotated his body while trying to trip up Helmeppo with a kick from below. Helmeppo however jumped into the air above him before his attack could reach him. Now on the offensive, Helmeppo came down with his down into a downward on what he though was was a defenseless Ral. However, this time Ral was ready for what was to come. Using the same momentum from his kick before, he pushed his hand up, straightening his arm, and now allowing him to send his foot upwards in order to kick the cutlass from Helmeppo's hand as he came down for an attack. The dumbfounded Helmeppo landed on the ground just next to Ral as his sword harmlessly hit the ground a few feet away from him. Seizing this opportunity, Ral quickly eased himself forward as he sent out a punch with his concentrated strength into Helmeppo's stomach and knocking him on to his back.
