SPACEI have no idea what Umbrakinesis is, but I imagine it as more the control/use shadows/darkness type.

SPACEI definitely went with darkness for my Volv to aid the whole sort of "sensitive to light" thing, lol.

So, I'm actually rather excited to post now that it seems Durithill, and I have figured out all of tweaks (so far razz ) in my character. I'm getting the hang of this! I suppose I'll start in the Summer of Dreams...but WHERE in the Summer of Dreams, baha. I don't want to just pop up out of no where or anything in the middle of someone's role play. Maybe I'd have better luck starting off another location. (:

SPACERemember, as a result of that tweak, Artemis can't physically change into her true form yet. She can only manifest an illusion of her true form that only Ash can hear and see.

Okay, yeah I figured that. I knew that no one else would be able to hear her or see her--so pretty much in my post if anyone had walked in and saw her in her cabin (referring to Aisling) they would have thought she was talking to herself. Right?
But can Aisling see her as the cat? Which will be her true form once she can physically manifest herself as the feline?

SPACECorrect, that's exactly what they would have thought. Same if Drauth were to speak aloud to Ssthzon. I believe in your post though you mentioned that Artemis turned into the bow though, which is the rank five ability.
SPACEAisling sees "Artemis" (the physical body) as a bow (or whatever weapon it's currently shifted into). However she can also see the cat in addition to that. So like Aisling might see a cat sitting next to a bow, but everyone else just sees a bow. And then at rank four, Artemis can choose to let other people see/hear a cat sitting next to the bow. Then at rank five the bow can actually turn into a cat.
SPACEAlthough an interesting note on that, weapons retain their abilities when in their true forms. So theoretically the cat could shift into other animals, I guess? Huh. You stumbled onto an interesting combination there. I'm going to say you can only shift into creatures of a similar size (so like shift into an owl, small dog, capybara or something, but can't shift into a dragon, horse, mouse, snake and such).

You're right, it's actually kind of cool, the aspect of seeing the cat and the bow. I like that.

I plan on working on my character tomorrow. It probably won't get done, cause I have a lot of writing to do tomorrow besides that, but I will at least get it started.

SPACEMmhmm. The bow is like the body, and the cat the spirit or the bow. Sorta the feel I was going go.

That would be a good idea. I must say, you've been a lot of a big help for me--I felt extremely overwhelmed yesterday and had no idea if I would even be able to come up with an acceptable character. Albeit I had a few tweaks that needed to be made, but I worked them out and of course have no problem changing anything else if the need be.
As far as Living goes, just in case I ever choose to use that again, is there a limit as to how large a weapon's manifestation can be? Could it be a Tiger, or a Lion or something? (I caught what you said about if the weapon is also equipped with Shifting that it may only shift into other animals of the same size.) Also, what about fictional creatures, like dragons and such--could a manifestation be something like that?
